This is peeling off my leather boots. I stripped the leather, painted with Angelus paint, added Glitterlites and added the finisher. After two uses, the paint is lifting in some of the creases. I made sure to follow your instructions to do it in thing layers.
Sorry you had this experience! This definitely shouldn't be the case. Please email us at info@angelusdirect.com and we will help you get to the bottom of it!
Not when using our Glitterlites. The finisher can be used after you use our paints. Acrylic Finisher is a clear top coat that can help protect the paint from minor scuffs and scratches. Using Acrylic Finisher is also a great way to add a nice sheen to your project. 👍
Davidgotkicks I'm about to work on a custom, the shoe has gray and red, should I paint it all white and then add the colors I want onto it after it dries? Please help me bro
It's usually recommended using a base coat similar in color to the glitterlites. However, you are welcome to experiment using different colors to see if you like the finished look.
My daughter wants her 60 year old pop, paint her Doc Martens blue with glitter. Thanks for posting this. This gives me ideas for other types of shoes and art projects.....lol....building things with things others throw or give away is my thing besides painting and drawing. Thanks for answering my question with your video!!! Question, have you or will you be showing what a sole protector product is and it's use? Thanks! P.S. thanks for the detailed instructions.
Thanks for watching. We're happy to help. Unfortuantly we do not offer any sole protector products but you may be able to find some use info/videos here on UA-cam. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com
Wow 1rst of all amazing job 👊🏽👊🏽 then If you pain the sole of a boost or others type with the leather angelus paint, will the paint stay for a long time on the shoe without crumble / be friable ?
is it possible if you guys can do a Chicago 1 custom on retro 1s and is it ok to use a matte finisher on the shoe after the glitter process is complete?
When you're painting the bottom of Jordan's 12s, how do you keep the paint on the bottom of the shoe and keep it from scratching off when you walk on it
I've just found your leather paint and now glitterlites! 😍 I would like to try a peacock effect using dark blue paint base and the glitterlites in emerald and princess purple. Should I /can I mix the two different glitterlites colours together or should I apply as separate layers?
Either way... however you can only experiment and mix the Glitterlites colors with each other. We don't recommend mixing the regular paints with the Glitterlites.
How many Coats of white do you put on before you start painting the base color? And what do you put on it afterwards what did you put on the shoe to protect it ?
Hello Britney, You can use white or a matching color as a base. We suggest probably around 2-3 coats of paint first. You do not have to put on anything after you apply the glitterlites. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusdirect.com thank you -Angelus Direct
Good video, thanks for that. I have one question regarding the glitterlites. Do you also use the acrylic finisher afterwards or do you not recommend using a finisher on glitterlites? Thanks
Hey there! We do not recommend using the finisher after, you can use some sort of mod podge but it is not necessary, as long as you prepped correctly you will be fine
We wouldn't suggest mixing standard paint with the Glitterlites however you can mix other Glitterlites together. What works best is to have a black base coat and apply the Glitterlites on top of that. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com
Yes a tooth brush can do the job. Yes we would recommend prepping the leather journal. Seeing that you're wanting a splatter you can simply use a nail polish remover for preparation. It will be a lighter version of our leather deglazer/
Do you mind telling me how to prep it with the nail polish remover? Then after the splatter will I need to treat it with something? Thanks so much for your help.
No, generally finisher is optional. When using glitterlites, try applying a layer or two of our Neutral Paint as top coat. Regardless, finisher is not required and will be just fine without any top coat.
I'm about to work on a custom, the shoe has gray and red, should I paint it all white and then add the colors I want onto it after it dries? Please help me
Just make sure to add 2 Soft to the base coat. We dont recommend any additives in the Glitterlites. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com
To paint those, you will need to sand the sides with a very light grit sand paper, then use some adhesion promoter, then GAC 200 mixed with the paint. Apply a high gloss finisher once dry.
Angelus Brand I'm about to work on a custom, the shoe has gray and red, should I paint it all white and then add the colors I want onto it after it dries? Please help me bro
Hello there.. been wondering to custom my shoes with glitterlites.. the question is “does it give smooth finish like usual leather paint? Or does it give the rough patchy finish of glitter?”. Anyone have any experience with it?
You don't have to mix anything with the Glitterlites. Just apply light even coats to a similar colored base and you are good to go. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com
@@RickRubinesque Yes, mixing other gliterlites is just fine. It may be something to experiment with and test before applying to your project. Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks!
The Glitterlites are pretty solid once applied. As long as the preparation is good, you should not have a problem. There is no fall out from this type of paint if that is what you are referring to.
Yes Apply the glitterlites just like a paint. We do sometimes suggest applying a base coat of a similar color paint. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusdirect.com thank you -Angelus Direct
Hello , Yes you can apply glitterlites on fabric material. Just may have to apply multiple coats. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusdirect.com thank you -Angelus Direct

Hey! Do you guys mind making a video about how to mask shoes with tape perfectly so that you can get clean/crisp lines?
I've been just sitting at my window waiting for my starter angelus paint kit😂

dont we need to add a finisher at last ? what is the finisher for i was wondering

What base color would you recommend for silver/gunmetal glitter?
Light Grey would probably work pretty well.
