Being a guy who group loving these guys and seeing them in person your reaction is spot on. This song is still great in 2024.Love it! Takes me back to my high school years! ❤
Just saw them live at Mandalay Bay ultra mechelob arena around may of 2022 and Klause Meine sounded great still and Mikkey Dee on drums. It was so great to witness that performance. I graduated high school in 1984 when the Scorps were really popular. Watched all their music vids on mtv. What a great time that was. Thanks for doing a reaction to this song, love it👍🔥🎉❤
Seen them several times and they really are one of the best rock bands ever. They sound great live and their shows were well worth the travel we had to do to get to some of them.
I think Scorpions and Kraftwerk brought German music to the international stage more than anyone else at that time. Scorpions have made some of the most wonderful rock ballads ever made and Kraftwerk brought electronic (and experimental) music to the masses. Both have had a huge influence on global music styles. But then again being German it is quite possible I am very biased. But I bet this wasn't truly live but the music and voice were pre-recorded - quite normal at the time for 'live acts' on TV shows.
Scorpions the ballad masters, these guys have a lot of great ballads but good faster songs too. See also the band Blind Guardian the bards Song & vallhalla live at wacken open air 2016.
Skorpion had another famos ballad. Wind of change. They wrote it during the collapse and the end of the cold war. It was especially famos here in germany because it just felt so right. Germany had just been reunited and the old einem ceased to exist. Sometimes Timing is everything
Spoiler : This was NOT live. This was one of those situations where a band does a live appearance, but they lip-sync/air-band to the studio recording of their current hit. However, there is literally TONS of live stuff out there, and Klaus sounds just as good. Find selections from the concerts they've released on albums, like Worldwide Live (1985), Live Bites (2000), or Acoustica (2002). And while it's a studio recording, check out how good Scorps (or any metal band, really) sound with a full symphonic orchestra, on Moment Of Glory (2000).
It was an irritating thing at that time in Germany. I remember Santana being disgusted once when told he had to mime his song. I think someone told me once that it was because certain venues where not set up to do live gigs - maybe.
@@michaelgoetze2103 Sounds very plausible. I would imagine there's a number of reasons big name acts would resort to mime (lip sync & "air band"), including time, technical limitations, cost, and as you mentioned, venue limitations/restrictions. There might even be some wacky legal stipulation where actual live shows are not permitted without proper licensing/permissions or other formal contracting (cos the parasitic suits gots ta gets paid)...
The nostalgia for cassette tapes reminds me of my dirty, dirty, foul youth...where I shamelessly took ALL OF THE TAPES from Columbia House Records, and never gave them anything more than that one penny, you had to tape to the order form.
Hola chicos muy buena reacción 👌 tengo un clásico de américa del Sur quiero que reaccionen a esta banda de rock se llama rata 🐀 blanca 😎🤟 el tema " mujer amante"... abrazo grande Leo 🇦🇷 argentina
This isn't live. The video is from some German TV show and they are lipsyncing. They are amazing live, but this particular video isn't live. Every reactor does a reaction to this video and none (or almost none) notices that they aren't performing live. Find some true live performances to see (and hear) how great they really are.
That was album version. Playback...you can easily pick that up when there's harmonies in melody but just one singer and just listen album version. Still great song
Thanks again for a nice Reaction, but, this time was not so easy for me ...cause Nipple-Alert. I really tried to watch the Video in the Center, but....my Eyes turned always left to the Sreen. How could you dare - i was innocent....i thought

Growing up in the 80's as a teen, I've seen and heard this many many times yet still get goosebumps!
1985 😭 my freshman year of high school damn we had the best music! Klaus gave me goosebumps on the final chorus! Gen-X baby!
I graduated in '85, definitely the best musical era!!! Although, the free/peace/lovin 70's were hard to top!
WOOT!!! ME TOO.
Scorpions the hard rock band of master ballads.
I saw them last year... still great.
The kings of ballads.

Thumbs up for that sweater 👍
Don't know if anyone said it already: It's not live, but playback. However, The Scorpions sound amazing live too. Klaus Meine is a very good vocalist.

"When the Smoke Is Going Down" is much better.

Thanks for answer. Good points.

How could they cut such a great guitar solo at the end of the song?
Rudy Schenker, wasn’t it?
Please do scorpions "well burn the sky"
My absolute favourite Scorpions song - Klaus' voice really shines in that one.
Send me an angel

Reacción a" la leyenda del hada y el mago". Rata Blanca Argentina
It was not a live show. A playback stuff.
That was album version. Playback...you can easily pick that up when there's harmonies in melody but just one singer and just listen album version. Still great song
hahaha nice !
great song. but this girl might be the most beautiful girl i have ever seen. holy shit
It's not live, they're air band/lip syncing. I have yet to see a band perform a live fade away.
Lol. I would have thought that the fade away would have given it away that it wasn't live.
Exactly 😂

This isnt live
3 songs from this band love...hymne....im german...more good old reaction...serj taniakan...solo projekt from system of the down
I belive this performance was lip-synced. In those days, a band went on a show to promote and they would lipsynch their songs
