A Deviljho once chased me around the Coral Highlands for a good five minutes with my target Odogaron in its mouth trying to hit me with it.
Lmao same for me with an Odogaron in Rotten Vale. Ended up capturing the Jho and killing the Odo
a deviljho showed up and crashed my game ten seconds before the quest ended

That last part is super relatable. Near the end of the base game I went on an investigation of a bazelgeuse and the deviljho beat its ass so bad all i had to do was use a shock trap and one tranq
That's interesting considering they do around the same amount of damage to each other with their turf war.
@@moolate127 in the turf war yes, but jho beats pretty much every monster in ai vs ai, so MegaElbofo probably had to do very minimal work cause Jho was killing to shit out of Bazel
they are supposed to be equal, but bazel is easily get tripped by jho attacks due to how much faster jho moves are. so while bazel potentially could outdamage jho due to sheer of bombs he dropped during the battle, but the fact that he easily get tripped preventing him to do any good damage. Savage jho vs sheeting bazel would be much more equal since savage jho is very easy to get tired.
you can do that in world but, not quite to that degree. I tried fighting brachydios for the first ever time, with greatsword which I sucked at back then, and had a lot of trouble hitting him. but I got him to fight azure rathalos until he was exhausted and couldn't do much but limp and occasionally rage for a minute.
Blue rath didn't do all the work for me, but he certainly helped.

My first experience with a Deviljho made me fear it for a long time. I was still doing the mhw campaign (my first mh game) and my friend had suggested I go for the sin and crime duel blades, so we started farming Odogaron. We were in the middle of killing one when I picked up some Deviljho tracks, thought nothing of it until one came walking down towards us. It was my first time seeing one and I was terrified and my friend was too so we ran away until the Deviljho walked off; however, instead of walking on the Deviljho looked at the Odogaron we were fighting and picked it up in its mouth. My friend and I were far enough away that it didn’t agro on to us so it just stood there, staring at us as the Odogaron was thrashing helpless in its mouth. We waited 10 minutes of that fight just watching it as it kept staring at us before it dropped the Odogaron and walked off.

That like the exact opposite of what happened to me. Found the tracks, thing appeared, and i saw it and went "ima cap you" and immediately attacked. Damn thing ran off when it was at low health so i didnt get the cap.

Now I've become stronger and I don't fear anymore Jho, ma damn he was so scary.

First time I saw Deviljho in MHW is when I'm quest hunting a Bazelgeuse, turf war happened then I just shot Dung pod at it then it left. After I slayed Bazelgeuse and carved it out he reappeared lol. Its like we're sharing a horrific experience over some scary monster in this thread and I'm just here shooting dung pods at it.

Old jho was like running into a room and finding a T-rex. New Jho was like running around a corner and finding Godzilla.
I would say that new jho is more of barely poking your head out from behind said corner and godzilla has charged up his atomic breath right next to you

I like how deviljho has taken the crocodile approach to eating and just slamming the life out of whatever its mouth grabs on to as opposed to just chewing
Instead of death roll, Jho favors the Death slam
Its lower jaw is literally a giant mace for smashing stuff

Edit: Savage Jho: He's either your worst enemy or valuable ally agaisnt other monsters.
Example: Rajang: These two get into a turf war more than once. If you get Savage Jho to follow you while hunting Rajang, Jho can cause some damage to Rajang by just hitting him. Make sure you're out of the way when that happens.
I need to complete it but that thing scares the shit out off me I’m only hr 12/13 with shit gear and when I call for sos no one shows up lol
What are your gears? And the rarity? Im wearing a maxed out High Rank Rathalos armor(Rarity 6) using a Defender Great Sword(Rarity 6). Im just 48 hours in MHW, I'm an old player who played MH Games on the PSP and IOS.

Honestly best part of worlds for me was how it felt more alive. Loved how monsters attacked each other. And honestly, rise is also looking freaking awesome!

Old Jho: Total pushover who seasoned hunters could probably kill in a few minutes.
New Jho: Total savage who will murder you no matter what HR you're at.
regular jho is but Savage and Hyper Deviljho are pains to deal with

@@Aescavalis well the thing is, Hyper jho never gets hungry or tired. So we have a deviljho that can one shot you running at full speed all of the time
He will if he takes you by surprise and you have moderately bad luck for sure! but a very experienced hunter has a good chance of escaping or turning the tables. he's tougher and I like that, but he's not impossible, which I also like.
Sounds like the only thing to worry about with old jho is just the dragon breath

glad im not the only one to have had my ass kicked because of Jho Random storming in on my hunt... (sucked donkey balls when i ended up facing Jho, Rathalos, and Rathian at once...yes...i died...but I DIED IN VALOR)

New Jho is actually Old Jho, but 100% pissed 100% of the time since he came to the new world to get becky off his mind. Taking all his aggression out on us poor hunters.
Old: Threatening due to invasions in other hunts being more dangerous in older load-zone games. Moderate on single-hunt missions.
New: Pain. Can be extremely helpful in turf wars tho.

