the fact that Andy jr goes upstairs after JUST talking to his dad and comes back down but his dad died while he was away for all of 5 minutes..... that's heartbreaking
What if "You got a friend in me" is a conversation between Andy and Andy Jr.. A way to tell people some of the backstory without 100% telling it or stating it.
The whole prototype thing makes sense too. The marketing team probably didn’t have the time to make Woody’s gun, so the prototype just had an empty holster.
Oh man and the end of Toy Story 3 already makes me cry. It makes me cry and I can count the number of movies I've cried for on one hand. I'm going to be outright sobbing the next time I watch this movie. I'll be lucky if I can look at Woody without tearing up.
So that’s why Woody says at the end of Toy Story 3, “So long. . . partner” because he thought that Andy, was young Andy’s father. It fits in perfectly.
Zhared Field it’s fine I didn’t either Bc it’s amazing but I don’t like how they keep it or don’t change anything like say it was confirmed to be fake so people think it’s real but it’s not
In Toy Story 3, Andy choose Woody as his old toy to go college with him instead of Buzz, because Woody was the most precious, meaningful gift toy from Andy's father before he died and suffered from polio. So, Andy decided choose Woody to go to college, to keep his dad's memories alive and never fade. Well , this explains it all..... *BUT BONNIE RUINED IT*
Personally I think the writers made it worse (I’m not so sure) I mean, if the fourth movie never existed or not needed then it wouldn’t be Bonnie’s fault (yes but not exactly)
God... that just makes Andy's reaction when handing over Buzz and Woody at the end of 3 (spoilers, I guess) just... so MUCH more heartbreaking. It's a piece of his father he's giving away. Possibly the last piece he has. But, at the same time, he's probably been told about how his father grew up poor, and seeing that little girl he was struck by it, even if just subconsciously.
If true, I'm having a hard time accepting that Andy jr would give these toys away even if the little girl seemed so deserving. I'd be like, "Sorry little girl, these are my fathers treasured toys he gave me mere minutes before he died. MY kids are the ones getting these in the future." But that's just me.
@@kumbawolf Same I would do that I don't care if they cry...I MEAN GIRL THESE ARE MY DEAD DAD'S TOYS! Plus what makes me more mad is that Bonnie put her name over Andy jr's dad's name!!
It also shows why Andi was so happy on his first birthday with Woody, he was his best friend and probably felt like his Dad was with him through Woody. Why he was extremely sad when he lost him in the first film, why he didn't dare bring him to cowboy camp when his arm got ripped in the second, and why he wanted to keep his toy Woody even as an adult and take him to college in the third. And then......FRICKIN BONNIE!!!!! JUST LOST HIM.....IN THE FOURTH FILM!!!!😡😡😡
Andy:"noooo you can't just lost Woody!! He is very special to me !! My father gave it to me !!" Bonnie:"lol who's Woody ? Anyways check out that new toy I made using a plastic fork and an old chewing gum"
If Andy sees his dad through Woody and toys become sentient through a child's love, this explains why Woody is so protective of Andy (and Bonnie) and ensuring that the toys making them happy are safe.
Not quite. If he hasn't seen one, that means nothing about knowing if time has passed or not. "Ages" could just mean he hasn't seen one since Andy Junior started playing with him.
At the end of Toy Story 3, Andy, all grown up, explains to Bonnie, the little girl that, "I'm going away now" and he needs someone very special to play with these toys. Maybe this is what Andy's father told him when he was about to die. i.e. "going away"
Wow this got dark. Like what if Andy (Jr.) actually remember his dad saying this but like just the lines “I’m going away now” and said to his sister what he remembered
I feel like this explains why Andy was so protective of Woody when he found him. It also makes the last scene in Toy Story two where he says "so long, partner" so much sadder. He is literally saying goodbye to his fathers last gift to him.
Guys, you're missing the point. Andy Sr. tells Andy Jr. that the things in the trunk were something special to him during his childhood. The toys become special to Andy Jr. during his childhood and he passes them to down in Toy Story 3 to become the special thing in the little girls life. Those toys made Andy happy during his sickness and they made Andy Jr. happy during a time of mourning. Andy Jr. passes them down to share the happiness he got from them. Sharing the the joy he got from them makes him a happier person just before moving on just it made his father happier before moving on. Or am I just crazy? Please, if I am wrong correct me, but Toy Story is about sharing the joy you get from your favorite things instead of hanging on to them in a selfish manner.
Kevin Miller toy story three is about that, certainly, but the first toy story film is about being there for your kid when they need you, and doing things to make them happy. The second toy story film, on the other hand, is about standing by your child until they outgrow you, knowing that you can't stop them from growing up, but there's nothing you would rather do than to see it happen every step of the way.
