ABOUT FAR CRY 7: Set four years after Far Cry 6, players are placed in Coonowrin, a fictional part of South Australia located across the borders of Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Authoritarianism has broken out in the country in reaction to growing drug trafficking concerns. In an act of preserving their reputation, the government hired CROWN, a PMC to apprehend the Haddie Gang and anyone accused of smuggling Kyratian contraband. You are a veteran war journalist (Mark Coles Smith, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, The Last Cab to Darwin) assigned with reporting the conflict. You realise early on, the anonymous man pulling the strings of the conflict is Arthur Logan (Ben Mendelsohn, Rogue One, Captain Marvel), an ex-ADF captain whose radical philosophy on power kept him in control over the conflict.
GUNS, SPEARS, AND BOOMERANGS
A wide variety of weapons are available at your disposal. Wield the traditional Steyr with its stable recoil control. Or if you’re nostalgic, then the native Owen Gun packs a punch with its impressive fire rate. Don’t be too comfortable, as guns can be jammed if overused. However, varnish bottles are scattered across the regions for your convenience.
For those who prefer not to go loud, traditional weapons like the boomerang and the spear will help you lie low. Like previous instalments, players can perform takedowns with a variety of bladed and blunt weapons each with their own speed.
AGGRESSIVE WEATHER CONDITIONS
The Bush does not discriminate by faction. During hot periods of weather, the player’s hydration meter drains quicker. Some locations are unreachable through main roads but can be quickly reached should the weather remain dry. In some areas of the land, rain can fall at any time in which the ground turns muddy, making some travel routes incalculable. Nonetheless, the player can seize the opportunities to refill their canteen.
ANIMALS AND CREATURES
Home to a diverse chain of deadly fauna, the Bush has no rest for the weary. Crocodiles lurk beneath brown rivers, while dingos and kangaroos spring across dry hills. However, not all creatures have to be your enemy. Befriend a former racing greyhound, a tamed magpie who strikes fear into its foes, and Hugh, a pet wolverine Hurk Jr. imported from Montana.

@@albertogiavani75 You never know, Ubisoft recently made a new DLC for both AC Vallhalla and Odyessy for a story arc. They could do the same with any of the Far Cry games.

they already messed up the timeline, 5 ended with nukes, 6 just picked up with a revolution, no sign of nukes, now you can't tell me Cuba would be unaffected economically or even just a nuke or two hit them in the event of a war. Because Cuba has large reliants to China for trade
All jokes aside, this sounds like a nice concept for Far Cry 7. Hopefully Ubisoft sees this.

I know there are people who want it, but personally, I don’t want to see the FC games take place in Australia. I play these games for the wildlife diversity and despite the memes and humor regarding wildlife from Australia, there’s really not much for the game.

@@brettalexander220 not just big cats, it’s missing a lot of animals or it’d be recycling animals from FC3 like the water buffalo, cassowary, and saltwater crocodiles. Dingos would be like the dholes in FC4 and that’s pretty much it. They could make emus and kangaroos “dangerous” but it’d be very unrealistic. After those animals, there’s nothing else in terms of big animals.
You could get way more out of the game if it were centered in India, Russia, Africa (different area from FC2), China, or the Arctic tundra/Canada.

My Far Cry 7 idea: Set in a fictional county in virginia united states called Max County Virginia United States with the deputy customizable character protagonist from far cry 5 with Joseph Seed returns as the main antagonist and with the classic far cry healing animations.
I have a somewhat similar idea:
Set in the town of Whitarklay Station, West Virginia in 1974, you play as 29 year old Vietnam vet William "Billy" O'Bannon who leads a peaceful cult called the Harlowian Servants on a path to rebel and expose Daniel King and his crooked sheriff deputies

Global far cry actually sounds interesting..... Single combat against teams or co-op battles, team battles, using the game data from your saved far cry games to determine your rank within the far cry global game, using your saved load out as your gear..... Would be very interesting.

Um, what are my thoughts? Okay first Farcry goes to Australia; we’ll that lays to rest the theory that the next Farcry was going to be a off world sci-fi shooter; I have always hoped that they would do a Farcry set in Saudi Arabia or Japan. Graphically I thought that it looks lackluster, and even Farcry six looked better than this, but without actually playing the final product it is hard to tell where the graphics actually will be. I was hoping that the graphics would be as good as Horizon Forbidden West or better, not this. This has trouble competing with Farcry 6. Obviously, they have a long way to go to take full advantage of the power of the playstation 5. It would help a lot to recompile the code under unreal engine 5 game engine (the latest unreal game engine), and I can tell from the demo that this is not unreal 5. Who knows maybe it is the Unity game engine or Unreal Engine 4.

they should discard the previous mechanics from 5 and 6, and program a totally new game separately, but it probably doesn't pay off when they already have that engine from 5, the new far cry should be somewhere on a remote hard core wilderness island in asia with constant storms, rain jungle mud cliffs abysses tiger panthers, wild boars, to make the game much bloodier more to pull on survival tactics, weapons to be much more realistic, that system from fc 2 to return weapons jamming and breaking, rust due to the environment of vegetation entering the water with a rifle, somehow to get rid of that children's humor from the game would be ideal
Personally, would like to see the next Far Cry's combat and movement mechanisms being similar to that of Dishonored.
If it is only online at least make it with a really good character customation
