    I have been golfing for 40 years and this is the best explanation of the wrists, arms, etc and how they all work! Thank you.

    Hi Roger,
    As a fellow follower of MDLT, I just wanted to say your explanation is even clearer than the book Understanding the Golf Swing. Thanks for sharing this visual-it’s really helpful!

    Roger you are an outstanding teacher. Very detailed but simple concepts. After watching this video, I went out and broke 80. This is something I haven’t done in a long time. Would have been even lower if my short game was better. Thank you. Very much appreciated.

    Love it! All Ernest Jones from the 1920’s…Swing it back with hands, swing it forward with arms. (not forearms)

    Your explanation of how the right hand works is perfect & a game changer👍. That along with the feel of starting to release the club by your back leg.

    Damn! It's dark here, otherwise I'd be going out somewhere right now to try this. Got an inkling of this feel today, so it's great to see it explained in detail. Thanks for posting!

    Hey Roger great vid, I think most students are not paying enough attention to how the butt end of the club moves in on the downswing as the club head moves out towards target.. the slow mo videos have damaged a lot of golfers as they try to hold off angles in the downswing. If the butt end drops and works inward towards centre that’s not an early release. It allows the head of the club to move out towards target. I’ve been watching your videos and have picked up huge speed and balance. Thanks 🙏

  • @cjlemite
    @cjlemite 3 місяці тому

    I agree the arms have a role but the lat muscles loading and unloading help. control the low point many beginning golfers use independent arm and shoulder motion that causes flipping and casting

    • @rkswingking
      @rkswingking  3 місяці тому

      Hands bring club over shoulder . If use arms in beginning of swing I agree .. all the other bad stuff happens ..lats load because of hand path and arm keeping radius

    Awesome video. Thanks for decluttering the golf swing. But please can we see you hit some balls. It would be very helpful to see this in action. Otherwise it's not so easy to imagine how this looks when you actually hit a golf balls.

    How did you know I watch Milo lol I do believe as you do that trying to do his swing is way too difficult to get everything just right . Thanks for the info because I was also confused on what to feel on the downswing with the upper right arm . I for the longest time have been trying to learn Jim Hardy’s swing but he has absolutely confused me with giving information one way then contradicting it in another

    People should go back through all of Roger KIng's videos, old to new, as certain wording, phrases and ideas, will now sink in, easy to miss on first time watch . There are a lot of videos, do not rush though , go back though.

    Reason being is ur knuckles face your chest in this hand is it therefore a rotation but im a backward motion in combination

    • @rkswingking
      @rkswingking  2 місяці тому

      I think your referring to forearm rotation which ultimately allows hand to move

    • @marklynd2039
      @marklynd2039 2 місяці тому

      @rkswingking okay so forearm rotation occurs even with the right hand motion which through the motion you describe the hand extends upwards not through hinging type motion it just flicks backward towards sky but does it actually rotate inwards towards you like the forearm rotation you describe

    • @rkswingking
      @rkswingking  2 місяці тому

      When the left forearm rotates on the other side of. The follow thru the right hand has to follow that

    • @marklynd2039
      @marklynd2039 2 місяці тому

      @rkswingking are you refering to the down swing stage of the swing with previous comment roger if so thanks , and yeah I was discussing the take away backswing part or trying to articulate , sorry have I confused you in way I'm talking 🙂😂
