She was the strongest singer out of the group. Only Dawn could ad lib & do all the riffs & whatever else the industry call it. She was the complete package & she was right when she said that if Lisa Left Eye & her had been friends they would have gotten along because they both thought on the same wavelength, especially when it came to seeing the imbalance within the industry aka the theft of their talent. Just being honest. While we're talking about being honest? That is what no one else liked about Dawn, she speaks the truth because she has self value & knows her worth. Why shouldn't she get paid the same kind of money that these newbies were getting? En vogue could have gone far if they had only supported Dawn in pursuing what they rightfully were worth. Thank you for posting! My pipe dream is a tour with EV5, featuring segments with the OG4, the first EV3 (Terry, Cindy, Max), the second EV3 (Terry, Cindy, Rhona), and EV5. With a bomb band or better yet a full orchestra behind them. Maybe for a set time. Best case scenario, all wounds heal, and everyone is happy. But at the very least, no drama before, during or after, and the EV3 who have kept the torch burning all these years can go back to doing what they do without fear of more disruption. Because they stayed booked and busy! I’ll keep praying that’s possible, and that it’s something that could be positive and stress-free for them & for us! 🙏 I live in hope.

I'm so happy they put their differences aside and honestly I am shocked after listening to their individual stories regarding why they broke up I thought to myself "it don't look or sound like something they could reconcile" but GOD, cause it didn't look good from the outside looking in, so I am so happy and truly sincerely hope you all will stay together, you guys have a strong loyal following and fan base, there's no reason why you all shouldn't be working getting that paper and moving on to the next great things the universe has in store for you guys.., just remember if something needs to be said, say it, find a middle ground of agreement that everyone can live with and move on, you guys are legends and the newest member is now on her way to legendary status and I think she's a great addition to the group, so yall do yall thing and get along and I wish you all the best, really happy to see this.... and remember as black women in this game always have each other's back and fight for one another, when you know one is deserving.. united we stand, divided we fall.. just remember that..
