I think it's reasonable to expect a mother to be hurt that her child doesn't want to participate in her dream. I think it's reasonable for the mother to be upset her daughter is distancing herself from her. It can't feel good to know that her child doesn't think she was a good mother. That's painful and humiliating to hear. It doesn't make her a victim. Just human. I do find it frustrating she keeps cutting off her daughter as she explains why she's distanced herself. Dealing with my parents last year alone stressed me out so bad my anxiety is WAY worse than it’s ever been! I’m back in therapy for it now. My parents separated last year and even tho I live 4 hours away I was caught in the middle catching strays allllll last year. So if I’m being mistreated especially these days I’m out.

Brother this was FACTS all the way. I was a young, single background dancer for a degrading ent. group about 8 years ago and in that your Jesus saved me and turned me away from the lifestyle. Everyone different but what works for me is have a pet it gets me up and moving while keeping me here so she don't starve, having like minded people around me, distance myself from additional unnecessary stress, and I find peace when I do something that I have to be precise with. A great therapist that does not talk over you, don't treat you like a walking diagnosis, and don't try to force you to do anything you not ready for. I hope you find a way that works for you 🙌🏿
