@@SailingSVLynx also, I don’t know if it’s stainless or plated copper but stainless steel is a pain in the ass to drill. You need the right drillbits and drill speed to make it easier.
The thing with escape hatches is making sure they are secured in tight and cannot get sucked out Or leak due to under deck wave suction. Some the frames popped out others the glass got pulled out.
An older Goiot escape hatch model was recalled and a new model (the one we have) was released to fix the issue with the acrylic falling out. Certainly, any hatch needs to be installed correctly so that they don't leak :)
1000 hours? Man that may be tough! As your friend and a retired body worker. I recommend finding a little money to hire at least some of that work out lol
In awe of the project. Curious to know if the next president chooses to pursue an isolation policy how much would it cost extra for the imported parts? We all need each other. Great job so far.

Question: Should you be glassing over the fairing compound on the lower hulls ?
It's just the same epoxy, well, 97%. So, roughened up, it will adhere.
Wonder if rudder foam is the same type and density D80 (green) as the hull core. Thank you.
Yes, without the epoxy posts or lamination.
