    ¹My sister is always clogging her vacuums.Now she has a Dyson they didn't even make back when I owned a vacuum cleaner sales and repair shop. I didn't have much patience yesterday to deal with it so your video really was useful to me.Apparently she had no knowledge of the existence of the filter inside the center of the dirt receptacle.She had assured me she checked the filter but she meant the one under the ball. The rubber and cloth one has never been cleaned in over 4 years. BTW, she has 6 cats, it was soon clogged up. Thank you sir!

      That's not uncommon actually. Her performance has been low for a long time.

    Thank you for the breakdown. My wife was about to throw out our Dyson, and I followed your video and found that there was a rubber kids toy blocking the flow of air. So thank you again.

    Beautiful. I never would have found the tiny straw brush blocking the hose/floor attachment switcher without you. Saved me buying a whole new vacuum…and it’s probably good to wash the filter, too, I guess.

    Thank you! I had sucked up a latex glove thru the wand, but couldn't remove it until I watched this video. Saved us many headaches!

    Your video showed me how to remove the clip, so the cleaner head could be freed. I then found the pipe was totally blocked and after removing all that fluff, no surprise our Dyson worked again ! Thank you.

    Thank you for posting, I was so frustrated. Accidentally sucked up half of a dry kleenex & lost suction completely! It was in the choke point in the wand. Now it’s working perfectly. So grateful.
    My tip is a few drops of essential oil in the washable filter makes the room smell great. I use pine or cedar or mint. Makes the house smell like I just cleaned.

    The bottom part of the wand. That’s where my problem was.
    Thank you very much for your very thorough tutorial!!!

    Thanks for this video. There was a piece of plastic tubing preventing the hose/floor valve from working. As they say, "couldn't have done it without you". Blessings.

    Thanks! Good tip on the changeover valve. Had a plastic spork stuck there that wasn’t allowing the suction to change over from the attachments to the floor head.

    Great video, thanks for making it. I am having problems getting my hepa filter to slide to the unlock position. I don't want to apply too much force and damage the filter. Any ideas?

    • @ClassicVacuum
      @ClassicVacuum  2 роки тому

      I've never had one get stuck, If removing the filter causes it to break it was mostly likely needing replace any way. Try it when the machine is cold and also warm after being run for a time.

    We have a sock lodged in the plastic wand. You looked at it 1st, mentioned that it was the tightest point. Does the top (colored piece) come a part from the wand? It looks about 1.5" into that piece, but isn't budging. Is it glued?

    • @ClassicVacuum
      @ClassicVacuum  3 роки тому

      No it is not supposed to come apart. It's most likely joined with ABS cement. I recommend getting a hook type tool, snag it and pull it out.

    How do you clean behind that filter that you cannot remove?

    • @ClassicVacuum
      @ClassicVacuum  3 роки тому

      It may require you to disassemble the vacuum. Typically nonremovable filters last the life of the machine or are not supposed to get very dirty. In either case if a nonreloadable filter is blocking section you should take it to your local vacuum shop for service.

    • @ClassicVacuum

      Check the change over valve (little hoses that switch back and forth between floor and tools). Also make sure the clear clean out door is not missing. If all else fails take it to your local vacuum repair shop!

    My hose is not clogged we took it off and nothing, have suction in floor not wand

    • @ClassicVacuum
      @ClassicVacuum  3 роки тому

      Did you check inside the wand? Many times something gets stock in the wand towards the tip (that's the tightest point). If not it is most likely something inside the ball with the small hose that changes the suction over from the floor to the wand.
