Hey friends!! We’re back. Let’s get this video over 2,000 likes! 🎉👍🏽
You're back, great! To be honest, I love your homestead videos much more than travel videos) You live in such green, cozy nature place. Have a warm time at home. Thank you for amazing videos!
Thanks Ruslan - I’m glad you enjoy the videos.
Me too!
We were in NZ all April and it was getting very Autumnal at the end…
Me too! Watching from Christchurch, NZ :)
As a fellow kiwi, I love your videos around your beautiful piece of land in the wairarapa :)
I thought I was going to miss the farm videos which I did! And thought I wouldn’t enjoy the travel vlogs. But I was so wrong! I heavily enjoyed your Thailand series, it gave us another perspective on your personality and what you enjoy doing. Which in turn just helps you show your authenticity and that is incredibly refreshing
Aww thank you Genie. I really appreciate hearing that. Glad you enjoy both!
The comments re seasons are so true..love your homestead videos.Thx for sharing your conscious living with us.
Thank you Glynis. So glad you’re enjoying
Love your nature videos. Always beautifully filmed. Would love to see more short hikes in NZ, maybe walks that take between 1 and 3 hours that tourists could fit in when they are travelling between cities and towns. You could call the series “On The Beaten Track” 😄 Stay warm.
Great to see you back. Hope you share more nature and homestead videos. Can’t wait to see new hidden places in countryside. ❤what a lovely sunny day. Hope LANKA is good. Cheers🎉
Thanks Aish. All is well
So nice to see you back! Thanks for posting looking forward to seeing more.
More to come!
Lovely to see you back in NZ . . . looking forward to more . . . Kiwi from Virginia.
Living here in the northeast of the U.S. I love the change of seasons, but I do wish winter was 2 months shorter. I enjoyed the Thailand series for sure and I'm looking forward to seeing what your up to during your winter season. I miss Woolsen and Ramsey.
Thank you! Yes winters can be long, especially up there! Stay tuned for more updates
Smiles of Thai people. Thank you for coming to visit my house.❤🇹🇭❤
Also moved from California to another region that has the four seasons, and it was a big change for me. I was so used to having relatively temperate weather all year round, that I didn’t appreciate the seasons as much as I do now.
What a gorgeous area you live in. You three lovelies are living my dream life. Thanks for sharing the beauty.
Fill your cup until it runneth over,, your wairoa will thank you for it... that’s paying dividends, being grateful for the beautiful seasons, something so romantic about them here. Nga mihi
Well said!
Beautiful hike, beautiful home Alex!
Thank you J T
Totally agree with the fire at least starting at 3pm.
Great video Alex, I really enjoy your homestead videos your fixer upper videos and simple living in the country, our in the garden and with all the animals. They are so relaxing to watch ❤😊
Thank you! More on the way!
Enjoy the Frozen Frostyyy mornings n Mushroom Foraging on your Lifestyle Block.
Is it not cold enough there to plant Sugar Birch Tree's?
Sure it is nice having seasons, but it can drag on a bit here. Living in Canterbury I must admit we do have plenty of sunny winter days which helps, but I do suffer from seasonal affective disorder and so my mood does drop coming into winter. We try and hit the Pacific Islands, which is an affordable option from here. Just got back from 2 weeks in Samoa, my favourite of the Pacific Islands. Nice to see you back. ❤
Was that the Kiriwhakapapa trail? It's been years since we went there, but I remember how peaceful and lovely it was. Must get back!
And finally this summer you won't get rained out as the LA Nina has departed and instead you can respect dry sunny days the whole summer round! The grass gets very brown early on in the season so it has its own problems for farmers. But it is pleasant for surfing, swimming and exploring!
welcome home guys 😊
Thank you!
Always good
So glad you haven't got rid of your fireplace. So many have in NZ for heat pumps and pellet fires. Much more efficient to have a fireplace especially if there is a power outage and for the electricity bill
We would never get rid of the fireplace. Love a cozy fire
@@AlexanderAyling so glad to hear
Sure have turned your house and backyard into a good homestead, blending in with the NZ countryside. God bless you both with lotsa aroha/❤
I love your homestead! Woww thats alot of wood.. yes 4 seasons is nice but i wish i could get rid of Winter here..even though last winter we didnt have one that was weird but nice...
Holy crap haven't seen your guys videos for months lol and iv missed a lot. Lots of exciting new ventures in my life and iv been focusing on that and so I get you guys focusing on new things etc. Love your channel and feel we are all on this journey called life together
Welcome back Alejandra 🙏🏼 hope all is well with you and yours 🙏🏼
@@AlexanderAyling yup all good in the hood
Good self care video this year I’m do the same I’ve started eating plant based foods I’m feel and looking better just got back from Alaska I saw Hubbard glacier up close and so many bald eagles
Hey! Great blog! I live in Carterton just wondering where this hike is? Thank you
Stay warm 🤗♥️
Great to see you's home... hope the trip was a good release from all the home renovations.. Why don't get into Maori Medicine Herbal Remedies.. (Rongo) I see you walk pass a lot of plants that Maori use for Natural Healing since you are on a Health crusade since it's all in ur back yard.. 👍
Welcome back ..! 😃
Thank you!
Best way to keep your logburner going overnight? What type of wood are you using? We're also in NZ.
Yes! We have gum and pine.
I’m glad you talked about the redwoods being from California! They sure are impressive, but not native ❤❤❤
As always, i find your appearance you have so much good infio. A natural info 😊both you n wife. Im ailways. Happy. You are good people. We need more like you.
Thank you Myles 🙏🏼
When i first met both of you on the net, i was inspired, motivation indeed
Yeah sadly our older houses were not built for our weather, but I guess it was because of a lack of knowledge then of healthy homes
You should go to northern hemisphere in winter.
Yup! May visit family in the USA
There's no way that hike can be as exciting without the critters back in the States
Lots of birds, nothing that can eat you haha
@@AlexanderAylingYES. I love that the only thing here that ear you are bugs
It’s so relaxing hiking in NZ. As a kiwi living in australia 20 years now, you always have to be very careful where you walk 😊❤ I always feel more relaxed hiking in nz
Im natrual too, im out doors too
How'd you get CA redwoods there?????????????
They planted them :)
They planted them in the early 1900s intending to use them for logging but they then found pine was better. However there are still a few stands that have now grown up to 70m high - they actually grow faster than in California. They only grow well roughly where Alex is and about 2-4 hrs north - the latitude and climate is very similar to the fairly small area they grow in California.
Hey, you and your lovely wife are in our thoughts and prayers!
Financial challenges ahead for all of us, are you in a good and secure position?
I thought you're back with Marko
