Guys watch kalki 2898 ad
Awesome!!
Spidey is so Robin Wood!
Also, anyone watching Lucifer?
Eliza's acting was so good in that last scene. You can't help but feel bad for her. Of course it doesn't justify her actions but it's hard not to feel bad.
She does make me rethink my stances on criminal punishment so it's good writing. I still think she should have payed the ultimate price before she was reformed. She did too much in season 3 of buffy. Great character though
Vampires CAN be photographed. All the way back in Buffy season two Giles shows her a photograph of Drusilla when he tries to find out if she was the vampire Buffy had spotted talking to Angel. Also the vampire from Buffy's 18th birthday that abducted Joyce took a bunch of Polaroids of her, but some of them are selfies he took with her.
And Spike had someone videotape Buffy fighting a vampire so he could study her moves.
Cordelia’s iconic line: they photograph they just don’t photograph well
And there are no mirrors in cameras only lenses.
@@yotuel9064 There was a mirror in cameras at the time, but they reflected the image to the cameras viewfinder. This means that the photograhers shouldn't see a vampire when looking through the viewfinder, but they would appear in the photo. The show got around this issue by ignoring it.
Faith in Angel are some of my favorite episodes, truly the shows very best stories
Angel and Faith is one of the best dynamics in all of the Buffyverse. They both understand each other and have each others’ backs. It’s like a true platonic soul mate situation. They just get each other.
One of the best decisions was to bring Faith over to Angel.
Yayyy omg I’ve been waiting to share this fun fact about the rain in the alleyway scene aka the iconic scene where Faith finally lets her walls down and breaks down in Angel’s arms. Basically, they originally wanted to make it rain in that scene, but they couldn’t find a way around it in terms of logistics, but to their luck, it ACTUALLY rained in real life while they were about to film the scene, so they instantly made it happen, as if it were a sign from the universe for them to go for it in the manner they initially wanted. And when Wesley drops the knife at the end there… ugh the sound of it when it clatters down to the ground alongside the sound of the rain and thunder is just so damn perfect and heartbreakingly beautiful. It’s moments/episodes like this where I often find myself thinking about how much I prefer the show Angel to Buffy because of the dark atmosphere and the redemption arcs or character developments that we get to see, such as Angel, Faith, Cordelia, Wesley, Lilah, and Darla’s growths. I’m more drawn to darker storylines, which is why I say so! And the reason why I’m talking about the other characters too is because these aren’t spoilers for you guys. You’re already so far ahead on patreon and twitch, which I don’t have access to because I can’t afford them, so this is where I can comment on your Angel reactions :)
The friendship/interaction and jokes on the couch are what I wish I had when watching stuff. You'll never see this: value your friendship and these moments. Laughter is a precious thing. Thank you for the laughs.
In Season 1 of Angel, he is 243.
Of years sense he was turned, we don't know how long he was in the hell dimension for.
Re: forgiving Faith vs Angel debate: this episode literally showed that even when Angel had a soul, he still did bad things. It took a while for him to truly change, not just in action but in heart. Ensouled Angel had his own crimes separate from Angelus'. So if we can forgive Angel now for what he literally did in this flashback, then Faith can be forgiven as well. At the very least, it makes perfect sense that Angel sees himself in Faith and so he wants to help her. Wesley is a little more complicated in his motivations here. I think he stopped because he was deferring to Angel and didn't want to undercut him again like he did last time. I don't think he stopped because he thought Faith could still be redeemed. I think he stopped because he had faith in Angel (pun intended.)
Remember angel as a human was not this great hero or stoic guy he was lazy, Drunk, who whore'd himself to whatever woman. Once Meets Darla. He confesses to her that he wants to be more, travel the world through her, to be shown(Not knowing that she's a vampire of course) And no longer wanting to feel like a nothing under his religious father's weight. After becoming a vampire, he kills his father feeling like he's overcome him. Then wants to become notorious as this great Demon causing pain through his travels. Of course He's given his soul back But he spends the next hundred years , not know him what to do because he wasn't a great man when he was alive and And of course , all he really know Is to be a vicious vampire, It isn't until he meets buffy that he actually decide to help the helpless but Even then he's doing it just so he can get amoration from Buffy. So doyle has to convince him To be a hero because it's the right thing to do
I also think Wesley realized he failed faith and that she was just a girl who he should of taken better care of so he drops the knife.
