Those shoes have made a comeback, Steve madden released a pair recently, so while I agree with you that they are dated (I even had a pair in the early 90s) they're back again like many trends are.
Im from this area and live in Grand Junction. This area is a big desert and there are atv trails people ride, there is a shooting range out there, and a lot of homeless people will make their camps out there. My work does desert clean up and ive found clothes, trash, needles and mattresses. However, this pond must be really far out there, ive never known of a pond in that area. If it is reallly far into the desert, only ATVs will be going out there, not the homeless people. The fact that there are nothing else much but shoes is pretty creepy.
I also am from and live in this area and have rode dirtbikes in this desert my whole life. There is tons of trash out there but I Have never found of heard of this lake but I can see the background and it is here. Why would there only be shoes and clothes? I’ve got to get out there to look for more answers
That is not a ranch out there, that is BLM land. Yes there is a lot of cow poop because the area is agriculture and the cows may roam back there, but it is not a private owner or ranch that owns that desert area. @randyroy6033 I've never heard of a pond or lake back there either, and it is definitely the bookcliffs!! I am very tempted, but also if it is a crime scene I would hate to accidentally destroy evidence
Same. I’ve lived here most of my life and have not seen the lake. I have done a ton of hiking/4-wheeling in the desert and this has me concerned. There are too many pairs of high heels for this to be a coincidence.
A thought, there are vibrant green tree's all around the pond that are incredibly green in contrast with the shrubs nearby. Dead bodies release nitrogen which helps trees thrives. I would be curious as to if there was anyone buried around/under the tress and if the amount of trees correlated with the amount of missing shoes
I mean, someone planted those trees right? They didn’t just happen to start growing? They all look relatively the same age too. This is getting strange.
@@charliex666able1Never rule anything out. In times of plenty that water may have been wider and deeper. If remains are in what you, I believe rightly, call a mud bog they would either be reduced to bones or oddly preservered as happens under different conditions. For now the main objectives are, investigate below water surface and get forensics working on the shoes for the wealth of information they can still give up.
I'm driving out now to look around, I mean, why not, everything else has been touched, I am quite certain I can't mess it up any worse than it already has been.
I doubt the Sheriff or law enforcement is going to take things seriously. My random thought is contact “Adventures with Purpose”. It’s an independent group that searches for known missing persons. Maybe they might be interested in investigating and just taking a look in that pond to see if they find anything.
All DNA evidence that can be lifted has probably been washed away by water and UV damage though. They'd probably need to search in the pond to find something substantial.
It was already "contaminated." It's outside in the elements. Anyone could have been there over the years. A few extra people aren't going to make a difference.
Maybe try bringing to little lawn flags used by landscapers and marking where you find potential evidence. That way you can look for larger patterns. When taking pictures put a ruler next to the item so you have size references. Look up what a pedestrian survey is, it’s used by archeologist and crime scene investigators. Look for any disturbed ground or disturbed vegetation.
The rocks wrapped in the cloth and wires could've been attached to something larger that was sunk but broke off. Idk how much corrosion is on the wires but just a thought
Wonder if the shirt with rocks could have been used as a weapon. It’s a shame the sheriff department brushed it off at first, glad they’ve decided to take a look.
Thank you for getting this information to the sheriffs department. Hopefully they can figure this out. It would be wonderful if this solved the case for a family’s loved one.
Please continue to investigate... its either bodies out there OR a really old spot people use to party at. My friends and I had a spot from 2003 - 2010 that was a 45 minute walk into the woods...you had to walk. But we'd easily have 100 people out there every graduation. Im pretty sure theres shoes and all kinds of stuff out there. The tradition ended after new property owners took over. That land is so huge I doubt theyve even found where we held the parties yet. Those we good times lol. Some old local probably has stories about that pond.
Also I don’t know if this is helpful but I figured I’d put it out there. As a girl in her late 20s who is very into fashion, I can say the suede knee high boots you found were super popular to wear around 2015-2016. The leather knee high boots you found started becoming popular around 2022 and are even popular now. If I see more shoes throughout this video, I’ll edit my comment and add more relevant dates. Edit: White and black studded heels would have been popular around 2009-2011 (I know it’s a long timeline). I remember wearing almost similar looking loafer version of that heel around that time.
