There is greenery. Everywhere. All types of homes. Small, older, new, mansions, castle type mansions. It’s near Joe Pool Lake. It’s not far from Dallas. It has all the stores, the businesses etc. They are easy to get to. All of the lower costing stores are here: DDs, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, lower costing supermarkets, etc. Very low crime. Great courteous, friendly, police force. The TV broadcast towers of the metroplex are here (not power towers, tv towers). This means LOTS for free tv stations! All in HD! Save $ on tv. Use your Wi-Fi and the free tv over a low cost had antennae (can be next to the TV), and you’ll get thousands of channels and movies! Free! Texas is hot three months of the year. In cedar hill you often have a breeze because of it’s high elevation. And due to the trees you have shade. AND…. The traffic is good! You can get around! Cool! Pretty much whatever you need is here. Uber drivers are everywhere!
Cedar Hill has tall hills meaning television transmitter antennas. If you want over the air TV, you don't need a TV antenna, your TV will get all of the channels.
That's SUCH an older residents response sir!!! But I LOVE it because both of my parents have lived in Cedar Hill for 30 years! And I could see one of them making your comment! Lol❤ 🤟 Hook'em Longhorns!!
It's kinda hard in cedar hill cause I barely even get internet the say it's because traffic? Ok that's the bad stuff the good stuff is it barely ice and it's a happy place u meet nice people
That’s really depending on what you’re looking for in a community, neighborhood etc. shoot us an email here mcgrawtx.com/email so we can learn more about what you’re looking for 🙂
cedar hill is the only area ive found that has homes with basements and they are reasonably priced. are there any other areas that have homes with basements here?
You mentioned that Cedar Hill is a prime location when it comes to sports entertainment a short drive away, but you called that a down side of Fort Worth. From south FW, I’m about 30 mins from ATT, Rangers Ballpark, etc. But the thing is for us is we don’t deal with game day traffic
What is there to actually do though? I’m considering moving to Los Angeles, Upland, or Marina Del Rey California in the future but in the meantime I was thinking abt Cedar Hill. Does it have nightlife?
TexasNurse, I really feel like building ANYWHERE in Texas but the dfw in particular is really high right now. And has been since mortgage migration began a few years ago. Definitely isn't helping my parents considering they had our house buil in 1993. 3,000 Sq foot house, 2.5, 2 car garage, 3 car driveway two-story brick home. Now the "powers that be" have decided even though they were going to live in the rest of their days the home value now is 470k. To which you'd know, that they are now paying property taxing in that. $350k more in tax bill than the house they bought. The only savings grace for my parents is they paid off our family home in 20 years vs the 30 years. And they set themselves up well so they're comfortable. But I hate to imagine an old couple that lived frugally just to buy a house they raise kids and grand kids, and now, when that property tax bill comes or grocery time. That couple. That never harmed anyone couple might end up being to poor to keep a house her and her husband raised the kids in. I know it's long-winded but they are the thing's I think about. Because you can't even approach it, "Babe, our house is worth 3 times more than we paid (Letts say 100grand), LET'S SELL IT!!🎉" Because then you're taking your search into an economy/housing where every single thing that crosses their eyes is smaller now, their mortgage will likely be accelerated do to their advanced. Who is alo capable of recovering from that at 70٪ In a home market this? Sorry for being so long-winded with this. It just feel like it could a group we should be
@@matildekams2150this is a troll. There is ZERO corruption in Cedar Hill city hall or the council and fire department. I promise you if he had proof he’d show it. But he doesn’t. Cedar Hill is a wonderful city and has amazing people. I’ve lived there almost a decade and have had direct interaction with all of the local businesses and people. As well as the civic organizations. Again, it’s a wonderful community!

Don’t forget Cedar Hill Collegiate is a top ranked high school that draws the best and brightest from the area and its rating is an A.
great point! Thanks for sharing
Thank you for this. I needed to know about high school. Because ratings on zillow is scary.

That’s really depending on what you’re looking for in a community, neighborhood etc.

@livinginfortworth Diversity Modern homes, not to far from downtown Dallas. What do you recommend in the south suburbs?
Neither
Cedar Hill is a better choice, better green space, better shopping, better restaurants and more.
cedar hill is the only area ive found that has homes with basements and they are reasonably priced. are there any other areas that have homes with basements here?
tough to find because of our shifting soil

Have a question what trucking company is close to cedar hills
several
What are the 3 high schools
.
Cedar Hill school district stopped picking up grade school kids that live 1.999 miles from school. But taxes still high.
Thanks for sharing
Any comments Cedar Hill? This is negatively affecting the children and parents of Cedar Hill.

Cedar Hill doesn't have nightlife but it's just a short drive to Dallas so that's not an issue
Be prepared to pay extra for foundation on a home or structure like extra 100k plus ( that was 2003 price it may be higher) not including the home.
Thx for commenting

It depends on where you build in Cedar Hill. There are areas where the ground is solid rock.
Facts
Cedar Hill is nice, but they have tarantulas galore in the summer. I had to move 😂
And, the commute to Fort Worth is pretty bad.
What city do you like best?
I live in Frisco, but considering Ft. Worth to be closer to work. I'm not sure I have a favorite city. I've only been here a little over a year.
Wait we have tarantulas here?
Can you show details in Desoto TX
Working on it 🙂👍🏽
What about the crime? Are there any ghetto hoods etc. I would love that it's safe, fun and wealthy
.
@@livinginfortworthlmaooooo that response
Yes there are, just like EVERY othee city
You failed to cover the corruption in city hall, city council, fire department. I uncovered a lot of it as a former resident.
where would you recommend someone move to?
I was considering cedar hill, but after seeing your comment, I would like to know if there is another city you would recommend. Thank u

And crime rate is growing
