Everyone should try this mod out. It performs great, it is far more stable than the original mod... it is the perfect port by Papirius. A great new addition to the Rome Remastered mod scene.
One thing I am always impressed by the AI in the Remaster, is that I have always seen them be more inclined to be at peace or be your protectorate if you beat them hard enough. They will do anything possible to just survive and I find it impressive versus other AI in other TW games, so seeing scripts for Forced peace or alliances for a remaster is still warranted because AI being AI will always be unpredictable to some extent.
Amazing this is one of my favorite/earliest mods for this game can I have that play. I haven't been playing the remastered as I wanted to wait for more mods ported over but I check this one out right now
@@GudeaTW With this mod, I only want to play as the SPQR or Sertoriani. It's great to play as one off them. It's 8:20 in the evening here now, I can't wait to play further. It's such a fun game especially to change history as the great general Quintus Sertorius. Or repeat history with Pompey, Caesar, even Cato and Cicero are in the mod. Ow yeah and Lucius Licinius Lucullus, the general that's so underrated imo.
I love this mod, and it's been ported over to the remastered version. I play as the Sertoriani now, and I'm end off turn 3. I conquered Valentia. Also am besieging Nova Carthago, and gonne win that siege easy. Then 2 city's off mine are besieged too. The newly conquered one, and the one between Gades and Nova Carthago. I can handle it. The newly conquered one, if they stay besieging it, I just come back with Sertorius, and the other one there my army is strong enough. Also I started one as Rome but it's just too easy. Once everything is repaired, and you have Hispania back then it's only the 3th servile war, and 3th Mithraderic war and done. Like I said I love to play as Rome but playing as SPQR in this mod is to easy. Playing as Sertoriani is at least somewhat a challenge. And also a Roman faction. A very cool one👍
I installed the mod, checked out the custom battles and saw that most factions have only like 4-5 units for them - is that a bug or are rosters really this small?
It's not a bug, but those aren't the full rosters. It has to do with certain units not being activated for custom battles in the edb. Check campaign for full rosters+aor
@@GudeaTW Good to know! I was scared when I saw that Pontus had like two custom units of its own lol. Thanks for explaining, gonna check the mod again.
If we don’t get another chivalry kirsi high or late campaign update soon I’m taking Jerusalem (in my campaign) 😂 in other words I was trying to play this mod on remastered but I couldn’t get it to work but now I can! Sweet
Oh I just saw it now you covered it. 10 minutes ago I sent you a message explaining this mod. Still, as you said you haven't really played it. The AI (non-sandbox) is terrible in terms of diplomacy, Rome is super OP when played by the AI. Long story short. I play as the Cantabri, the Sertoriani betrays me , Rome, Sertorius and Cantabri we are all at each other s'throat. Then, next turn, Sertoriani and SPQR made peace, another turn later they are allied.I have to fight them both (which I succeeded). But there is a real problem with AI Rome, they can leave barely defended their newly acquiered territories and they will NEVER NEVER EVER rebel. So its frequent to see 30 full stack migrating from anatolia to Italy or Gaul. Somehow the Romans are also immune to ai attacks, the Pontics barely attack them, there is peace treaty between them each turn, same for Armenia. So you have Pontus and Armenia doing nothing while the roman anatolia cities are almost undefended, with only pantodapoi militas. Rome should be attacked by all side everytime. The Roman economy is always booming even if you take them lot of territories, they never experience deficit or debt (while having 30 full stacks of Prima Cohortus Legionarius). The Legionarius upkeep cost around 400 gold each. multiply it by 20 you get 8000 just for them, now imagine many full stacks with more than that . 8000 for 20 legionarius stacks, now with 40. 8000 x 40=240 000!!!!. I get the ai small bonus income but come on this is pure total cheat!Their cities left cannot possibly sustain such high upkeep! Whats next? They can horde?
Nooooooooooooooo ! 😮😮🤣🤣 something in the last 2 updates prevented my saves from even loading so i have to redo an entire campaign. Oh well that's the nature of mods, good luck on any updates.@@GudeaTW

Oh yeah!!! Great, I have been wishing for this. Last played 77 BCE in 2008…
All the FRRE mods are great, need to see the others on Remastered! They are exactly the kind of mods that would benefit a ton from the stability.
@@GudeaTWmost definitely
Seeing all the Roman guys a decade before the narrative I know so well about them is surreal. It's like a season zero flashback of the story.
You should see the sulla mod
Hopefully 58BC and Hannibal Ad Portas get added. Two all time great mods them.
58bc is very similar in structure to this one, so I'd like to see Lucius take a crack at it when he has a chance

That's true, they are better about retreating and accepting defeat
Even if I played many mods on Rome1 back in the day, I didn't knew about this one. Thank you for showing it!
Yes it was lesser known
right, you are credited for a main help! So in this sence: congrats for the Port!
Thank you tartaros! Yes I worked on it a long time ago but got stuck at the script
great to see, one of the best mods for RTW indeed! thanks for covering.
It really is a unique mod, I'll see if I have time for a playthrough

Tons of ports now available... Norman invasion, chivalry, viking invasion 2, Arthurian, barbarian empires, 77bc, aristeia..
@@GudeaTWindeed
Lanjane Barbarian Empires is great. + many mods built just for the Remaster.
This was my favorite mod in original RTW... Can't wait to play it again
Definitely one of my favorites
As what faction do you play? I play as the Sertoriani.
@Kvs-vf9nt try playing as Pontus or Armenia for an interesting challenge

What do u think about Europa Barbarorum unofficial port for Rome Remastered?
Have to check out the updates

Ah nice campaign report! Perhaps some rebalancing can be done
All I wish for now is an Invasio Barbarorum port, especially SAI or Restitutor Orbis.
Perhaps it's in the works...

You're welcome!
Im a bit late, but how long does the 77bc campaign go? Can I play until map domination?
Sure

Yup can't wait to do a playthrough for the channel (currently still working on the Chivalry playthrough which has been very exciting)

Try the latest update
Any chance these ports will ever get graphical updates to the units? If they were made into the new total war style they’d be perfect.
RIS is doing that for that mod, but it's a lot of work. Need volunteers
RTR:IS is pretty-much where all the current talent is, in regards to making new unit models.
There is Danymok's work as well@@PanzerblitzRnR
Can you please do more updates on Chivalry?
Yes as soon as I have time

@@GudeaTWas in video walkthroughs I should’ve said.
Central and Western Europe look pretty empty. He should have just put united gauls and germans. Better that than rebels 😃
With the story scripts it won't feel empty (and of course dynamic things will happen too
The units look terrible
Not as nice as other mods yes
I like this mod for the campaign and setting