Pretty sure Rebecca's manager doesn't mean romantically when he says he loves her. Oliver is the same manager that gave Angel his card in episode 1 and he is still presumably in a serious relationship with a landscape architect.
22:54 😂😂😂 "THAT STUNTMAN IS DEAD!" My exact reaction
Two really great episodes from the first season
With Eternity, I like how they teased Angelus. But with Five by Five, I was almost fed up with Faith. I was ready for her to end. But then Faith breaks down and I start to care again.
You can fix her xD
Pat is absolutely Faith. Rana is Cordelia
in that scene he was hungry and attacked that woman, but he stopped because he simply couldn't do it anymore, he was not capable to anything to her
1x17 I was incredible curious to see what they made of the Angel thinking he's Angelus because of the Doximal storyline that is the climax of _Eternity._ I wasn't disappointed with said reaction. I love that Thhe Normies realized with this episode that it wasn't the sex and it was all about the chemical of the drugs that made him forget Angelus' guilt because of how high he was from the drug and how that opens up all the other dangers of what Angel has to be careful of.
1x18 I was also curious about their reaction to the end of this episode. I loved that the writers arc-ed Faith hating herself, definitely since before she arrived in Sunnydale, but now its all caught up to her and she is just trying to use Angel to commit suicide by vampire without not fighting.
Who said Faith was on the team, Chris? The end of this episode is Faith hitting rock bottom. She's still wanted by the authorities and Angel is the only one in the group who could ever have a chance at helping her (or wants to) as he once told Buffy back in S3 when they talked about Faith having a taste for killing now.
Eternity was an interesting episode exploring the power of celebrity and how people can be taken in and manipulated by it. Angel having his drink spiked being drugged and almost getting that moment of pure happiness makes us anxious watching this. Funny when Cordelia calls her a slut, accusing her of having sex with Angel. Wesley knows it's not real and just an illusory feeling and saves the day here. Again the episode shows the dangers is spiking or drugging people as you never know what the consequences can be. Funniest part when Angelus tells Cordelia having to sit through her acting was even worse than being to Hell itself! This now sets up nicely E18 an E19 very much a two parter as good as anything from either show. Enjoy!
At the end of the episode, when Angel and Faith are fighting in the rain --that is real rain. It started coming down in buckets, and they went for it
They are in season 5 now… maybe they should have happy pilled him instead of temporarily removing his soul in season 4 to get the information.
Faith is hot but Cordelia is my wife
Cordy's fine until she cuts her hair.
@ 4:39, that actor .... no lie will play another character years later in season 5... the fact i never noticed until now how many actors were reused over the seasons of buffy and angel was amazing 20 years later and just now noticed a lot. Like hidden gems of actors being reused on the same show
It’s killing me, who??
There is that one guy in S7 of Buffy that ended up in Angel. Brian Thompson appeared in Buffy twice as 2 different characters. Both of them got whacked by Buffy.
Kal Penn was in Buffy and Angel.
Another one was Noel G aka Hector that was also in Buffy and Angel.
@@McCrispyTaco her agent with the glasses, he comes back as another character in season five... no difference in hair and everything lol
Random Trivia: There is an Angel Easter Egg in Avengers Age of Ultron
Angel is 243 yrs old…1890s he gets his soul and for 100 yrs he is with his soul. For 140 yrs before that he is soulless. So, no, there is no continuity error.
If you look at how faith expression when she held Wesley hostage and told him *I want to hear you scream* she wanted his approval of her being bad. She doesn’t want to be.
Chris is back to spoiling things now… like in his ATLA faze.
Charisma only charged me £40 to sign my Playboy .
