My favourite thing about the Mimeophon, and you didn't quite discover it! With nothing patched into the inputs, turn feedback up all the way, set it to zone 1 (or 2), and wait a few seconds. You don't need to finger patch - it will give you a fun surprise. Use colour/halo/rate/slew to control timbre and pitch, and the microrate input for CV tracked pitch, and it becomes the most spine tingling synth voice all by itself!
Ha, I am aware of it and I use it all the time in this video. It's just that the 'hum' adds something to the internal noise so you get different timbres.
@@CinematicLaboratory Would be fun to build a polyphonic voice with say, five of them... Also, waveshaping (including with Maths) does even more amazing things to the Mimeophon voice ;-)
A great idea to reduce the complex theme „Modular“ to one unit. I would appreciate a continuation. Ideas, Sounds and Video so wonderful as always - I‘ d like to take a vleeskroket now …
Very cool! I love a good one module challenge! I've only experienced it with Lubadh and Verbos Multi Delay Processor, but both have very intriguing feedback as they start to resonate. I think finding these spaces of sonic exploration lead to some very exciting results!
Morning Robert, another Focused insight to the complexities of one Module, an eternity in itself without priding it with a Plethora of other Module Intricacies Was confused by the Alex( MYLAR) nod but I’m in regular contact with Alex as he has helped me so much over the years, plus both huge SURGEON fans Yet again another Fab Jamuary day to ponder on 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🆒🎶🎶🕸🔱👽🌟🌟🌟

i fantasize about getting rid of my oscillators in favor of 3 or 4 mimeophons. no input feedback in zone 0 or zone 1 has become my favorite sound source.
Sure glad the Aliens let you go. It would have been a shame to fall short of completing the entire months worth of videos, just because of a bit of probing! :)
Finger patching??!!…unreal. This is a new concept to me. It’s take someone like yourself with the knowledge and creativity (the dynamic duo), to maximize this. The applications of the phone is awesome. One question: is that you and your friends staring into the camera? Must be. Mortal humans can’t come up with this stuff😉

I don’t have many modules but do have this one. I like this approach for today.
interesting, cheers for that, i will have a go later,
I also enjoy mylarmelodies’ deep dives into specific things, his recent DFAM video was fun.

Nice. While I haven't tried it with my Mimeophon, the first Beads patch I did was a finger patch. Contact mics are also fun with these modules.

the aliens were creepy AF but nice content man!! i like it

I recently picked up a second... I do not regret it!

When three is just too many :) 2:00 minute mark is hilarious.
What would U say is the best make noise module to get after getting the easel , and the strega , ?
I would add a Mimeophon first, and a Morphagene later :)
Note to self: must reduce hours on Cinematic Laboratory videos, starting to cost to much money.
Yes, me too!
Congrats on coming out of lockdowns (not the least of which because they are completely counterproductive). Cheers!
Funky :)
LMAO after 0:02 seconds 🤣🤣🤣
