TSMC represents our number one national strategic threat. This video is shortsighted by indicating only AI will suffer. When Taiwan is blockaded and we lose TSMC supply, almost every industry in the west will suffer major upheavals that will make the early days of Covid supply disruption look like child's play. Our only hope was Intel catching up on both technology as well as the ability to serve as a foundry, they have massively failed on both. We are in deep, deep strategic jeopardy.

Ukraine was confident it could challenge Russia without losing its valuable resource-rich and industrialized regions. Said like an !ll!terate noob who heard about ASML last year. Buddy, semiconductor industry is far more complex, it's not just ASML. Fun fact TSMC helped ASML in making those machines. And TSMC as a company is more important than ASML. If ASML stops then other American companies can manufacture those same machines that ASML makes ( funfact: American department of energy actually developed the EUV lithography machines & outsourced it to ASML )
dont worry about those semiconductors, china will make better chips by the end of the decade, by the time china with be forced to reunite with force, it will probably already make better chips, years ago they were like almost a decade behind, now they are only 3 years behind. the security of over 1 billion matter more than the security of 15 million, dont be entitled to
I'm not worried. I've been in china and experienced, for one party ruling Communist socialism country, most ppl are chives, they won't work hard, their governors count on chives to work hard for them😂
For now but it's inevitable China will close the technology gap and Taiwan will return to China no different from what happened in HK. The Taiwanese semicon companies can attempt and even move some facilities elsewhere but even then most of their engineers will likely stick it out in a post-return Taiwan. It's their home and they'll accept their place as citizens of the Mainland. Culture trumps politics/ideology or simply just exercising being practical in life.
If the world WANTS to save TAIWAN, then why not simply RECOGNIZE it as a COUNTRY?
Most won't because of reprisals by china.
Because formally recognizing Taiwan as a country would provoke China to invade the island.
do you want china to stop all trade relations with the world and pretty much destroy the global economy???
Ya man what he said China has literally promised if usa recognizes Taiwan they will invade no matter what
The irony is that without Taiwan, the world can't make the most advanced weapons systems.
If you advanced weapon doesn't need 5nm or 7nm or 3nm tech
