Perfect timing! I just taught my daughter how to ride my super soco and was telling her about these differences so she can pick what she wants me to buy.
@@Ridingreviews retro looking scooter. I can get brand new chinese ones here in france for under 1000 euros. Even electricones, but the range is quite limited
Mopeds are good getting about the city in traffic and easier to manhandle. The small wheels and suspension make for hard going on potholed roads though. Bikes are much comfier for longer distances and rougher surfaces but a bit more cumbersome to push around… getting into a garage etc. Just my thoughts as I have both
I get 78 mph out of my Neco Alexone 125 ,2021, never let me down, even in uk climate, will be moving on to harley style soon but , reliability is unreal, sounds like a beast , looks good to , honestly nobody's heard of it , chinese but made in Belgium i hear ? , wouldn't change it.
The easier way to describe motorcycle-height, is that they're designed around 80cm "crotch height". So, if someone has that length from foot to underside of the crotch, they'll have an ok time getting on them and balancing them.
@@Ridingreviews Obviously they vary, some are 80cm, some 81, some 83, dirtbikes usually have 86-89 etc, it's mainly just around that 80-90cm mark for most styles where something like a enduro-style bike being on the higher end and even above that at times
you need to change the hole speedo drive there is no speedo cable it isn't listed on the website at the minute check your connections it is a 3 pin white connector
@@Ridingreviews I hear what you say, but the abbreviation means what it means! The question is...should it have changed...or should they have created a new term relating to twist and go bikes under 50cc? MOPED is still a term that relates to MOtor PEDal...and that cannot really be changed, can it?
@steveaga4683 it the government both mopeds twist and go and geared moped are clased as moped defined by the dvla and the goverment can do whatever they like they shouldn't but the can
I believed that it wasn't legal to derestrict a 50cc. Is that not right? I hold a full driving license for a car (since 1982) So am I allowed to do so? Really enjoying the vids BTW.
Nothing wrong with 50cc scooters. When I was young, lots of girls had them until they passed their car test. No self-respecting, young man would be seen dead on one though.. Times have changed and lads now have no problem, looking girly. But if they are thinking of getting bigger bikes later on, get a geared bike ( and have some pride)
The definition of moped must have changed since I were a lad. A moped used to be a pedal assisted motorised cycle so neither of these are really mopeds. I know I'm being a bit of a pedant

has she decided on witch one yet

thank you for for adding this information
The original Honda 50 with pedals had large wheels (albeit quite thin). Size of wheel doesn't define a moped
@steveaga4683 no, but speed does and power output

they are a good bike they are Chinese assembled in Belgium the shipped to the uk that is why they are a little bit expensive

Moped all the way less stressful

Can you tell me if the Speedometer cable for the YM50-RE is the same as the f50/f60 as Yamasaki site don't seem to sell them

@@Ridingreviews the 3 wire cable has snapped in the clamp on the fork so im i right that i can just reconnect them
@@aido1608 yes you can solder them if you have enouth wire
No that hasn't worked, I'm now looking at trading standards as the bike is only 15 months old and all parts should be available
Will there be a review of the yamimoto CK50 im getting my first 50 soon and curious about that peticular model
yes there is one on the way it has been recorded i just have to edit it
I am around 5’4, am I too short for the Yamasaki ?
I would always suggest sitting on one before you buy but I don't see it being an issue
Okay awesome. Any branches near London do you know or?

for you it wouldn't be but if you did a cbt it would also for a 17 year old with a cbt it would but a 16 year old it wouldn't
50cc bikes should be discontinued because frankly they are dangerous
they are faster in the uk than Europe

I always had that view just not enough power there to get yourself out of trouble.

the definition now is to do with power output and speed
And thankfully no petals 😂
Ones a scooter, ones a little motorbike....theyre not mopeds. Mopeds have pedals hanging off the sides...😂🎉🎉
I agree, they should have kept the pedals......but the definition in UK law now revolves around maximum speed and engine size only
this is true but by the eyes of the law they are both mopeds
