A Good morning on the gold & Final trip weigh up.
The last day of our 10 day trip we picked up some nice bits. All in all this was one of our best trips, not necessarily with how much gold we found “we have found more” but just how well everything went. Great weather, spectacular flora, great company and good gold finds on interesting ground.

It is uploaded out of sync because I wanted to be sure what I was saying about pegging a new lease wag going to come to fruition. The first few areas we tried were littered with old timers and modern rubbish. I look at this as a positive, I find digging worthless junk frustrating, but it means...

We found a few nuggets which covered the cost of the hire and a bit to spare. We thank the support of Reeds prospecting, with advice and equipment supplies. Great video! Would you recommend the Algorithm for someone with experience with VLF machines wanting to move over to a PI machine as a hobby in mineralised ground? Or would it be better buying second hand 5000 or paying the extra and getting a 6000?
That’s a tricky one. Myself I would think it’s a perfect middle step from VLF to PI. It would be easily mastered for someone with VLF experience. It’s a fun machine with real ability to find gold in highly mineralised ground. You can experiment with different coils although the NF saddle is a good fit. It works best where you need it to work. Small gold at some depth. To a point. It has its limits but I think it’s in the right zone. A 5000 is going to struggle with the small gold but will have a depth advantage on larger stuff. Let’s get real here. Most ground has probably been worked with a 5000 so that bigger stuff is mostly gone. If the Algo is within your budget, that’s the way I would go. I will say this again though, the 6000 is a step above the algo but at a price.
@goldfools5445 great advice cheers!
Gooood
They sure are. If you don’t want to miss our 2025 videos. Subscribe please. We will be back out in April 25.
I've just bought a gold Monster 1000 I've had it for 3 weeks I have found 9 specimen pieces of gold in The Matrix in extremely highly mineralised ground I find it works in a combination of the settings Finding the target in auto Check target in manual 9,10 and van in discrimination some of the pieces I have found a beautiful 👍
I'm in nsw
Excellent. There are certain places the GM 1000 is made for. Keep working those areas, you are on to it.👍
Some gold spec with the algo good on depth this with 12"nugget finder and small gold with the saidie ,and it go deep ,have to use the pinpointer on the deep hole, love the light weight machine ,👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
@@henniebouwmans7879 this was a first release machine. Has had a few software updates since,. It might be different if I tried it now.
Bring it to Africa. We love it because we pick nuggets and find veins and gold pots. It's made me buy all the other minelab super deters gpx series and gpz 7000🎉
Minelab are the best machines for highly mineralised ground.
I hate the GM1000. Couldn't make heads or tails if anything was a actual target or not. Sent the pos back. My GB Pro gets so much more done than the 1000 ever did. I hate when people still recommend this turd. The Nokta Gold Finder 2000 is a 20x better machine than the non collapsable GM1000. I still need a PI machine however and do away with the VLF life.
I haven’t used the detectors you mentioned so I can’t comment. I am definitely a PI only user now. Have the GPX 6000 it’s a brilliant machine. The GM 1000 is for the kids if the want something to go beep.
Hello, what is the depth of this device?
Rather than say a particular depth, I can say it has a sensitivity and ground management software that puts it fair square in the gold finding zone. Depth depends on ground mineralisation and target size. I have found good gold with it in the same zone as the gpx6000 finds. It won’t have the ultimate depth of a GPZ 7000 on big deep nuggets but they are very rare to find.
Depth is important to me, I want to know what the final depth is, I will be grateful.
@farhadsofiqaderi If you want a deep seeking detector this is not the detector for you. You should buy a Minelab GPZ 7000. You will need to dig deep for the deep for the deepest digger. Expect $7000 us minimum.
Might help if you knew how to use it.
You either didn’t watch the whole way through or you didn’t listen to what I was saying.
@@goldfools5445 I watched enough and listened enough to understand you don't know how or do not want to know how to use it. This video is like jumping out of an airplane with a 50 gallon trash bag and complaining it isn't a parachute. Had you made a serious effort to make it work the best it could in the worse case scenario that would be different.
@GoldChump gold is worth a lot of money, why would you handicap yourself to only finding a bit of it, when there are machines that will find so much more. I prefer to find ounces of gold, not have to torture myself to find a few specks.
@@goldfools5445 It is called objectivity. I am not suggesting you use a GM1000 over a GPX6000 in the case displayed on the video, but there is plenty of situations you might use a GoldBug2 over GPX6000. This video is like comparing the Aquascan DX300 with the GPX6000 at 30 feet underwater.
Thanks, Mark, for the in-depth video. I'm just a newcomer to this hobby and looking to buy a new detector. So, in short, do you recommend the E1500 for the price?
Definitely, the Sadie coil may be the best choice in the long run. Since this video Algo have made some software updates and they are an improvement in user performance. For the price it’s a very good gold detector and it also does a good job as a coin detector as well.
NICE" GOLD! CHEERS" from 0c Idaho!

Mate, whats that coil your using on the 6000? I remember we spoke a coils for the 6 but from memory I think it was the 14 that DD that came with the 6000.
There is no, “one coil fits all” in this video on the 6000 I am using a 17x13 Minelab coil and a Coiltek 9” Goldhawk mono. In a previous video I was using the 14”DD that comes with the 6000. That coil is very good, especially when the weather is stormy. The 17x13 is a great patch hunting coil with the ability to reach some deep targets. The target response is subtle though, you need your wits about you to pick targets from ground noise. The 9” goldhawk mono is a killer. I love it. No good when storms about though, even if 50ks away. All the coils are great in the right circumstances. The 6000 is just the bomb, I love it.. 🤣👍😁🫡🍻
@@goldfools5445 Cheers Mate. Gotta Agree - loving the 6000. Can't see me missing the 7 LOL

Boa noite, só uma pergunta; qual dos dois detectores é melhor: 6 ou 7?
Both are great detectors. The 6000 is nicer to use and a lot lighter. The 7000 will find similar gold to the 6000 with the possible advantage on larger nuggets at depths beyond the smaller coil on the 6000. The 17 x 13 on the 6000 willl give it similar depth to the 7000 at the expense of some sensitivity to very small gold. 👍
Boa noite, seus vídeos são ótimos! Adoro assisti-los. Assistindo daqui do Brasil. Qual detector é melhor pra solo muito minerelizado, 6 ou 7?

Nice work mate. Bloody wild flowers everywhere still 😅 Starting to heat up now😮
Yeah! Stomp on em.. Seriously, it was the nicest we have seen it up there. I always make sure I am home by October the first. When it’s hot, everything is hot. The air is hot, the ground is hot, the detector is hot, the fridge is struggling, I get hot. There are six good months when you don’t have to put up with it. 🔥🔥🤣..
Is emi the only time you drag out the DD?
Definitely not. Now I know how good it is, I will definitely be using more often. Great for ground coverage and sensitive to small gold. 👌👍
Nice video. Don't underestimate the DD 14. I pulled a 0.4 11-inch down in Meeka on hot ground.
That’s a good effort. I have found a few multi gram nuggets at that depth but not sub grammars.. 👍
Very nice haul
Are you finding any tea bag staples lately?
I think the old timers that worked this area made Billy tea😉
Those DD coils work great. I won't use a back breaking Mono Coil ever again. I'm sold on the DD. There's a rumour out there that a DD won't detect small gold. You've just proved that theory to be a furphy mate. Cheers.🎉
DD finds the smallest gold. It’s a good coil. 👍👌
It looks like laterite area, true?
It’s a bit of everything. There are some laterite areas. We have found gold on brown laterite areas. 👍
