I found the default clock input mode on the Mother 32 an annoyance because it doesn't allow subdivisions, which I noticed the behavior when you were moving the tempo knob. If you switch to analog clock you will gain full control over the clock subdivisions. If was hard to figure that one out because there are different versions of the manual depending where you look, but you go into setup mode, page 3, value 3 (for reference, page 55 and 59 in the manual). Try it out.

Really appreciate that info! I am still learning the ins and outs and will look this up in the manual. Cheers!

@@Tiger.Arcade Same. I know the basics but still picked up a few good ideas from your video. I've been using the Sound Studio 3 for about 4 months and the Grandmother for a year. The M32 sequencer has taken the longest to get my head around. I might end up owning a Matriarch because I enjoy all of them so much.

@@CeeJay5s That's what led me to the Matriarch!

What if you hold down both octave buttons and turn the tempo knob?

Please consider doing more videos on the sound studio. It’s super helpful for newbies :)

Nice tips and tricks! Besides all the harmonic goodies I love to use the Sound Studio 3 as one killer drum machine. DFAM does Bass and Snare, Mother 32 does the Hi Hat and Subharmonicon goes wild with some polyrythm percussion. To keep things interesting you can switch the roles of each.

That’s incredible! I knew people like to do different things and I’ve enjoyed using the mother 32 as additional percussion. I’d be curious to experiment with the subharmonicon as additional percussion.

Often times I read on how expensive this is. Not for peanuts but this is serious fun.

its very interesting listening to the M32 i have the crave which is the same---- ish but im not sure they do sound identical, i still really wish the that the edge would get finished, as i think that would fill some holes i have, id love a dfam but its outa my ££ for now, an behringers price bracket works for me, a lil late coming to this vid sorry hectic week last and wanted to be in the right mood, im defo picking up patching but its a total minefield when linking multiple devices... so so many variables lol

Man. I want this trio so much. Pretty nice to be able to see you work with each instrument separately. Thanks!

The Subharmonicon is tough to learn. If you get it and you actually get it, it’s pretty weird and wonderful. I have one, it’s like wind chimes, a drone, a melody or just weird and good at it.
2 DFAM’s and a M32 or better yet a second will give you a lot of creative space in rhythm, lead and bass.

i always wonder about latency. when plugging in directly to the soundcard, are you direct monitoring, or monitoring through the DAW?
anything to note/pay attention to, when doing it this way?

I monitor through my daw but I’ve never noticed latency and if I do I just restart my computer and problem solved. I upgraded the ram in my computer so I have not had any issues since.

DFAM seems like the weakest link to me, sound/ tone-wise …
