Thank you for this great reaction commentary. I love the Scorpions and especially this song. I wish the whole world would listen to this song and put down the weapons and work things out. We are brothers and sisters. Peace and love only.
The scorpions are a German band and they wanted to make a statement about the Soviet union at the time, but it ultimately became an anthem for when the Berlin wall came down. People had not seen friends or family in decades because of the wall and finally got to reconnect. It was a beautiful moment in history to see the two sides becoming one again. The scorpions are an awesome band and there are lots of songs to check out. I recommend Rock you like a hurricane and still Loving you
This song will always remind me of the year the Berlin Wall was torn down by the hands of the People, working from both sides of the wall, to finally see each other again. When the Cold War ended and so did the USSR and a communist Russia. It was quite an experience witnessing it happen in real time, live on TV... I cry EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear this song because it brings me right back there and the feeling of the possibility of peace! It was an amazing time to be alive... Very much like today!! God bless! 😊
Wow. What a time it was. There is no need for war. God bless you and your family
I remember this very well, I believe I was around 12 when this song came out but growing up in that Cold War era, granted at the end of it, I will remember quite a lot and remember very well the Wall coming down in Germany. This song made a connection with me then, even at a young age, and the older that I have grown and the more research that I have done, I love the song even more. The Scorpions really knocked it out of the park with this one, not to discredit their other music which is still fantastic, but for me, and the connection, it is by far my favorite of theirs.
Best react to scorions ever my friend

This is such a beautiful historic song that reminds me of my childhood, and this man's voice is just amazing! It also shines on their known hit "listen to Still Loving You" - you should check that one out
Great reaction, hun. I was born in 1972 so the German wall coming down and the collapse of Russia was in my history. Btw Scorpions was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.
It sears the soul.
About the night they played with Roger waters of pink Floyd the Wall 92 watch it
Beautiful reaction brother. You would also appreciate Scorpions "The Good Die Young" .
The very first time I heard this was while watching a Filipino band in Singapore. I had been at sea so didn't get to hear it before that. LOVE Scorpions.
Favorite song from them.

this song / video came out in 1991...
There are political powers that want absolute power n those oppressed are not gonna stand down.
I remember when the wall came down. I was 17 at the time, a junior in high school, but I remember.... there was much hope that we were no longer on the brink of mutual nuclear annihilation. Heck, when I was born Brezhnev was still running the Soviet Union. I remember very tense times between the two superpowers. I also remember the duck-and-cover drills for a nuclear attack.
This song was an anthem of positive change.