So I went on Colorado’s official missing persons site and there are a number of women who fit this… disappeared from strip clubs, motels or streets late night. There are also many missing women mostly Hispanic who have no pic and no description and no details of clothing they were wearing or circumstances of disappearance. I couldn’t find a pic of a missing women wearing that tee shirt though. However, trafficked women are unlikely to even be reported missing in the state. Women also could have been contacted through backpage ads. Utah is not far from Mesa County & so searching Utah missing women might be a good idea. I think though that missing women should be searched nationally as if they were trafficked, prostitutes at truck stops ie picked up by a trucker & taken to many states where at one they met their killer, they could have been from anywhere not just neighboring states and reported missing elsewhere. they also could be illegals & not reported missing at all.
Definitely. Will be waiting on updates on this one. Please please keep us updated on whatever you hear.No matter how small I just think there's something going on here.....
Wow! This is insane! I saw another creator covering your story on a UA-cam short! Thank you for giving a damn Levi! We have so many missing people in our country and so many cases go cold unfortunately. 😢 It would be so great if you could get someone like underwater recovery or adventures with purpose out there to do a scan of the water! A good start would be even just a low flying drone to do a scan from above to see if anything is visible! I’ll keep an eye out for your updates! Subbed and Notifications 🔔 on! Wish I had a way to help but I’m all the way in Cali!
This seems creepy and very suspect. Thank God you guys found these items for the Authorities to investigate. You guys should keep gloves with you from now on🙏🏽🥰
Maybe if someone has a metal detector it could help. That is really weird stuff. Even the half a t-shirt in a bag with rocks is weird. Why would someone do that except to hide evidence? The whole thing you described is extremely bizarre. I think if you keep looking you will find something you don’t want to see. You could try dredging it but maybe evidence should be preserved if they are investigating it.
It's great to see the cops going to make an investigation. Hopefully it's nothing, but way too many things line up as odd that it should be properly looked into cheers 🍻
Here’s an update on the “Easy Street” pumps. I got a reply today on the shoes from the manufacturer… here it is; I don’t know if you got an answer on Friday, but I was out. “We do not carry that shoe any longer, and they have been sold off years ago. We don’t have anything in Black & White, I’m sorry to say.” Good luck, Sue
Thanks for following up! It is strange, odd and creepy. Rocks wrapped in the T-shirt couples with the shoes makes for a strange coincidence. Thanks again! Pleased LE is now involved.
The fact they found a t-shirt with rocks bound by barbed wire to sink it screams something fishy to me. It's a unique shirt as well. Should be posted so someone coyld possibly identify someone who wore it.
For a strong heel to break off like that … I mean, they were running hard. And that place is so muddy. Even if ppl were partying, they wouldn’t go there dressed like that, one would think
Who owns this land? Sorry if I missed it. Can you check property records to see ownership history? Or is it public land? Will be following along from afar. Good luck!
I’m from Az. I’m assuming this is a ranchers land based off the location of the pond and all the cow poop. They do that so the cattle can go in the water or drink it when they need too. With all the drainage this was 100% a man made pond for cattle.
Thank you so much for caring!! It kills me how the cops blew it off at 1st. So thank you and to the volunteers!! May God bless you all. Don't know how deep it is, but could it be drained? Love from Arizona 🌵
I have to comment that shoes washing up from the lake seems unlikely. These shoes are paired up way to closely together for that to be realistic. Would have to have Very high winds whipping them out of that pond. Weather worn and rain.
the t shirt being cut is rlly suspicious.. i hope if there is something sinister about this it comes to light bc that could be a bunch of ppl needing justice
Hey, I stumbled across your video from someone reacting to it. I would stop touching things without gloves on. You could contact a dog search team- like cadaver dog searching, and tell them what you've found and ask them if maybe they'd want to do a training search around there. I would also get a drone and fly it up to see if you can spot graves maybe dug. If you know someone who uses LIdar they could be of help. There's a youtuber I think out of Utah maybe named Heavydsparks, he could maybe help with resources bc he's helped other possible crime searches. He doesn't make this kind of content but has done things like this.