If I see another monster coming in the direction of the one Im hunting (like Odogaron in that open are of coral highlands) I hide and wait for that free damage
If you go in during a Bazel/Jho turf war you are either insane or too lazy to open a map back to camp because thats all thats gonna happen
I got into a turf war between a Jho, Dodogama, and Azure Rathalos. I died 10 times, Dodo was used as a weapon twice and ran off, and Rathalos barely managed to hold its own thanks to me tag teaming Jho before it too hold ass. Then is was just me, my shield, and Jho. Until dodo came back and shot me in the back.
And that's how my first Deviljho fight went

I think Jho knows he can grow his tail back because he is a reptile. I think he likes chewing his tail when he was a baby. He will eventually grow his tail, he is just eating because he is hungry.
Some reptiles store fat in their tails, so it makes some sense that he tries eating his own tail when it gets cut off

I prefer lv140 rajang to be honest. That thing was the shit.
If you want a nightmare, hop into G-Rank in MH4U and take on the lvl 140 Rajang duo. Or make a custom quest involving an apex rajang and an apex deviljho in the same arena. *There are tougher things in other MH games. Sadly, some are region-locked in Japan, I believe.* I was actually very pleased to have an actual challenge in this game (Tempered Kirin aside...).

I don't know why people keep saying Lvl 140 Rajang, he wasnt THAT HARD. The REAL PAINFUL one was Shagaru Magala 140 or Teostra.

One time I was fighting tobi kadachi and jho swooped in and stole him, he went to a cave I tried following but he was too fast, a minute or so later my quest completed and a I struggled to look for the corpse for carving in time. In conclusion Jho is a douche that should be killed.

Scary to think somewhere in the monster hunter universe a 140 king sized apex hyper tempered savage deviljo is out there.
Worse to think that some hunter is going speed run it in under 2 minutes while you run out of time.
The truth... The truth is so overdosed that I feel like dying
I hunted so many Apex Deviljhos back when I had MH4U (had to swap it for MHG, not enough memory, though I managed to keep the save file). Once, in a duo Apex Jho lv 140 quest (I farmed Apex jho for zenith wyvern gems), I soloed one of them before my 3 teammates killed theirs. If there is a 140 king sized apex hyper tempered savage deviljho out there well, as Tai Lung said, "finally, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary."

@@StarkSpider24 Actually, when I fought Glavenus for the first time during the village quest where you "stumble across him by accident," when he had triple the amount of hp, I managed to capture him after around 15 minutes to half-an-hour of both of us battering the crap out of each other, along with Gammoth and Astalos (I was using an Azure Bayonet, I can't remember exactly what level though, I think lv 2 or 3, it was a long time ago). Boy was it fun, and down to the wire; I had only one mega potion left, after using all of my potions and 9 mega potions.

the bazel started flying as it was running away wich was pretty weird, but then jho did just like this video and jumped like 100m to start killing the bazel

I remember responding to an SOS and these 3 players were doing the jho hunt.
Great jagras came out and jho used it to cart all 3 of the hunters. Hearing them on my headset was super funny.
As far as the story goes I love them both but the new Jho is much better for older kids while the old Jho feels a bit more kid friendly. Keep making awesome videos!

My first ever encounter of a Deviljho was on the HR 4 Ruining the Ruins quest in MHGen. Long story short, me and my brother got fucked by him hard.

I remember my first Jho. I was HR4 and some friends dragged me into a high HR fight. It was the Lagombi quest and I was falling behind when suddenly, fuckin JHO COMES OUTTA NOWHERE AND TRIES TO KILL ME. Long story short, I survived (after running for my life), killed Lagombi, and thanks to my GREATSWORD and Art (Aerial) I ended up being able to distract Jho while my friends finished off the Lagombi. Idk how my weak self did it but hey it happened and I dunno how
I was fighting the Emerald Conglala from MH4U and I saw it before I knew what it was. I somehow dodged enough attacks and killed the congala. The next day, I found out what it was.

coming back to this video i love the fact that monster hunter rise had monster weapon armor layers and i believe nargacuga actually was a longsword armor layer to use but i think it was DLC.
