I saw the ad was 20 minutes long and thought: "Who on earth would think it was good to pay for such a long ad? Not effective." ... 20 minutes later, I'm here writing that I am truly touched. I cried.

Wise choice my friend. Did you know those sleep aps are just estimating at best? Unless you are in a lab hooked up to wires and monitored by another human, there is no way a phone can tell what phase of sleep your in. Don't get me wrong, phones are however very good at making phone calls! I will charge you half the cost and I will tell you about your sleep and I will do it from thousands of miles away the next time you choose to sign up.......

The first time I heard of charity water I was sad 😢 that I didn't have enough money to help but I am saving my money and planing on donating my 11 birthday to raise money and I plan on spreading the word about charity water, the first time I wached this video it was just an ad, but I'm glad I didn't skip the ad , because it was so sad I cried, but I stoped crying and counted all my money but I only have $2 but I told my self that I would save up my money and give it to charity water.

You are a great kid, so full of empathy and a desire to help others in need. Maybe you could show your parents the video, explain how important it is to you, and ask them to donate - or ask if you can do chores for money you can donate. You’ll need their help anyways since the website requires you to be 16 years old to make a donation (I just set up a monthly donation and they make you check a box verifying you’re 16 or over), and to pay with a credit card or Paypal account. Even if you can’t donate money, you can make a very valuable contribution raising awareness for the cause, on social media and elsewhere. Stay kind.

I have been donating every month for 6 years and have watched this video so many times and it makes me cry every time. I tell everyone I can about it. Thanks for joining the team. I lived a summer without water 40 years ago when my well went dry and it gives you a new perspective of how lucky most of us are to have water 💦. I have said that of all the things we do wrong to our planet that running out of water will be our demise. So I help to bring water and pray for the rains to keep coming 🙏❤

@@ivanasukjadic1423Probably for the same reason I'm still crying after watching the entire ad that interrupted an already moving UA-cam video and had me already donate and come back to read the comments. Because of the initial story of Scott's mom's illness and how it altered his entire childhood and future, how he became financially prosperous while becoming morally bankrupt, how he came to that realization and decided to completely turn his life around, how he ended up having to actually pay a charity to be able to intern for them, how his heart was deeply touched when he met the wonderful doctor on the ship and the desperate people he had been helping for nearly 30 years, how he explored the more rural areas where he was and witnessed the horribly deadly conditions of the water and the peoples' struggle to transport it, how he was determined to do something about it, how he got people to donate to his cause by doing what he did best; having a rave, how he had the ingenuity and creativity to develop the tools and communications back to those who initially donated at the rave in order to encourage them to keep giving and spread the word, how the sweet, bighearted nine-year-old girl tried in vain to raise $300 for clean water for people in other parts of the world, how she was killed not long afterward in a tragic automobile accident, how her death brought the charity to the attention of the entire world that caused it to grow exponentially, how her family traveled to a remote jungle area where the grateful people had erected a crude shrine in her honor at their new well and broke down with their own gratitude for honoring their family member in such a way, and for the continued success of the charity.
While your comment that this video was positive is accurate, Rebekah didn't say she was bawling her eyes out because she was sad. Many times people like she and I (and I'm sure many others commenting here) bawl our eyes out not because we are sad, but because our hearts are filled with such intense joy when we see or hear something that moves us in a positive way that we are moved to tears. In fact, the video that I was watching when this ad came up was just speaking to that very idea. The speaker was expressing how when he looks up into the night sky he is filled with awe, and also that music can make us feel something similarly intangible that causes us to dance and/or sing with the rhythm. And along with everything else that exuded excellence in this ad, I am certain without a doubt that the music had a huge impact on how it reached deep into the hearts of everyone who watched it, whether on a conscious level or subliminally. There is a reason that music is referred to as the universal language. It is because it speaks to the heart, where no words are necessary.
So, I hope that this answers the question that you posed to Rebekah, and that I have not spoken for her out of turn, but that at least some of the reasons that I stated for this video touching MY heart, are some of hers as well. God bless you.

