Why western myth always disappoint the kid ? but in eastern there full of ghost , hell spawn or gods only lol. My childhood always knew santaclaus is not real but ghost are , now i'm disappoint.
@@raven4442 I meant disappointments in a more general sense, not just the unicorn/Santa/Easter bunny stuff. Just that adult life tends to be a bit less exciting than kid life.
@@kevinescobar370 Maybe we need to think of it in the same way that parents get their kid a pet, so they can learn about death before they have to deal with a human dying. The day a kid finds out Santa's not real, it's like we're saying "The adult world is wall-to-wall bullshit, so here's a little taste now so you can get used to it."
Plot twist: Ray _did_ meet a unicorn. It did speak to him, and told him to destroy evil men and protect small girls from adult bs, to smash bullies, and to just generally be a decent, though murderous, bloke.
Unicorns know everybody's name. The episode where Britt asks if Ally wanted to go see a unicorn (after applying the makeup) is another priceless scene.
"Unicorns know everybody's name," is my favorite line from this series. He shoots down everything she mentions and I expected another nah to the unicorns.
Love the Shoesmith creation, excellent work by Scott. I did find that by the end of the third series the character had become a little supernatural, an average trained guy with infinite striking power and an infinite ability to cheat death.
I don't say this slightly either, I've only ever finished one other series from start to finish and that was True Detective about 6 years after it came out. This show rocks. Lead actor is so damn good.
Adorable. I like how her question isn’t “How did a unicorn talk?” Instead, she asks, “How did he know your name?” Love how her eyes lit up during the story. I love her speech impediment also. I had one at that age as do other kids….
Nah. Ended perfectly. Everyone always wants things to continue forever but the problem is that you can't keep up the quality. Every single episode of this is perfect, and that's got a lot to do with the fact that there aren't that many of them
But he could have done it in a less depressing way. And without the made up story about unicorns. Fantastic scene. Love how he gave her the unicorns to still believe in.
This show is one of the best ever.
Same thought incredible show ♥
The subtle art of parenting. Trying to reveal the disappointments of the adult world gradually enough that it doesn't entirely break your child.

It doesn't need to be disappointing if they didn't lie 😂
And then still choosing to lie because you don’t want to disappoint completely just yet

‘I’ve never met the guy’ is such a great answer
Really ? Why ?
@@CVMGAM It is genuine, doesn't offend religion nor approves of it. A very neutral yet effective answer, arguably
@@CVMGAM if someone asks you for your opinion on someone you've never met wouldn't you say the same?

This whole show was phenomenal in every way.
Poor Ray. He wanted to be completely honest with his baby girl but didnt want to completely crush her heart
When he said "blue mountains" I burst out laughing.
Honestly, it's Australia. Would a horse with a horn on its head REALLY be the weirdest thing you'd see?
Ive never seen the show, but I think I'll look for it. I've seen a few clips now and I gotta say, what a cool character! I like this guy lol
It's excellent, start it from the beginning, you won't be disappointed.
I started watching the show after seeing a couple of clips on UA-cam. Was not disappointed one bit! What an amazing gem of a show
"Is Jesus real?"
"Well, yeah, but I never met the guy..." Lmao!!!

Mr Unicorn
That's an adorable Dad moment. Makes me want to --- doing it now!! Have to call in a sickie, got 5 seasons here that need a look in.
i thought this guy didnt answer questions. :P
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Only questions from the police I guess
I wonder how you would react being interrogated by this brutal and vicious little girl. Everybody has a breaking point. He is only human mate.
It's his daughter he has to
She’s adorable
Ray should’ve been like: I don’t answer questions
She’s so cute❤
I think the line 'unicorns know every bodies name' is useful know, dont know how but it will, lol
Haven't seen this, movie , series, yet...it looks very good...

He knows unicorns exist because he saw one in Blue Mountains when he stopped for a wee.
That moment he realized he made a mistake 😂
Had to explain reality, but had to pull back a little bit when he saw the disappointment in her face while she is still a kid.
Unicorns ARE real. They're the national animal of Scotland.
WTF, a land full of Scots?
Doubt it.
Had me going with the unicorns but then got greedy.
Yeah f Santa and the Easter Bunny, but dont mess with the unicorns! 🐭
This is hilarious 😂

This and the scene where he explains sex to her are the perfect ways to teach your child for the real world.
Its a pity the show ended when it did.
