Thanks for the tips! May I ask if I build a three lumber jacks in one row, does the worker will continue to work even if they are in same space? I'm just considering the space and I want to line up them in same jobs (I'm quite OCD) as every buildings I built.
I always pick island for start location, even better with second island near by. Slowly developing main village with center for market. After i build bridge i move all gathering buildings (lumber, miner etc) outside from island leaving only storages with homes. Main island will develop into city with country side outskirts (production, serfs houses). Only commoners++ will live on island. Second island i connect and build military castle there.
Sounds great! I love games like Foundation and Ostriv where you can build in so many different and fun ways and make great towns! You seem to have found a nice way that suits you!
Thank you so much for these tips! Also I did not realize game speed started at zero! Nobody went to work! Then I ran out of tools and trader didn't sell them to me until I added Tools slot in a warehouse.
great easy going vid good presentation clear concise voice thanxz(u did 4get the Backward flying vampire Gerbals)but they may not be in your version of the game lol
Good starter video. One item I forgot about is that you have to go unlock those new things after promoting by buying them in the book. Pretty obvious but I was playing for quite a while wondering why I was still 'stuck' without new things coming... I also miss the 'threat' of having to deal with some adversity from other games (like zombie attacks in They Are Billions or perhaps more likely Raiders or other warring parties that increase in strength as the game progresses...) The bad weather doesn't really make me sweat! Perhaps something for the developers to add? Foundation 'Fightback' expansion?
Thank for the great additions! I guess I might do a video some time for tips right after the start. Guess the unlock options comes into play right then! The interesting thing about the fighting and defense is that there are really two camps. One camps wants to have some real fighting and a challenge there, and the other is really content with this version so there is no real fighting in game. Would be great of they would make 2 options, one with the challenge of being really attacked, and one just like now. So all party's can enjoy the same game!
Well it does make sense to build more Manor Houses, but not for an extra Bailiff, you can only have one! However, a Manorhouse does give: 1. Extra desirability to an area. If you want higher tier housing for your higher tier people then you need to get high desire area's and the Manor House can help with that. 2. You can build a big treasury with a Manor House allowing you to store loads of money. 3. If you use parts that give you splendor, You can grow the splendor with the Kingdom Estates to unlock the new higher splendor tier buildings. 4. You need tax collectors all over the various parts of town, and the tax collector is a part of the Manor House. So you will need to build more. You don't need to build all pieces everywhere. One great hall is enough for instance. But more tax collectors all over town will help you make more money!
Please help me! I have commoners in my town, but the need entertainment, and I have built a tavern with a connecting public lunch but the don't use it. They both have doors and I have commoners working there, and beers to sell. Why are the not entertained?? :)
Thank you for the question. What you need specifically is: 1. A building that serves as the Service Counter. You assign the Taverner(one or more commoners can be assigned to do the job) there. They will serve the people in the Tavern. 2. A public lounge were the people can sit and drink. 3. A stock of beer, berry brew or wine present in the Tavern. If that is all good then commoners will come and get entertainment. It takes time of course for some to actually come and if the Tavern is to far from their house they wont come at all. If you have plenty of berries, it can be a good idea to add a berry brewer that can brew berrie brew and get it to the tavern quickly. But that is option of course. I hope this helps!
Well I wish I could do this for livestreams. But this is an uploaded video that I have set as a Premiere. When I do a livestream I don't have options like this. I will seek if there is a better way to get a notification out about livestreams. But so far all I seem to be able to do as make a post about it, not something like with this video!
@@gradjepeeters43 Yeah I've found the planning button. Hopefully it does precisely what we want and send a notification in time. I will try it later this evening for tomorrows stream!

All the ideas seem so simple when explained, but I was one of many that did things all wrong. Thanks for such a great guide!
Thank you so much for your very kind words! I’m really glad my video helped. I hope you can build a great village!
even though you cant see the desirability of the housing areas anymore i really learned a thing or two, this was a helpful video :)
Yeah this is already a little outdated. Maybe I can do a new one in a couple of weeks completely up to date!

Hello, how do I pick berries? I place the building next to it but always says there are no products 😅
Did you make it a extraction zone? The blue zone tool and color the berries blue. Then they can pick them.
Did it help? Got it to work now?
Yes yes! Thank you 😁
