Noel King the man for me. Box office post match interviews
I'll enjoy tonight. Tanks v. much.
Let's be honest, nobody that has coaching merit would take this job. International management is dreadful anyway, the reason so many coaches prefer club management
One man... Roddy Collins
I will go with that Roddy for manager and get rid of Kerr asap
Kerr dont look to well hope he is ok
How they can look past Dunphy, Giles & Brady is beyond me 😊
The FAI are clueless, we don’t have money for a big name manager, and will employ someone who is cheap. That’s the reality.
The funny thing is nobody wants the shit job not even a small time manager
they are the laughing stock of Europe
Get Gus Poyet.Greece haven’t offered him a renewed contract. His contract expires at the end of March.
Even he was smart enough to refuse the job
everyone knows it's a shit show 6 months since they sacked a great man
And they are scrapping the bottom of the barrel
What an embarrassment
@@LouLou-tl1gvapparently he hasnt rejected it, the fai were sticking him with the current coaching staff and he wanted to bring his own in, but supposedly still wants the job.
Irish team need Irish manager one day irish will have strong like stone in the football team its matter of times i strongly believe that
This video is so entertaining. I can't wait to see what's next!
Really you are a glutton for punishment
Seems like they can’t get anyone?
How is Walters a pundit, embarrassing.
Tony Pulis was in Dublin yesterday.
Thats amazing news
He's applied for a job in Centra in Kimmage
😂@@ComedyBee
😂😂😂
Andre Villas Boas is the man for job
Would you take that job if you were him, not a hope. I'd love him myself but I could never see him come to here. Be such a tuff job
How the mighty would have fallen if this were the case:
Embarrassing , these english guys were brought in to make the football association of ireland more professional.... Doesn't look like it to me.
Should go all out to get Mark Robins
All out 😂
Ehh the FAI are broke, corrupt and basically useless. Going "all out" isn't applicable in this situation.
The fans are Ireland's best asset.
Mourinho.
Fai can’t afford to pay €2 million euro severance pay.
we could not afford his coat never mind the man, also he would be mad to take this job
Steve Staunton
What a 5hitshow
Kerr goes on a bit. Walters was struggling to get a word in and when he did he jumped right in. Why hasn't Jonathan Hill been sacked for the last debacle over payments? Neil Lennon should be the manager. Carsley is managing far, far better players than he'd have with Ireland. Lenny has got the best out of limited players against top teams. Chris Coleman ffs gouger. Got Sunderland relegated. Comments on our players when that wrongun broke Seamus leg. No chance.
Poor 🇮🇪. I am really confused why the Irish Republic is so challenged getting off the ground. 60th in FIFA ranking. Compare with similar sized nations. Croatia, Belgium, … and Ireland is an advanced economic nation. It’s bemusing.
Partly because Gaelic Games are our national sports and take up so much resources ie players, fans, stadia, finances that otherwise would have gone towards football.
@@dublinsfaircity thank you for taking the time to respond. So why were the Republic competitive in times past?
@@brooklyniron1999 Because there used to be no players from other countries in the English Premier league. Irish players used to play for Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool etc. but now opportunities are very limited as these teams are scouring the world for talent. Now only about 30% of the EPL are even England qualified and we used to have a few Irish qualified players born in England due to all of the emigration to Ireland from England. They seem less likely to play for us as time goes on given that few people emigrate to England anymore now that Ireland is prosperous. Jack Grealish and Declan Rice being two recent examples who played underage but backed out before being locked into the senior team.
@@jmo8934 thanks for taking the time to write this. Makes sense. Thank you.
So in short:
- dilution of effective player pool due to other sports (GAA)
- overall fewer opportunities for Irish “blood” in competitive leagues (EPL) due to that league becoming more open to international talent.
- Less 🇮🇪 migration to 🇬🇧 further reducing exposure to competitive football
I am curious, as a prosperous country - why hasn’t Ireland made more of their immigration - to secure talent in the same way as 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🏴 🇨🇭 have? Is this something to be optimistic about in the future (when one considers the success of the national team)?
@@brooklyniron1999No problem. Yes you will see more non traditional Irish names in the years ahead coming into the team. There are quite a few in various youth teams with names that are Polish, Albanian, and various African countries. What someone mentioned earlier is the key point though. Gaelic games take up so many potential athletes in the country directly at the expense of soccer. We have had good teams in the past even with this being the case but some of the other factors above have now added to it and left us with our current worst team of all time. Hopefully it will turn around soon though.
Kerr doesn’t, and never did have a clue about football. Bless him the old fart.
What a truly idiotic comment... My word 😂
🤔
I assume that was an attention seeking post 😂