Levi, do you have an email address I could send information to (it's regarding the shirt), or an email for the person handling this matter for the police department? Thank you.
You should try to call the Grand Junction Police and reference Levi and his videos of the shoes. Someone there should know what you are referring to and can assist.
@@beckyhendon40 Sorry everybody. Since Levi hasn't responded, I contacted the authorities. Pretty sure I know the exact company that shirt came from, but don't want to state it publicly, as any negative press would hurt their business (and I'm not absolutely positive). A few random thoughts/questions to ponder: Levi said it was a small shirt - very few women work in that industry, unless they're in the office (possible secretary, dispatcher, daughter of the owner, etc.). Could it have belonged to a man of smaller stature? Why did the entire right side look like it was jaggedly cut or ripped? There are several beigey/peachy discolorations - blood stains? Rock/mineral stains? If someone wanted a weapon of opportunity, there are thousands of rocks, of various sizes/weights all around - they would not take the time to wrap a few small ones in a t-shirt and bind it with wire. If it was homeless people or kids partying, they would not have gone to that much trouble. That was done to sink evidence.
I have very similar thoughts and opinions about this same shirt situation- I have been wondering the same thing but didn’t want to out the company on here just in case …I am familiar with this company as well. I’m from Boise Idaho and this is in Garden City ID
Definition of a patriot? LEVI. BTW... that tshirt filled with rocks and wrapped with wire greatly resembled a shirt with blood stains that had been washed in bleach water but still had some blood stains on it.
My first thought hearing this and the first vid is a long haul trucker/traveler who lives in the area and picked up women on his runs, violates these women, marches them to the desert and dumps them. These women aren’t all from the same area who have gone missing.
I recently came across an article that stated that the fbi has been investigating murders along highways & they suspect truckers & believe that currently there may be up to 500 serial killers long hauling on Our highways! CRAZY.
Thank god their now investigating. I would have taken a map and pinpointed all the locations of evidence. Then I'd make sure to also take the items and store in a sterile way. That way when the police did investigate you would have saved a lot of time. Good job man.
no, hell no. you don't take anything from a potential crime scene, not even in a sterile bag or with gloves. you mark it and then you get LE to check it out. in case of a conviction, you need the chain of evidence to be flawless. some amateur detective taking shit will give the defense a field day.
@@nobleinthought8019 that's true and I wouldn't normally actually say that but if the police weren't going to investigate taking note of the evidence is very important. Yea mark it on a map and take photos but as its by a lake what would happen if being in the elements means no or less DNA?? I know it's not normal practice. I'd be fearful it would turn into a cold case.
However, Mesa County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Wendy Likes told Newsweek on Thursday that the department has responded to and investigated the reports on three separate occasions and doesn't believe the shoes are related to a crime. "Each time our deputies and investigators responded, the items appeared to be trash and illegal dumping, which is very common in the desert areas here," Likes said. "We also do not have multiple reports of missing females in Mesa County. If we receive further reports, we will respond and investigate as we do with every report of possible criminal activity." - Newsweek
If it's illegal dumping then why is it specifically high heel shoes in different sizes scattered around? Ugh the lack of interest in investigating is frustrating but not surprising. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who left these shoes had a badge.
Next stop, the rest stops. Day, night and midnight and ask questions if any girl/girls got picked up and never returned or Can give any info about tickets that frequent that area
The worst thing is if this is a crime scene, just think of all the evidence that could be getting messed up by all the people walking around messing with things.
The way the shoes aren't all together and matching shoes are found in close proximity to their counter parts, makes me think this is somebody ditching a new pair of shoes on multiple different occasions. Not that it guarantees foul play, but i think it is. If somebody was dumping their extra heels, they'd be in a central location and mix and match, potentially in a garage bag. Also, if it were just people leaving their shoes, there'd be way more dude's shoes. I hope they find remains if this is that type of situation, rather than this just being the spot the killer disposes of shoes for whatever reason. I'd hope there's somebody out there that gets the closure they need. All thanks to Levi for having to take a pee.
