The base is just 1" foam pieces, roughly cut with a a drywall saw and then stacked and glued. I used a bit of celluclay (paper maché) and then covered everything with some plaster of paris and a base coat of tan interior wall paint before doing the steps in the video.
Now dry brush white paint on the raised protruding rock faces very lightly and watch as the face of your hills stand out in the light as well as creating greater depth perception. Trust me on this.
I used celluclay (paper mache) and plaster of paris to shape the final structure, then painted everything with tan indoor latex paint before I started the wash.
Hahaha, I like your style. Rocks look amazing, well done.
Thank you so much!
I watch a lot of train videos and your rocks are the most realistic I’ve seen. Can you share how you created them?

The rocks came out nice, good colors.

I think there are some older videos showing the process.
Why do you have to swear 🤬
It's the way I talk. Don't watch if you're offended.
Side note, it keeps the advertisements off the video if you swear in the first 10 seconds.
