We live in Little Elm which borders Frisco. We will likely sell in 2-3 years because of the Universal Studios build. There just are not enough roads and tollways to get around as it is. The park will make it a nightmare. The house prices are too high and tolls add up very quickly. Property tax costs more than overshadow the no-state tax here. There seems to constantly be more PIDS (look it up) or other costs associated with having to pay for all the new schools and infrastructure. It was a wonderful city and has lots of great things about it, but it is fast becoming too crowded.
Hello! New sub! I would say the biggest reason for people moving to Frisco is the schools. It’s also relatively new and in recent years, they’ve added new shopping options, bars and shopping(Plano/Frisco). Lastly, crime is low!
Moved there in 91 and left in 2017. People are also moving away (like us). Empty nesters, high property taxes, heavy traffic and overpriced homes. It does has proper infrastructure and great variety In restaurants though. Tolls have gotten outrageous.
Actually, crime in Frisco, TX is increasing at the same rate that the population is increasing. Most parents complain about overcrowding of schools and the limited options for high school students. Yes, there are new restaurants every year. Cost of living in Frisco is high. Currently, a 2 bedroom is over $2k. I'm sure this is ok if you're used to high rent, however anyone that has lived in TX over 5 years understand that the prices have more than doubled. Frisco is not that big at all. Imagine stuffing spaghetti in a chicken. That is what the goal is. Over stuff a small area and overprice it as much as possible.
@Living in Fort Worth with Keela & Torrey I wouldn't recommend any city if you're not willing to fight for what you believe. Whatever people are running from to get to Texas will follow them. At some point, you have to accept your shadow and push for what you want.
@@ns6095 facts. Im running from the airport in Missouri because it doesnt have that many non-stop flights. Irving seems like a good idea since it has access two airports with many non-stop options
Frisco is great! However, High Schools are crowded. There is no mention of some of the great Private schools in the area and the real need for more private schools choices to alleviate the crowding and kids with special needs.
We are from Brasil 🇧🇷 Estamos te acompanhando. Estudamos morar em Frisco... mas, há outra cidade em subúrbios, digo mais rural, próxima com residências de alto padrão e luxo ? Gratos. Att. Vankesh & Christina
Frisco should remove yellow flashing traffic light which is very very confusing to Frisco visitors. So many tourists will get confused by this light and create accidents! Frisco is a tourist town and other states do not have this light. It is a very confusing light and it hurts tourist town strongly!
It's expensive to live here because of all the drifters moving here. I meet so many people who don't have family moving here and then move back because its too expensive to live here. You can't get an apartment unless you make 3x the rent, property taxes are 11k. Mortgage rate is like 4k a month. If you listen to this person and you don't make enough, you will lose thousands of dollars quickly. 💯
@@livinginfortworth I am a McKinney native, I am sure you're NOT a Collin County native. You are part of the problem causing the middle class to disappear. There is a reason there isn't any people who were born and raised in Frisco and surrounding cities. They all moved out because it got so expensive to live in Frisco. You should do a better analysis and don't lie to people that Frisco is a great place to live for middle class Americans. Because it's not anymore, it's for the wealthy and out of state drifters. 💯