Don’t be fuckin ignorant. Those shoes are worn, damn near disintegrated, been in water/mud! There will be a slim chance in hell to get prints or DNA off them. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 gah damn
Good reason to hide some trail cams, in case he comes back! But looking at the date on the shirt and the style of the shoes, I’m betting he dumped them all long ago.
It's amazing that the initial response from the Sheriff's office was that it was "probably nothing." Law enforcement seriously needs to rethink their testing and curriculum before passing people through to hold badges and guns.
This would be driving me crazy wanting to figure it out. I thought rocks in a tshirt kinda weird because I believe Bundy or Green River killer? One of those type serial killers, use to put stones or rocks in his victims. Then later return to "visit" with the bodies. Why rocks in a shirt? Trying to submerge it to hide it? Idk, all of it just seems too weird for it to not be a crime scene or just their "dumping" ground 😞. Remember "odd finds" could possibly hold some DNA or further evidence to aid in investigating a predator and hopefully their ending. Pin finds on a map, gloves and bags in case anything could be extracted from items found. Blood etc can hide in seams, cracks and crevices of things sometimes. cameras (preferably remote if possible) divers or snorkel? That's just too many odd finds. I really hope you find answers. Good luck and stay safe. ✌️❤️💫
Nice work, you’re a great leader. If there is something to find I hope it’s found. Also, there’s a lot of holes out there because it’s a very popular place for rock hounds to mine for barite, just fyi!
This is 100% incredibly suspicious. There’s no good reason anyone would be wearing heels in that desert area and terrain. Those are the type of heels one would wear going out to a club, not everyday casual or business type heels. If those shoes were taken off if someone and dumped there, that almost certainly not their intended destination
@@LunarVision12 Hopefully it gets more viral! This is actually insane, if this is a criminal activity this has to be investigated properly and looked into.
What if it's not a dumping ground, but a kill site. What do women do to run better? They kick off their heels. The shoes are aged differently, which may mean they only use the place once a year or when they get hold of a victim. Hidden trail cams might be something to look into. I'm invested in how this unfolds.
Still crossing my fingers this turns out to be nothing. But I’m not seeing a lot of reasonable explanations yet. Definitely try to get some volunteer divers to check the pond. “Adventures With Purpose” would probably come out to assist.
I have a pretty reasonable explanation I posted as my own comment just today, if you don't mind, I'm gonna paste it: OK just throwing this out there as a potential less nefarious explanation. When I saw that it's always heels, and many varieties, it immediately jumped to my mind that this might be from someone shooting fetish content. High heel boots are the pinnacle of this kind of thing. And believe it or not, getting stuck in the mud is an actual kink, you can find people selling clips online of women in nice heels getting stuck in the mud. There's even a huge UA-cam Playlist called "wet and messy heels" with this kind of content. The fact that it's a remote location makes this perfect for filming this kinda weird stuff in privacy. If you don't believe me look it up if you are an adult.
Keep on it Levi! There is probably many souls out there that need peace & as well as many family members who need closure, & yeah.....im with the the other commenter here who suggested You stay strapped. God bless Ya.

Also possible that flies all land on the moistest item they can find. In this case, a fabric that holds moisture longer.
Think maybe the bone attracts flies?
Is anyone else noticing the shoes are from different time periods too??? Like some seem older styles vs modern ones
I was going to say the exact same thing 😳
That black and white pair for sure
Wear gloves!!!
Those shoes have made a comeback, Steve madden released a pair recently, so while I agree with you that they are dated (I even had a pair in the early 90s) they're back again like many trends are.
I'm guessing they are mostly from the late '90s to early 2000s. They look like they were underwater for a long time when the water level was higher.
Definitely plant some game cameras in remote locations up there.
For what? The location has already been blown.
Definitely not now! lol 😆 he’s probably watch it as we speak
Apparently it is part of a ranch. Who is the owner? Is it Res. land. Coordinates?
@@randyroy6033and ONLY women's shoes.
Just counted, there looks to be 13 trees with a similar vibrancy/ age
Good grief!!! How did you ever know that????
I noticed this immediately.
