Well, that also counts in the full game. Gear wise, ou would never group people who are progressing through the story together with those who have already beaten the game and are grinding post-content. But yeah, i get what you mean: speedrunning without the gear to stunlock the monster helps displaying how intricately you've learned it's moveset.

Using endgame weapons and armor with high amounts of armor skills just lessens the experience for the new guy when you can kill the monster in 5 or so minutes. Look what happened with Iceborne when Defender stuff let people skip LR and HR

I have had friends in end game gear get ping ponged (but never feint) by monsters in low and high rank because they were either playing around or not paying attention. I think people get way too concerned about skill and kill the fun for the themselves. Granted, being skilled is also fun, but you don't have to be a professional 24/7 to be good or have fun in Monster Hunter.

My point is that if you're helping someone progress, you need to let them struggle for them to learn. That's what MH was always about, the entire appeal is overcoming the challenge in front of you to be prepared for the next one. But using endgame HR and MR weapons with a load of armor skills cheapens the victory and accomplishment for the person you're helping. Not really about being good, more of just not making things so easy that succeeding feels like nothing anymore But in the end, play however you want

Rey Dau right there beside Lala Barina as the favourite monster right now. The sound effects, design, its connection to the Inclemency, it really is built up as a fulgurite lightning cannon menace. Excellent monster and great gameplay.
LS has never felt so good. As i was playing around with it i was just like “oh snap” and “ooh that’s nice.” It’s amazing how a lot of the new stuff really just comes to you without any explanation if you’re familiar with it from previous titles.

For those playing the beta and using long sword, you can hold the spirit slash button to go into a charging up stance that more or less lets you skip to the next power level if it lands
It looks like they did a better job adding connecting animations for Wilds. That's really neat to see in action, as it looks a tad slower.. but also a lot *smoother* and cleaner. Kind of hyped. Also totally sent to my friend learning LS asking when he's gonna be that good.
it looks anime/flashy like rise combat, but also slower like world. Which is a beautiful combination, and then its also wayy smoother. GS looks smooth as HELL.

Thanks for making this guide! LS feels a lot like world with the perfect amount of refinement and new abilities they added to the weapon. Really like that you can cancel a helm breaker mid air too and save a spirit gauge.
This has to be my brand new most favorite monster sound/call design yet! It suits it so fantastically yet at the same time sounds both alien and recognizable all at once.

Group speedruns are gonna be chaotic to get those full team sync moves for LS especially since the focus strikes build spirit levels for each wound it hits...the lucky person to get the focus strike 1st gets all the gauge while everyone else is back to the old foresight 'evade and counter'
I've seen people been just using focus mode to use the focus strikes but the true beauty is to more accurate aim your other attacks, i love focus mode.
What was that at 5:25? Its about to fly away but someone shoots something and it immediately aggros back again. The flash came after whatever that was. Any ideas? I do recall some new slinger ammo that "lures enemies to you" but that doesn't sound like what I saw.
It sounds kinda bad to say it like that, but it just feels it’s not the game I fell in love with, it looks feels and play differently, but it just looks so great, the gameplay, the animation, the atmosphere it just looks great, so I’m happy to fall in love again with this series
I hope they add a little more visual feedback to hits like the blood spurts we got in the older games without making it devolve into the overwhelming visual overload firework we had in Rise
Man, seeing the SPEEDRUNNERS take just about 6 minutes to CAPTURE Rey Dau, makes me feel very proud of the fact that i solo killed him with LBG in 24 minutes with one faint. Rey Dau has amazing sound design and his attacks are fairly easy to dodge as well, i thought he'd be a complete nightmare to fight like Magna was in Rise's demo.
The game isn't even out and the monsters are already in need of post-traumatic psychological care. "Low-grade gear made to fight low-threat monsters? Who cares, let's hunt the local apex predator in 6 minutes!"
I'm happy to join the team with Wilds. It feels fantastic, and I can't wait to play the full game and create a lot of bonkers content👀

I love the fact that it kinda get rid of the thing that when you hit a monster, it no longer have that short freeze after dealing heavy damage

Longsword is really up there this time around. Slaying Rey Dau sub 10 consistently feels so good.
at one point longswords were almost in unison it reminded me of kenshin's ghost abilities from MK1

The start, rolling up on the monster in a mostly flat marshy(?) area gave me Dreadqueen flashbacks.
