    Hey Paul,
Beautiful flight once again! Ever fly using a cocoon harness? That’s what I use in Alaska. No buckles to worry about. Just adjustable leg loops. No worries about buckles becoming unbuckled. Very comfortable in flight with no pressure points either. Just requires a bit more technique to get into when launching. If you ever come up to Alaska during our summers, you’re welcome to join us at our site, Eagle Summit. In summer we get 24 hours of daylight and it’s not uncommon for us to launch late in the evenings and fly into the early morning hours. It’s a pretty sweet site!
    Later,
    Ben in Alaska

I forgot to buckle up once with high energy harness. I forget to hook in once at Mission. I once forgot to put helmet on… eventually I got into a habit besides standard “hooked in, balance, clear” launch sequence, I also do a pre launch sequence check verbally: “leg loops, side buckle, helmet clipped in, hooked in” which I kind of learned from a hangglider buddy Andy.
Agree with you, u2-145 is a fantastic glider. I also fly u2-145.

I have a harness like yours. I have forgotten the side buckles twice (!). Inexcusable...but anyway, my fix on this is to tie a thin length rope (about 10cm) linking the pull-tab of the zipper to the buckle. I do that when I pack up. When I next fly this means I can't do up the zipper unless I untie the rope from the buckle, which only takes a second,... and that *forces* me to remember to buckle up. Since doing this I never forget the side buckles, and that's for years now. PS. Great vid of Stanny, I miss the place!

Yep, done that too Paul. Got talking to someone during preflight and found myself at 6500ft with both buckles undone and I'm just hanging in the Motorharness by the zip after being at full throttle for 20 minutes. Got them done up ok after doing some weird turns trying to suck my body into the harness. Frights are a great lesson,,,,