I mean, someone planted those trees right? They didn’t just happen to start growing? They all look relatively the same age too. This is getting strange.
we need divers in that water asap!!
I’m gonna a guess that pond isn’t more that several feet deep at most? It looks like a mud bog
@@mlj1111bring a metal detector! And gloves! 😅
The water is shallow, and by the end of July the water will be gone entirely.
Try magnet fishing to see if can pull any guns or other identifiable items from the pond.
I doubt the Sheriff or law enforcement is going to take things seriously. My random thought is contact “Adventures with Purpose”. It’s an independent group that searches for known missing persons. Maybe they might be interested in investigating and just taking a look in that pond to see if they find anything.
I was going to suggest them as well.
No mate, that s literally a little pond and anyone could dive easily in it,second of all they dive just for cars of missing people
I definitely believe you are onto something, ill be watching for an update, i wanna know what happens
One of those heel styles the one that was white and blue www very popular in late 80’s early 90’s my mom wore that style to work
I wore similar in the early 90’s - was thinking the same thing. Most of those look like 80s-90s styles.

I appreciate this, but if this becomes a crime scene, I think all the folks pretty much contaminated the area. This is creepy as hell.
Exactly
That's what came to my mind first why are you tampering with potential evidence for Christ sake.
@@dogfaceponysoldier3135cops won’t do anything unless remains r found. Remains won’t b found if no one is looking😔
All DNA evidence that can be lifted has probably been washed away by water and UV damage though. They'd probably need to search in the pond to find something substantial.
It was already "contaminated." It's outside in the elements. Anyone could have been there over the years. A few extra people aren't going to make a difference.
at 6:30 showing the dug up hole there is a 9mm shell casing
WHERE??
Dang, good eye. It's definitely a bullet casing
Top right of screen?
Wow!
You’ve really compromised this area! Should have used marking flags? Touching & moving objects….Amateurs!
Accidentally ran across your first “Short” video and now I’m so intrigued. This is freaky and could be something big. Please keep us updated.
You can definitely tell something is not right here.
The white and black easy street pumps are vintage 80's someone sold a pair on Etsy size 9
I came here from Notthebee. Just showing my support for a concerned citizen doing good work.
It would be so great if you could get someone like underwater recovery or adventures with purpose out there to do a scan of the water! A good start would be even just a low flying drone to do a scan from above to see if anything is visible! I’ll keep an eye out for your updates! Subbed and Notifications 🔔 on! Wish I had a way to help but I’m all the way in Cali!
My guess is the t shirt was wrapped with wire and rocks was an attempt to sink it to the bottom because it's identifiable evidence linked to a victim.
But why not burn it?why sink it?
Very interesting and Just a thought, maybe the items you found are grave markers as some of them are half buried 😮
Im also in a local missing group and they are going to share photos to the group just incase.
Here’s an update on the “Easy Street” pumps. I got a reply today on the shoes from the manufacturer… here it is;
I don’t know if you got an answer on Friday, but I was out.
“We do not carry that shoe any longer, and they have been sold off years ago. We don’t have anything in Black & White, I’m sorry to say.”
Good luck,

Thanks for following up!
It is strange, odd and creepy. Rocks wrapped in the T-shirt couples with the shoes makes for a strange coincidence.
Thanks again!
Pleased LE is now involved.
Oh my gosh my eyes are glued to this story. Y’all be safe up there, and God Bless you from Melbourne, Florida ❤
Thank you!!!! I saw your post on tiktok!!! YOU MADE IT TO THE NEWS!!!
he made it on a news channel?
Thank you for your effort. The tee shirt with rock, was very creepy.
Those rocks tied up in that shirt have potential to be a real nasty makeshift weapon
Yup. The ol’ inmate “lock/rock in a sock” weapon.
Or a makeshift weight
Who owns this land? Sorry if I missed it. Can you check property records to see ownership history? Or is it public land? Will be following along from afar. Good luck!
I’m from Az. I’m assuming this is a ranchers land based off the location of the pond and all the cow poop. They do that so the cattle can go in the water or drink it when they need too. With all the drainage this was 100% a man made pond for cattle.
SO MANY HEELS broken off speaks of vioIence.
