    Interesting video. I run the 6000 on 9 and difficult. Occasionally I will play with the auto settings and also turn off the threshold whilst testing over a target. That was really eye opening 😳 your test. Cheers 🍻

      Yes interesting, people can tell you this but until you experience it yourself, it’s hard to understand. I was testing another machine, so this was just to summarise the results. I didn’t have my wits about me to try auto and raise the coil to replicate the nugget being deeper. My guess is, if I had raised the coil I would have heard it. I can’t prove that though.
      Mind you, on certain ground, normal has its own issues.

    Difficult mode is a discrimination mode. In bad ground you should lower your sensitivity.

    • @goldfools5445
      @goldfools5445  2 місяці тому

      Difficult is not a discrimination mode as such.
      It’s a reduced frequency mode to eliminate certain wave ground noises.
      It has no discrimination to differentiate between different metal types.

    Did you work out why the Algo was turning off on its own?

      Sorry for late reply. It hasn’t done it since.
      Sometimes it’s slow to go into pinpoint mode. Not that I use that with gold.
      Thanks for the comment 👍

    Why having one detector wont get all the gold. The 6000 doesn't see certain shaped gold in difficult or normal its tuned for a specific gold type 😂

    • @goldfools5445
      @goldfools5445  2 місяці тому

      Normal will see all gold. Difficult will see all gold but certain nuggets the response will be not as strong as normal.
      The 6000 will still find more gold than any current detector on the market.
      The 7000 in skilled hands might have a depth advantage in some cases.
      Any other detector will certainly miss gold these detectors will see.
      Thanks for commenting. 👍

      @goldfools5445 Your kidding yourself if you think it sees all the gold your swinging over in normal or difficult the timmings are tuned for a specific type of gold and depth the odd shape smooth nugget wont be heard thats even within its depth range and some will be quieter like your test shows. And yes the 6000 will find more gold consistently more than any other detectors avaliable today but only in the flys#@t category.

      @ozyprospector not sure what your point is. This video is explaining the 6000 misses some gold nuggets.

    I did learn this a while ago with the 6000 I use normal a lot. Difficult can tune targets out even small ones. I have proven this on a patch. I use normal much more than difficult.

    • @goldfools5445
      @goldfools5445  5 місяців тому

      I had heard it can tune out small nuggets, I never expected a half ounce shallow to disappear.
      I use normal mostly as well, there are those times however when normal goes off on bad ground.

    I guarantee ATX will hear all of that every time.

      The GPX 6000 is years ahead of the technology in the ATX. The ATX is a very unpopular machine in Australia.
      I can’t comment on its performance as I haven’t used one. I know people who have, they don’t rate them as good as the GPX.

    • @donaldblank8873

      @@goldfools5445 That's the point. The ATX circuitry will still hear all of those targets. It's the housing that sucks.

      It seems that If you don’t run in normal, you must be mad. I can assure you, it’s not that black and white. Anyone who thinks it is, has never detected difficult ground. Thanks for watching and commenting👍

      @ProspectorswithParkinsons They obviously never detected heavy mineralised ground then 🤣

    I run mine in normal only but don’t use that poxy 11” standard coil, I gave that piece of junk away, put an x coil on it.

      @@goldfools5445 I have the10x5 and 9” coiltek coils and the nugget finder exceed, the Xceed is crap compared to the 9” coiltek, I run the 9” in normal flat out in most places, just sent the 11” standard coil to my friend in Pinjara WA. I did mean the x -coil but it’s a tricky one getting the chip out of the 14” coil and making a patch lead out of it,

      I don’t think XCoil will ever get permission to do it. I know XCoil experimented with a couple, they didn’t go commercial with it.

      It’s amazing that the detector can have those dead zones. A a frequent user of the 6000, it’s not as cut and dry as it seems. There are certain grounds that running in normal is the only way.
      What I do, is run in normal. If I get a signal, change to difficult. If there is absolutely no signal, dig if you want. If there is the very slightest signal, I would definitely dig. Once the depth has changed, you will know if it’s a target or not.
