Today announced the completed world record sale of a 1948 Buick Roadmaster convertible "custom," named "Lowla" to an undisclosed buyer based in the United Arab Emirates capital city of Abu Dhabi.
The $300,000 paid for the one-of-a-kind automobile built by Startup, Washington-based Divers Street Rods, is believed to be the highest amount ever paid for the particular make and model.

while working at a body shop in Okla. bought two cars one a total well maybe both of them one 1968 Buick GS 400 that car fast fast. two totaled quarters on it. Then a 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertible never took off the lot. ended my days with Willis Nelson's words from one of his records have here. You Can Take This Job and Shove It I Ain't Workin' Here No More. I was a masker that appartley moved to slow for them. It sat on the side of the building with it's top down. Power windows the works. I hope one day someone built that car up. Is happy to see one here done that way. That 68 Buick GS drove on Oklahoma's interstate. Would be driving at about 90 someone would pull up next to me hold their figure up and point straight ahead. I beat them at 125 mph. I was one crazy guy in that car and never wrecked it. But had to get away from it. I showed up at the body shop in a lowrider 1966 Lemans blue original except for the 20 spent lowering it having the springs heated in Cali. Had a Ogga horn on it and white Coveko steering wheel on it about 8 inches. Should of never got rid of that car was the second owner of it.

Sory Chip, I think someone has done you one better. I am floored by this rendition of someone else's design. I can't stop lusting after her.
When it comes to buicks I'm not an expert. However I own a 55 roadmaster 2 door. My buddy owns a 55 special. At a glance the only difference other than his choice of paint is the fact that his has 3 port holes on either side where as my roadmastef has 4 on either side. I don't know of a roadmaster with only 3 port holes.
Hate to mention this but, a Roadmaster was four holes not three. Three was the Special.
Ghetto wheels and fucked up body ... this is one classic my shop could not bring back from the dead 💀