This video changed my life. I was addicted to alcohol, caffeine and nicotine. Heavily. Was partying, fighting, just going completely off the wall. And it was killing me. Then I saw this, it woke me up and inspired me to change. To help people rather than just live my life for myself. I'm still on my journey but I am now two years sober, healthier and much happier. I am eternally grateful to Scott and anyone else who shares their turn around story. For people who were in the position I was in, you can turn your life around. You can. You can start by forgiving yourself and know that other people just like you have changed. This isn't the only way.

I just watched this video. It brought me to tears. I am a low income, older college student. Last semester I wrote a paper on how to bring clean water to countries that have no way to get clean water to drink and to water crops. This video spoke volumes to me. I want to do something that can bring awareness too this issue. How might I do that? Thank you for all your organization does to help people. God bless you!!!!

I’ve watched this ad about 10 times and I think I cry every time the Rachel Beckwith story gets told
today, I got a very generous raise from my company. I was overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude, especially during a time when so many people are struggling. I wanted to celebrate by doing something good and I found this ad. I watched every second and it hit me hard. I am now a monthly donor. So many of us want to do something good but don't know how. Organizations like you not only make a difference to the ones you serve but also give us all an opportunity to give back. Thank you saving people.

My wife and I gave up our birthdays for Charity Water 10 years ago .... and haven't done so since. Just watched this video in it's entirety on a UA-cam ad and have so say...wow...heartbreaking and inspiring. After I wiped the tears from my eyes, I went and setup my "The Spring" subscription. And going forward, every birthday and Christmas for me (and our kids) will be donated to this charity. Amazing job telling this story by the Charity Water team.

Wow! I thank God that I didn't click this ad too for I needed to hear this man's story!!!!!!! It was heart breaking that his mother being the only child and young had been really sick at the time but his story has touched my heart and God knows I needed to hear it. It has blessed me. It's amazing how God can use someone that was out there doing other things going the wrong way to serve others and help them. I think he has found his calling. Love the story!!! Two years ago I started monthly donations to Charity Water but after 18 months I had to change my credit card and I did not realize that Charity Water had dropped off. I just saw your new video and checked my bank statement for the date I started and was surprised I had not made my donation in 6 months. 5 yrs ago, I once denied by a charity, and never looked back again, thought I lost that passion to help others, and trust to charities forever.
But when I watched this 19 mins long marketing ad at midnight, I am full of tears...thank you for bring me back, and helped me realized that I still care about people, and still have a warm beating heart.
And WATER is the most abundant resource on the planet !!! I wish this Charity success and I am a "THE SPRING" donor.

I DEFINITELY said, " Oh hell nah...." right as I was about to click next, then you spoke about your mom and I was like...."Oh okay..". Then You and I'm like..."The universe is telling me to become a party promoter?" I'm so glad I didn't click off this. I have so many plans for helping people and this just gave me the boost I needed. Also, wow. Almost 1 billion people with dirty water? Idc how many people want it that way. It's GOING to change. You've helped 11 million? First time I've ever watched the whole ad on a UA-cam video, -- my heart was touched, my sense of integrity was deeply impressed by this company's fervent and awesome transparency, and I'm very happy to be a member of The Spring and pay a monthly fee to contribute to some real, actual good in the world.
I first watched this video a few years ago on UA-cam and It's super emotional and inspiring and really really makes you appreciate everything we have (living in west!) and appreciate people like Scott who are literally changing the world, massive respect to you!

About a year ago, I watched this video as an ad on Facebook, I had to save it in my profile but a few days back, I checked and couldn't find it. Now, I had to come search for it on UA-cam and found it. It aligns so much with what I believe my mission here on earth is and touched me so much. Thank you Charity Water... 💖
I first came across this about 10 months ago. I was in a lesson at school, and after a video, my teacher was called out to do some admin. Auto-play made everyone see some of this ad. I couldn’t hear it over my friends’ loud chatting and had to read the captions, it was like, “Why is no-one paying attention to this?!” It got to all the charity applications getting denied, when my teacher came back in and powered on with the lesson. I kept meaning to try and find it again, but never found the time. Fast-forward to September 2021, when I finally had the intuition to search about for it. Let me tell you, I’m so glad I did. I’m still at school, so I can’t donate myself, but I really want to do something like this when I grow up.

