I have never seen Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. 1987 in Helsinki Tom Petty find a place in a Bob Dylan concert. It was maybe a practise for the upcoming Traveling Wilburys. It was fine.

One of the greatest shows I ever attended. The Dead opened and they were great. Then Tom and the boys came out and did this short set before Bob joined them for a couple of hours. What a great day !!

Must have been wonderful there. TP in such good form. Love that smile! Great version of Spike too! Incredible how they could rock up at such short notice and do such a great job. They were/are the music. Must have the greatest repertoire of any band in history. Especially since they loved doing covers and did them so well it meant that the sky was the limit. Thank you for posting this. I wonder if there is a way to watch it undistorted? Maybe on a big screen? Xx
