- In September, 20-year-old Yareni Riso-Gonzalez was pulled over by officers from both the Fort Lupton and Platteville, Colorado, police departments for an alleged road rage incident. Rios-Gonzalez stopped her car just beyond the train tracks, but Platteville police parked their vehicle directly on them. An oncoming train flattened the cruiser with Rios-Gonzalez inside. The incident was captured on police bodycam video. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer explains.
If you’re going to restrain someone, you’re 100% responsible for their safety no matter what. How stupid do you have to be to park on the tracks?

When a citizen says "I didn't hear your sirens" and the cop says "yeah right" BUT these cops CANT HEAR A TRAIN HORN? Wow
Bingo ! 🎯
NO LITERALLY
What you said is hilarious I was laughing so hard when I saw this comment, you have a great point
Those train horns aren’t quiet either. Imagine standing there having the horn blaring in your ears and you only notice it until the last moment. It’s pathetic
well considering a train can move up to 60-125 mph, by the time you hear a train horn you won't have enough time to move the vehicle by the time the sound reaches you, you have a good 10-5 seconds, the lady was clearly intoxicated. Still no excuse but still.
They continued to search her car so they could justify what happened to her and lessen culpability. Disgusting.
My thoughts exactly
Real disgusting
Cowards, all of them.
no they continued to "search" so they could put a gun in the truck. if you see the video they failed to do so on their first attempt.
luckily any gun they find afterwards is pointless according to the law (fruit of the tainted tree if memory serves right)
@@Rusonekox9 That’s not how “fruit of the POISONOUS tree works”; if anything the chain of events is broken due to the eyes and cameras being off of the truck. They searched for at least a couple minutes before the train impact, the fact they found a gun after that, is highly suspicious.
you cuffed her hands, locked her in a car where she cant escape, and left it on TRAIN TRACKS. Thats literally attempted MURDER dawg💀💀
EXACT!!
The train track was attempted murder but every thing else is what normally happens if you got arrested
Not saying they're not grossly irresponsible but this was obviously not attempted.
Then again, maybe this was all setup in the hopes that it would?
No it's literally not. If she had died, it'd be more like negligent homicide. Attempted murder charge needs to have an element that shows they had intent to kill her

@@blazeo9529 attempted manslaughter is like a double negative manslaughter is killing someone unknowingly by accident you can't kill someone knowingly by accident even attempted murder makes more sense they knowingly parked on a train track and made no attempt at getting the women to safety there needs to be a reasonable amount of common sense to consider like if you push someone off a cliff assuming they won't die cause your an idiot then they die your still getting charged with murder.
Charge these officers and then fire them. This is beyond disgusting.
They deserve to go to Federal Prison without a doubt.
well they'll receive no charges as there was no intent to harm and your lack of critical thinking is why you feel that way. This was all one terrible accident and there's no signs that a train is coming until it's too late. most trains have lights that signal ahead of time at railroad crossings to warn cars, there was no such light here and the officers were in the complete right to stop this individual and detain them. Yes they made a terrible mistake, but the context provided in the video will thankfully free them of any false punishments.
@@X-Kong context matters which this video provides plenty of in favor of the officers. No lights on the railroad crossing gun in the vehicle, rightfully pulled over and detained just a terrible mistake made that lead to a terrible accident. The intent is what matters. People don't go to jail for accidents unless they were impaired or violating some other traffic law.
@@orphscookie8047 They heard the train coming and they just left her there. I'm almost certain you're not suppose to park your car on the train tracks. They can be changed for negligence which is caught on camera.
@@orphscookie8047 accidentally deaths happen all the time but if someone accident hits someone walking they will go to jai just because they’re cops does not mean they get excuses
The fact that they continued searching her car rather than medically assisting her….
OH YM GOD TRUEEE 😭
It's sickening that they never did bother to actually help her at all; just long enough to determine she's alive while the other cops dig through her things. Disgusting.
Yep. When the ambulance shows up, they're standing 100 feet away up on the road shooting the breeze. She could've quit breathing or went into cardiac arrest and they never would've known it. Just further proof that they're horrible people.
I am sick to my stomach at the fact that they nearly murdered this woman, realized she had a pulse, and kept searching to try and press charges on her. Imagine that? They all should be fired and charged with attempted manslaughter with a deadly weapon
It's disgusting!!!
They're robots
Well it wouldn't be manslaughter with a deadly weapon. They didn't tell the train to come and hit their cruiser with her in it. They would be fired for negligence and reckless endangerment.
Evil !
Hopefully something is done
If I’m the train conductor I’m personally suing those two officers for putting me in the position to kill someone because of their mistakes. I would have an extremely hard time moving on with my life after running my train into a woman in handcuffs who is at the moment nothing but a suspect. I’m not even anti cop but god damnit this is horrible and they should be held accountable for a disgusting neglect of basic duties and common sense. Heart goes out to the fam.

Id also be suing if I was her. They were complaining in the video of how could she not hear their sirens when they didn’t hear a TRAIN
Yes. She should sue _and_ the train conductor

You guys skipped the parts of the video where they refused to tell her what was going on, didn't call to her and ask if she was okay, and laughed about trying to find her info afterwards as she was being placed in the ambulance.. at least you included the part where they try to talk louder over the sound of the train whistle..
Even without the train, she must have been terrified to have been cuffed and stuffed with no explanation.

Cop or not, why on earth would you ever park on train tracks? That poor woman was nothing but a suspect. So unfair, I hope she has a fast recovery and is safe now. Those cops need to be held accountable for this.
To explain a possibility not to defend the cops but one possibility why the car was left on the tracks goes back to why she was stopped in the first place. She was not stopped for a traffic violation but rather on report she had brandished a firearm as I recall in a road rage incident the previous night. With a firearm being in the mix I would imagine the cop was focused primarily on the truck and any possible action there vs where exactly he was stopped.

they just gave them a failed death sentence wtf im so done with the cops