The pond needs to be dragged
Thank you so much for caring!! It kills me how the cops blew it off at 1st. So thank you and to the volunteers!! May God bless you all.
Don't know how deep it is, but could it be drained? Love from Arizona 🌵
I have to comment that shoes washing up from the lake seems unlikely. These shoes are paired up way to closely together for that to be realistic. Would have to have Very high winds whipping them out of that pond. Weather worn and rain.
I totally thought that as well..
A lot of the shoes were in the spot where the lake rises. Also, if someone makes the girls take their shoes off beforehand, that would make sense
It’s not a lake, it’s a pond/reservoir. And they didn’t wash up, the water level receded, exposing the shoes. That used to all be under water.
This definitely looks extremely suspicious. Well done bringing it to light. I hope you find answers.
the t shirt being cut is rlly suspicious.. i hope if there is something sinister about this it comes to light bc that could be a bunch of ppl needing justice
As a species we are truly morbid in our curiosity
What about the shirt? 👀
How can you leave us hanging like that lol
This is just wild, absolutely fascinating!!
Definition of a patriot? LEVI. BTW... that tshirt filled with rocks and wrapped with wire greatly resembled a shirt with blood stains that had been washed in bleach water but still had some blood stains on it.
It looks like a dumping ground for a serial killer
😊
Or several criminals.
Ya ..though could b a distraction..
@@nobleinthought8019 also....calm down. Hahah
If we receive further reports, we will respond and investigate as we do with every report of possible criminal activity."
- Newsweek
SO WHAT!! You have no missing persons reported in your county....that doesn't mean there aren't missing persons from other counties or even states!!!
If it's illegal dumping then why is it specifically high heel shoes in different sizes scattered around? Ugh the lack of interest in investigating is frustrating but not surprising. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who left these shoes had a badge.
@@mumemicI’ve thought the same thing since the beginning
Next stop, the rest stops. Day, night and midnight and ask questions if any girl/girls got picked up and never returned or Can give any info about tickets that frequent that area
There is a diver who volunteered to come there, in the comments on TT, there are high chances that there is something in the water
The worst thing is if this is a crime scene, just think of all the evidence that could be getting messed up by all the people walking around messing with things.
Scott Kimball? Aren't they still looking for a few of his victims bodies in that exact area?
Levi you should try magnet fishing in the pond. Heavy duty magnet on a rope. Maybe you’ll find something
How many women are missing in Western Colorado? Anyone know.
I just looked up missing persons from 2000 to 2023 in Colorado. There's 383 open cases. That includes men too, but most are women.
Never touch potential evidence!
Don’t be fuckin ignorant. Those shoes are worn, damn near disintegrated, been in water/mud! There will be a slim chance in hell to get prints or DNA off them. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 gah damn
Serious contamination of a potential crime scene. I am disappointed none of you wore gloves.
An area that is not under surveillance, if a person who committed a crime sees people are investigating they will try clean the zone
Exactly. Publicizing this did more harm than good.
Good reason to hide some trail cams, in case he comes back! But looking at the date on the shirt and the style of the shoes, I’m betting he dumped them all long ago.
Or they'll never return to that location
Any do a deep dive on the origins of that t shirt?
Those black and white shoes with the name "Easy Street" are spectator style likely around the 1980s

What if it's not a dumping ground, but a kill site. What do women do to run better? They kick off their heels. The shoes are aged differently, which may mean they only use the place once a year or when they get hold of a victim. Hidden trail cams might be something to look into. I'm invested in how this unfolds.
Gloves should be mandatory during searches wwwtttffff
Still crossing my fingers this turns out to be nothing. But I’m not seeing a lot of reasonable explanations yet. Definitely try to get some volunteer divers to check the pond. “Adventures With Purpose” would probably come out to assist.
Adventures with purpose is currently still wrapped up in a r*pe case and the staff all left the guy because he is a r*pist.
Those guys work with local Sheriff depts., a lot of equipment, and experience!
I have a pretty reasonable explanation I posted as my own comment just today, if you don't mind, I'm gonna paste it:
OK just throwing this out there as a potential less nefarious explanation.
