Already contributed to have that amazing robot! It's on the way to Italy and i will Be the first in Italy to have it and review it on my network! Amazing!
As it is now it seems that RUX is a smartwatch with legs and face animations. I like EMO cuz he feels more like a pet, as for Rux, he feels more like and an assistant. I want that unpredictably from a pet, but maybe they are still developing that so I am looking forward to seeing more of Rux. Im just wondering how he is in idle state.
Thanks for watching! His idle state currently is mostly the Home Screen with the time, date, etc. and then randomly he'll come to life with different expressions and things to say. Emo still a lot more interactive in his idle state as is Loona, but I guess we'll see what they do with Rux in the future!
I don't want to interact with the robot but I want the robot to interact with me. If I was good enough in interacting I would have real friends 😅. I still see a decade gap in robots being a companion. It doesn't seem like present robot can have various personalities depending on with whom they spend time with.
That's the point. I see the robot more as a smartwatch with legs because it takes notes, gives me appointments, handles video calls, etc. and only does what you enter. It would be great if the robot worked autonomously and started a conversation on its own with had a common thread. Reactions, feelings or my mood should influence the course of the conversation.
@@rocks-channel @sreegamer9498 I totally agree on both your points, haha. I think the truly autonomous robot has yet to come, however if this company or other companies with current robots on the market could figure this out programmatically, I don't see any reason why they couldn't just push an update and make this entirely possible. Hopefully we'll see a robot (or update to the currently available desktop robots) reach this stage very soon. Thanks for watching!
Hey Eric!!! FANTASTIC VIDEO AS PER USUAL!!!! One suggestion: How about Rux robot having the ability to interact with Emo and Loona or other desktop robots….I know that would require some type of agreements between all of the manufacturers……also having the robots more interactive. For example, How about having the robots (without prompting to more readily call your name ask you how your day was…….etc. Once again, thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
This is what I was looking for.. much more animated. But the chatgtp integration in Miko Mini is amazing as well. Mikos sound and how it takes the answers and explains them in a simple way is crazy good. You feel it’s an actual robot. I feel if they keep at it Miko has the potential to be one of the best A.I. robots around. It’s tailored for kids but if you don’t set it up, you can speak with it on any topic and it will answer. I asked it about an OBDII code and it not only told me what the code was but broke the code down so I could understand it. It was also interesting to ask it what it would do if it became self aware. But I believe these chatgtp integrated desktop robots are definitely the future. Thanks for this review.
This is amazing! Can you just have a conversation with it without asking a question? For example this basic conversation, if you just said, "good morning rux. I hope you're well today. I'm feeling tired as I didn't sleep well last night." then would it reply in context conversationally like gpt would or would it be confused?
So I just prompted it with exactly what you just typed and it accessed GPT and said "good morning, I'm sorry you didn't sleep well" and then went on to offer advice on how to sleep better. in all honesty, it's a pretty good conversationalist compared to other robots, however I think it's that good because its accessing gpt and forwarding the response OpenAI gives verbatim, which isn't a bad thing, but I think it has a ways to go if it wants to have it's own personality. It's still a fun robot to play with though. Thanks for watching!
@@EricKuhns thanks for trying out the experiment and yes it seemed to carry on a conversation well. And I do wonder if it will develop organically over time the more you interact with it. This is what has happened with the Claude AI over time.
I have a question: if this robot is not really finished yet but they're already selling it, are they gonna ship beta versions of this bot to customers? Yes software can be updated, but hardware can not... So if he hardware is beta, then I'm not sure this was clearly communicated 🤔
This is a great question! Most issues with this robot seem to be able to be solved with OTA software updates, except the base plate issue (though I may be wrong). I’m told these robots are being tested in their beta phase, so that when they do release, any major corrections with the hardware can be corrected before being sent out as well. A lot of the main issues that I noticed while testing this robot out like the confusion between switching to AI when being prompted with regular prompts and just the general app configurations, are all things being worked on as OTA updates that only relate to the software. I would be very interested to see how the self charging turns out though upon release as I’m not sure if that’s fixable by software updates or if it’s a physical bad plate issue. I guess we’ll see! I’ll continue playing with mine and keep everyone updated as it progresses. Thanks for watching!
Although possible, I think it’s meant to stay on a counter or desk, but I’m sure it could/would walk around the home, just VERY slowly, haha. Thanks for watching!
There's no limit to how far it will walk as long as it has battery power, but you'd want to be careful not to step on it. Something bigger and faster might be better for a house robot.
I wonder if you can change the voice? In the video, it sounded more female, but id like it to be male. thats one of the main things that keeps me from getting a desktop robot. I dont have a Rux, but im seriously considering getting one, however, the voice is my biggest deterrent based on the information i currently know.
Hi Eric. Thanks for an amazing video, as usual. Im thinking i prefer Rux to emo as a pet. The reason is Rux seems more responsive, and the voice is a lot clearer, which i appreciate. Another thing is with emo i dont like is i have heard him swear before with one of his songs. Which doesn't feel suitable for a child under 13. I always go by your videos to help me decide my new Bots. So thanks to you, im going to be £350 out of pocket, lol 😅. Im definitely going to be getting one x
Rux looks great! What I was hoping it would be able to do when I watched your video was such things as send an email, make suggestions as ChatGPT would if you were discussing an idea with it, and other business type interactions. Can it do those? Also, can it interact with my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold phone? Thanks for the great video!
Rux is not the first using chatgpt like that. Vector can also be used like that using wirepod since months ago, if you ask him and he does not know it will use chatgpt.