After watching this video, I'm going to try not to waste any water. We all should do. Things like turning off your faucet when you're brushing your teeth, shampooing your hair, etc. Just whenever you're not actually using water.

Umm, that's not how it works. It's not like if you turn off the faucet sooner, people in Africa have more clean water. There's this thing called the water cycle. If you watched the video, you know what they need is reliable wells.
I can honestly say that I stopped donating to these types of (water/well building) charities 20 + years ago, after we found out how financials were distributed (most around 80% to the management pockets!). However, refreshingly, this organisation seems to be extremely genuine, and with 100% of the donations blessing the cause, I have personally become a monthly sponsor and will be setting up an organisational donation opportunity for both our people and our clients. It's so exciting to help others with this basic and essential human need. I'm excited to be involved.

It appeared as an ad, but for the first time in my life I couldn't stop watching. Amazing! ❤❤❤ I will play it to all my students for sure.
I usually skip all of the ads I see, even the info ones about charities. But this one stood out to me, it captivated me. His story was inspiring and I love that they are doing things differently. Clean water is something most people take for granted, just like the food we have in our pantries and on our tables. I'm doing a college speech course right now, and one of the speeches I have to do s an informative speech, and I choose food insecurity. So when I saw this ad, and what they are doing I couldn't help but relate it to my speech, to food insecurity and hunger. Some people are living their lives without some basic necessities we take for granted, and I hope this video goes viral. I hope more people see this and realize just like he did.

I saw this ad during a sermon and was like “I am NOT watching a 20 minute ad!” 4 minutes in and I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. I cried and immediately went to find out how I can donate. EXCELLENT storytelling. Thank you for this!
Watched the ad for this half way before accidentally clicking another video when adjusting my phone. I decided to find the ad and finish it. So glad i did. This is amazing.
I saw this while washing the dishes and was like "really? Another 20-minute long video that I can't skip?" but then I ended up listening to the whole thing.
This was ther best commercial I ever watched! Joined the charity immediately afterwards and now donating monthly.

I'm shocked an ad caught held my attention for so long. I ALWAYS skip ads. Watched the whole thing and passed along the URL to FB and directly to friends. *tears down my face* I'm in.

The first time in my entire life I watched an add on UA-cam from start to finish and it was 20mins long. Of course i cried, sent it to my wife immediately after, of course she cried too. Searched the channel on UA-cam,educated myself, subscribed, So willing to support. Easily one of the best videos on UA-cam. Wow.
I prayed for everyone good today. I seen this and its what I wish for all too. Fresh water. Already bawling not even 1 minute into it.

hi scott. thanks for inspiring me thru stories and videos. i've joined on my social charity foundation since 2013, our activities: helping others who need help by providing free medical services, giving foods and stuffs to those who suffer from floods, and other social things to help those who need most. i must say that your videos have given me many inspiration. keep doing the good job and all the best for all of your foundation act.

I'm so glad I watched this. I cried watching this. I am going to share this video with my family members. If all the members of my family gave $5 a month for this, that would be $50...$10 a month would be $100...and so on...I love that 100% of donations go to the charity's cause. I believe soon everyone on the planet will have access to clean water.

Every time I watch this video, first I am amazed and amused and astonished at everything that is being said- water conditions, illnesses, the start of this organization- and then i hear about Rachel's story and the story of the girl in another country who died from the water after being sick for two hours and I just start crying.

This is very touching and impactful, I cried and felt I was there 🥺 It’s wonderful to see people like these doing meaningful.
The capacity to relay, it’s something I’ve witnessed from my grandparents; they always gave to church and so many people out there who no1 else would help, so I’ve always admired and have great respect for people like this. I’ve done volunteering work and for me it’s truly gratifying.
I might not be able to financially help others but I can invest my time, effort, energy... Hopefully more people understand that we’re all connected somehow and by doing something positive for small that it may be, we can create a better world.
I’ll be sharing this with friends and acquaintances who have financial abundance, spread the word on good causes, my small way to contribute.

I also saw this ad, and just found myself super curious and kept watching. VERY good storytelling, kept me involved, and my heart goes out to those poor people drinking dirty water. Just seeing it made my stomach turn :(
