It’s “Wox”. Trust I got the business pronouncing it wrong. So much so I couldn’t finish your video. I live here now and just couldn’t hear you say it wrong after the 4th time.
No she did not just tell me that the city manager there is THE Michael Scott! I got The Office vibes from that alone. Definitely thinking of moving here now. 😂
Woxahachie. That’s how it’s pronounced. No “a”. I moved there in 1982 when we only had one stop light located at the now Walgreens which used to be a Dairy Queen. Enjoy!
@@livinginfortworth New construction is just so high in DFW right now. What's a good area for single blacks with no kids? I travel a lot for work so I'm pretty flexible regarding location. I was considering Little Elm, Waxahachie, Grand Prairie and my realtor was recommending Celina and Fate.
We bought our house in Waxahachie back in 2002. We would not move here today. The taxes are ridiculous. The traffic is horrendous. It is growing way too much and the streets cannot handle it. Unfortunately , being very close to retirement with the interest rates as high as they are, and property prices up so high ,we are not able to move. But I would say that at least once a month my husband says I wish we could move , this traffic is horrible this is not the town we fell in love with. I can’t disagree. It is absolutely not the town we fell in love with when we bought our house 21 years ago.
Good video! I’ve been listening to a few videos like this and I notice UA-cam realtors don’t really cover suburbs south of Dallas much. Would you say suburbs north of Dallas are more desirable than those south of Dallas? Why is that? Thanks!
Hi Kate. Just depends on what you’re looking for in a city and it’s location. Wouldn’t say “more desirable”. We’re working a few vids but have you seen our Cedar Hill video? ua-cam.com/video/IRsgAMIMoms/v-deo.html
it's pronounced Wox-a-hatchy. the population has probably doubled in the last 5 years, no new roads to handle the traffic. the traffic is crazy, the restaurants pretty much all suck, there's no good grocery shopping in the area, nothing for families. if you work in dallas you better prepare for a 1.5 hour drive on average, Fort Worth a little more.
Yes this girl doing all the talking has no clue to pronounce Waxahachie. Doubt if she has ever been there. 12 years ago when the wife both retired and wanted to move back home to Texas, we looked at property in Waxahachie. Could not believe how high the property and taxes was. 12 years later we are really glad we did not buy property there. Traffic is awful now. The city has not been able to keep up with the influx of people moving there.

Thank you for making good videos my family is thinking to move near Dallas Texas ❤️❤️❤️
Is there any plumbing company out there?
How to tell when someone not from there: They pronounce it WAX-a-hachie 🤣
Now that’s true!
It's pronounced like wok (asian frying pan). - - - Woksahachie.
My father lived there as a child.
@@chuckjohnson4750 yup I grew up there too and got the hell out as soon as the entire world began moving there
I've always pronounced it, WOXachachie and I'm from southwest Dallas.

I'm sold on HEB I'm from southeast Texas and HEB is a staple. You've been the only person to point out HEB in an area that I'd potentially move.
Yes and HEB is coming to Mansfield as well pretty soon!

If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. Where are your manners . Goodness!! All the negative comments keep them to yourself.
Thanks for commenting

Thanks for your comment. It is certainly a fast-growing city. Which city would you move to?
Everything moving south, Oklahoma said, not on my watch, WAXAHACHIE next
Frisco with Frisco problems,
I hear things are good in WACO.
Thanks and great video , what’s your opinion between here and Mansfield ? Diversity 👶🏾, real estate , and school districts
Both cities are great. Check out this recent video we did about Mansfield that should help 😀 ua-cam.com/video/LgcRRz5fbbI/v-deo.html
I’m being relocated here for work your video was helpful
Glad it was helpful!
What line of work

Disagree with a lot of your comment but thanks for the pronunciation tip
High humidity. Big bugs. Really friendly people.
We love this city!
You’re saying it wrong. “Walks a hachie”. but I really like your video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching
Hon its not wax it like wach achie boy when did it jump from 25000 to 45000
"Hon" 😂
Woks-a-hachie. Not Wax.
What about Wox-a-hachie?
What do this area looks for retirees
It is a slower paced city compared to some others in the Dallas area. Just depends on what you are looking for.
It's also a fun town to say.
Just rolls off the tongue.
Lol
pronounced walks-a-hachie
😂😂😂

Girl?
All true
You’re very rude, I hope this is not a reflection of the people from waxahachie.
First thing to know about Waxahachie:
It’s pronounced “woks-a-hachie”, not “waks-a-hachie”.
#facts. What else would you share about woks-a-hachie?
First thing you might need to know is how to pronounce it correctly.
“The” first thing…
Why does she say WAXahachie? ?!!11
What does ?!!11 mean?
@@livinginfortworth sorry TYPO.
why not pronounce it correctly?
😂
Wax-ahachie lol
🤷🏽♀️
@@livinginfortworth It is not pronounced like candle wax. Never has been.
Stop moving here
it's certainly growing!
Please don’t come
Growing fast
Lol I said that for years and finally got mad enough to leave. It's not real Hachie anymore. It's a mini Dallas. Yuck
It’s happening. In my town west of Austin, it exploded so fast and now we’re basically an Austin suburb. It’s horrible.
Couldn’t watch the video. You can’t even pronounce the name of the town so why would I take your opinion on anything about town?
Comment of the week!
This woman doesn't even know how to pronounce the name of the town do not trust her she has never been here
😂
I can’t handle listening to her mispronounce Waxahachie. Please learn the pronunciation if you are going to try and sell the area.
lol. Best comment of the week!
