Entirely agree. their music and style are too intimate to cross the threshold that would lead them to wider recognition. The problem is that, for that, she would have to change the band, or a new manager who would break everything: and just keep the crystal that is her voice to adorn it with a big machine with sharp hits.

@@jpr593 I'm as floored by the climate the three of them create as with Hannah's voice. I'm so thankful for their collective deep magic. I don't know why people wish for more. Actually, more...of what? There is this kind of sadness and redemption in their sound. They reach together some precise and precious feelings. A subtlety I feel lucky they keep cultivating.

Waaaaay better than the original.... Here I can feel every feelings the text meant to transmit : calm sadness and clear mind about a story that can't continue despite the love of the other.
I'm sorry but the original has such a bad timing i don't even have the time nor the idea of feeling all that.
This song needed the magic of London Grammar to offer all it's potential and this is so moving and marvellous I want to cry with a slighty smile on my face.

Hannah's voice does not need all that reverb. It's beautiful by itself.
One of the best things about London Grammar is I never get the feeling that each part is trying to compete with the other feels like they are all just trying to compliment each and the result never ceases to astound me!! (Not sure if that is intentional but bloody hell it really does create something special)

I completely agree. I've played, written and recorded music since the late 90s and these guys are just fantastic in all respects - musicianship, recording, and of course Hannah's singing is astonishing. They also know how to add to a song by not playing, i.e. less is more. You mentioned Hannah's dress - on that note, what I love about Hannah is that she always looks absolutely fantastic, but you get the feeling it's all her and she's not dressed by some sleezy record company boss. Much like their music, it's the beauty of subtlety and honesty, which always trumps overtly trying too hard.
