Thanks for another train fair visit. 🙂 23:19 The metal bodied J50 is very possibly a built Ks kit which usually used the Hornby Dublo 2 rail chassis from the SR 0-6-0 R1 tank engine. The kit gives it a nice bit of weight.
Hi Kimball, yes I thought it might be a K's kit as most of the old kits seem to K's. Quirky model which shows you how far things have progressed. Thanks for watching Rick
You mist your chance there, big Christmas stockings , it seems the the could hold an N gauge set😜 Not so many traders a usual so to see, but stil some nice stuff around. Thanks for the video. Cheers, Danny
Hi Danny, indeed they could! It was very quiet and missing several of our favourite traders. We bought an old Trix brake van but that was it. All the best Rick
I'm pretty sure that Porsche was a 944 not 924 with that wide body kit. I owned a 924 Martini for quite a while. You're right about the Bond Bug it was made by Reliant for Bond Cars Ltd (I had one of those too 😁) Oh, wait, we are meant to be talking trains.
Hi Gerry, you have great taste in cars. I checked it was a 924 Carrera GT. The give away is the boxy arches and bonnet scoop. The GT was a homologation special to enable the 924 in sports car racing. All the best Rick
The Dapol 'Stove' carriages were produced for Hornby magazine. They came in BR Blue, LMS and BR Crimson, with 6 variations I think. I've got the complete set plus spares. they average approximately £50 each these days. Barrie Davis is big on them.
If you hunt around you can find them. Last year having seen a Barrie Davis video about them (before his fall from grace - I no longer subscribe) I paid £20 for a BR one from my ex local model train shop, and around £35 for an LMS one from KJB. Both boxed and mint. The steps are very fragile!
Hello Pauline and Rick, could I start by saying Bobby is a great camera dog! How did Pauline not purchased the blue fish finger wagon? Also the Triang coaches that where repainted, were originally in blue, I had that set, the coach with sliding doors was a baggage car for the set. The bus ticket machine would be on a leather strip with the turn handle on the right hand side and the black block on top, it held the tickets. Also I think the green thing was used to hold and dispense change. Harry
Hi Harry, Bobby will do anything for a biscuit! We have the Fish Finger van otherwise I'm sure we would have bought it. The Elsecar Fair always throws up some oddities such as the bus items. All the best Rick

Ahh yes I had the Joueff Mk3s to go with my Hornby HST in 1977 . I knew the Hornby mk3 was too short . The mk3 was so imposing because it was so long
Hi Russell, you don't realise how big those coaches are until you try to make a full rake of them! Cheers Rick