A brilliant episode from S1 really a two part episode with the next one Sanctuary. Here we see Faith again who has completely lost control, after escaping Sunnydale from Buffy. She comes to L.A. to wreak more havoc. A brilliant comedy moment when Angel is talking to the 'Suit' in Wolfram & Hart with business speak, and he doesn't know who he is, a parody of Michael J Fox in Secret Of My Success. A fantastic ending in the alleyway in the rain ( this show loves alleyways in the rain) with Faith begging Angel for help after her serious nervous breakdown. Angel knows what she has gone through and offers help. A great final shot of Wesley in the distance as well dropping the knife. One of the most iconic endings to any episode in The Buffyverse. This episode and the following one E19 are two of the best from both shows.
I have G Gundam on DVD and just binged it a few weeks ago. No one ever remembers it thank you for always bringing it up
Both great episodes.
Great, another familiar(Blade reference).
I met her sitting next to Stacy dash who I ignored completely chris a savage
RIP Tyler Christopher.
Really enjoyed this, so don't get the wrong idea from the specifics here seeming critical.
I'm not sure why Chris is so hung up on the "200 years" thing, treating it like an exact figure rather than an incredibly rough way to indicate "a long-ass time." We literally saw him in a flashback in the 1750s a few episodes ago.
Also not sure why Suraj was talking about "13 colonies off the coast of what we thought was India" in like... 1900 or something. Pretty sure there were 40-something states by then, and millions of Irish people had already come over to escape the great potato famine.
Most confusingly, though... multiple episodes in one video, but still splitting up a 2-parter? But hhwhy?
Fun times ahead
I agree with Chris. Faith being in a coma wasn't enough to keep her in check. Forgive her if some of y'all like, but she should be dealt with with extreme prejudice.
Yeah, but being in a coma doesn’t equal therapy; and she is in desperate need of therapy.
What about Angel, Anya, and Spike then? They've done evil things including killing countless people as well (with no remorse in certain cases). I disagree with Chris' take because it's very black and white. There's no room for potential development or considering whether a character deserves a chance at redemption in the first place. You don't have to forgive Faith but I think her character development is very compelling.
Angel is in his 240s at the time of this. This has been established in the shows for ages and repeated multiple times. He was sired in 1753 by Darla (Becoming part 1) and cursed in 1898 (Becoming and multiple others). He spend nearly a hundred years souled and isolated before the start of Buffy.
serious question: Have faith & cordelia actually interacted before this episode?
Not really. The closest before this was Cordy sitting around and looking annoyed as Xander was begging Faith for more stories, but the two had never spoleed directly to each other on screen.
Darla should of got penalized also she gave him the gypsy
ZANPAKUTO REBELLION ARC IN BLEACH IS CANON NOW. Shunsui Kyoraku's bankai manifesting in TYBW confirms this. Please go back and watch this amazing Arc you skipped.
Suraj nailed it on the head by comparing Angel's past to Faith's present. A big part of this show is getting the audience to grapple with the idea of redemption and if you can truly atone from evil deeds in your past. It's way more engaging (imo) than just killing off Faith like a monster of the week.
Angel have not deleted anyone, how can they be so medically ret¤¤¤¤¤ after watching so many episode.....Angel/Liam was dead, he was in heaven or hell, Angelus was the one who was deleting people, not the human, only the demon. How is it so hard to grasp??? NOTHING the demon did is the fault of Angel, lol
Because they’re bloody idiots that’s why. They talk and scream over every bloody thing, so is it that surprising they barely grasp the plot. This show is wasted on them........
Not a great fan of hearing a person saying they would ignore someone because of their politics (unless we're talking straight-up irredeemable evil, in which case I'd get it). Although, not being from the US, maybe it is because I don't know the lady
Ngl yall kinda ruined the emotional impact of the ending of the episode tbh
Watch kalki
Wait is Chris a Trump supporter? Quitting the patron.
Dear @thenormies. Defenestration. You're welcome \o/
