Engine Leak Down Test - Simple Step By Step DIY Guide

In this video I show how to accurately perform a cylinder leak down test.
This test pinpoints faults causing that cause low compression on your engine, it gives you a clear direction of what repairs are needed and in the example I show in this video, it diagnosed the exact fault with an intake valve not seating.
Having the correct approach to diagnosing leaves you with accurate results. If you are working on engines and are concerned about head gasket failure, worn piston rings, worn cylinder walls, low compression, cracked piston, cracked cylinder head, intake or exhaust valves not sealing fully, then this test is fantastic to confirm the fault.

i like the smokers they use to easily find a leak.
i put an air gun and a rag in the tail pipe , compressor set on low psi and spray soapy water checking for exhaust leaks.
guessing youd have every diagnostic tool under the sun like testing a radiator for exhaust gases etc.
