I always wondered why they didn't keep using them in season 8-10. I assume it's because the movie was filmed somewhere other than where the series was filmed, possibly on a lot with larger sound stages.
One of the advantages of doing Batman: The Movie that the producers wanted to take advantage of was the larger budget that would allow them to have more toys, like the Bat-boat and the Bat-copter, and use them in future episodes of the TV series. Sadly, those useful tools in Batman's arsenal were only seen again in repurposed stock footage for some reason. Likewise, I find it a shame that this cinematic Satellite of Love couldn't be brought over onto the TV show, because this is one slick-looking set.
@@bigduke5902 Yeah. They might not want to build an entire set...I get it...but at least print a giant scrim and light it so there's a physical "set" without obvious chroma key fringe.
You had to be there, I guess, but "Mike broke the Hubble, Mike broke the Hubble!", stuck with our gaming group for years afterwards. A friend of mine and I would usually chant it when someone else in the group flubbed a crucial dice roll.
Lordy, I love this movie so dearly. It was so packed with fun stuff. Right now, there talk of a billionaire possibly going dock with the Hubble for service mission he would be paying for. Hopefully, the grabber arms aren't bad.
It plays Torgo's theme when he uses the manipulator arm.
I always noticed it was called Manos, but I never noticed the music before.
nrrork z No way! I never noticed the music until now!
Holy shit I never noticed that!
The *haunting* Torgo theme.
Whhhhhhhhhaaaaaaatttttt‽‽ How have I never noticed this‽
Mike Nelson, Destroyer of Important Telescopes
Ryan Burns Mike Nelson, Destroyer of everything
Mike Nelson, destroyer of universes
From there, he progressed to destroyer of whole planets!
And a couple planets, millions of apes.
This was a nice foreshadowing of things to come during Season 8
Mike broke the Hubble, Mike broke the Hubble!
That always cracked me up lol.
Boys...
"Uh uh! No way! This is your dishwashing liquid, you soak in it!" Lol I'm going to start using that.
"Huh. 'Breech hull, All Die', even had it underlined!"
Never let Crow get his hands on a pickaxe
The truth behind the Boeing astronauts stuck on the ISS is Mike offered to assist with the docking.
I forgot how much higher-budget the sets and cinematography were for the movie!

was just watching a show on science channel talking about the hubble...all I could think was "Mike broke the hubble! Mike broke the hubble!" 😂
They missed a golden opportunity to have Mike say "it's a totally different kind of flying altogether".
"it's a totally different kind of flying"
The first (and least-known) casualty of Mike Nelson, Destroyer of Worlds... and it was in The Movie.
Did anyone else notice Mike smiling like a kid on Christmas morning at 1:21?
2:25 Oh, great! And now we got Movie Sign!
1996 - Mike breaks The Hubble
2021 - Mike sees NASAs news and goes into hiding
2024: Mike is arrested for vandalizing the Hubble by NASA and the FBI.
"Oh,GOOD one, Mike!"
0:57 Cambot, give me Rocket number 9!
*Gasp* It's the Hubble! YA KILLED THE HUBBLE!!!
@@Godzillakingofkaiju1 Gypsy, could you please-
" It's the Hubble you killed the Hubble!"
ITS THE HUBBLE! YOU KILLED THE HUBBLE! 😂
"But I had the right of way" -Mike Nelson
Ah...so THATS why the Hubble is dead....
Well, let's hope the Hubble landed on Yahoo Sirius.
1:11-Subtle!
They labeled it like that so it wouldn’t be pressed accidentally.

And now it's a green screen background

And even when it wasn't, the new bridge was only shot from a single angle. Come on, guys...

2:10 I fuckin’ died of laughter the first time I saw this!
Mike Nelson, destroyer of worlds, everyone.
"Mike wants a number seven!"
Good one Mike
2:10 How is that even possible?! There in space! There's no gravity in space!
Comedy 3000 you should really just relax.
I TOTALLY AGREE!!!
Zachary Erickson Oh, great! Now we have Movie Sign!
Plot convenience
Oh geez, I just noticed that the manipulator control arm is labeled "MANOS"!
D. Cummer That way, no one would press it by accident.
2:14 well looks like the Hubble's goose is cooked

Poor Gypsy. She works so hard.
Susan West she’s the true hero of mst3k.
So that's why the Hubble is always going in and out of failures. Mike!!!
Microsoft Flight Simulator?
The one in which it was cool to crash the Empire State before 9/11?
Molotera 'no Andrea' Legarreta yes. I was there when it was realeased. It was THE breakthrough simulator at the time
Back when you would phase through the buildings because it was fun to fly through the buildings and not crash.
Mike broke the Hubble Mike broke the Hubble 😄😄😄😄
A scene from Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie.
Always wondered if Mike was intentionally imitating John Agar when he started using the MANOS arms. There's some resemblance.... 😋

Mike broke the Hubble! Mike broke the Hubble !!
What is the music after Torgo's theme, when Mike is moving the arms towards the Hubble? Is there a name for it? I got it stuck in my head.
Zero dislikes, as it should be.
My favorite clip of this TV series is this one😄😄😄😄
Mike broke the Hubble Mike broke the Hubble Mike broke the Hubble 😄😄😄
1:44 mike starts to sweat
MANOS, THE HANDS OF FATE
Gravity works in mysterious ways
Jim Huffman not really gravity is really just the ultimate misanthrope.
James Brown wrote a song about it so it must be important.
LOL (2:27)
Is this from the movie?
This is from the movie?