This certainly explains why, at the end of 3, he talks about the toys like they are real (and yeah I know they actually ARE real but not to him they weren't) and as if saying goodbye to life long friends. I also thought that it was a bit weird. Yeah chastise if you want, I didn't like the ending to Toy Story 3. The way he talks in that scene about a bunch of toys!?! You're 18 man, grow up! But if they were his late farther's, that makes a bit more sense. Still though he talks that way about toys his farther didn't own, so I still think that's a bit odd.
Kevin Miller Thank you so much. I was about to complain about him giving it to Mollie but I read your comment and it changed my view. I thank you very much
@@laurabrn11 no it isn’t funny to them. Is there something wrong with your mind? The reason why is because they mostly target towards kids but the heartbreaking scenes relate to adults. That’s a good thing about Pixar
The part about Andy Sr. crawling out to the yard to retrieve his favorite toys gives me goosebumps. It’s such a powerful visual and gives those toys a whole new meaning in the movies. Pixar needs to make this movie, or at the very least acknowledge this story.
Darth Purple the other person was just continuing on what Ms potato head says in Toy Story 2 bloopers. Ms potato head gives Mr potato head a key and a yo-yo

*mind blown* As a writer, there is nothing I respect more than writers who complete the backstories of all their characters, even if the information is never used in the story or belongs to a (storywise) insignificant character. This is the work of a true artist, who I genuinely feel is able to bring the greatest truth to their characters in their writing. Because they truly know them, inside and out. MAD respect. ✊ Also, thanks so much for this video. The origin story is depressing but also beautiful! Just in awe...
IN-MOVIE EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THIS! In Toy Story 2 when Al tries to buy Woody at the garage sale, Andy's mom tells Al that Woody is an "old family toy." If it was just her son's toy, then she would have probably just said it's her son's and not called it old. Also, when comparing the handwriting originally on Woody to the handwriting on Buzz or Jessie, it's noticeably different.
@@richieosborn2639 I don't think he actually does. He just says that Woody is in good condition. If their was only one of something out there, wouldn't your biggest fear be that when you finally found it, it would be in horrible condition?
This origin story is pure genius. I love Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Just hearing this origin story completely ties and answers EVERYTHING. Even though when I was little, I never really acknowledged Andy’s dad’s presence in the movies, but just after watching this video...it really blew my mind. The creators and writers of Pixar are GENIUSES. I love their movies ever since I was a baby. They’re just...ah, so good. Love those guys so much.
i want a fourth movie that has the toys learning this. having woody and the other for the first time questioning their loyalties and thinking back to what the previous villains had said. then going on a long quest to find their creators to prove their existence has meaning only to learn that their creators and the factory are gone and that everything they knew a lie. then someone unexpected teaches them that its important to be loyal to whoever owns you cause they care about you and thats what matters. and i want to see one of the toys from the first few films die saving the others.
It also kinda explains something I've always wondered. Why Andy and Molly were sharing a room in such a large home? Guess it was because it was just an extended stay and not their house.
This explains Woody’s fear of being thrown away- it’s a reoccurring theme throughout all the movies. He even has a nightmare about it at the beginning of 2 🤯🤯🤯🤯
It also explains why he's so attached to andy He spent a lot of time with Andy's father who was poor and didnt have many toys and especielly after they were all burned. So a new expensive toy comes in and does all these things he can't and seeing the boy who relied on him for all of this time start pushing him aside Makes complete sense that woody was frustrated
I think the writer passing away when he did fills in a lot of gaps and problems I had about the 3rd and 4th movie. If the writers of those movies had know this information, I feel like Andy would have never given Woody to Bonnie. He not only had physical value but sentimental. Even if he was ignorant to the fact that Woody was one of a kind he would never had given slinky dog, Mr. potato head and Woody. I know I would have kept them as a keep sake my whole life, just because it was from my dad, if it was me.
Woody being a gift from Andy’s Dad explains why he was so hesitant on giving Woody away in Toy Story 3. But Andy gave Woody to Bonnie because Bonnie liked Woody, for her to play with him (Woody). But in Toy Story 4 Bonnie’s love for Woody seems to have vanished.
@@MinisDunyasi5 I think that your statement about how Bonnie's love for Woody having vanished is true, and is the main reason for why he acts the way he does in the fourth movie. Woody isn't used to the idea of not being his kid's favorite toy, this has been shown very clearly in the first movie, too, and while it didn't last for long while Andy owned him, it was something that he had to cope with throughout the fourth movie. And looking at all the evidence we got about this, such as Andy having gotten Woody from his dad and Bonnie being a girl, it makes sense why she would eventually start to lose her feelings for him that she had when she first got Woody
Additional explanation about Polio, after I did a little research. The reason why a Polio patient's possessions had to be burned is because the virus can spread from person to person. Why doesn't Andy contract Polio after inheriting his dad's toys, Woody, Slinky, and Potato Head? The Poliovirus can only last for two months outside the body. The toys having been locked away for years as young Andy grew up, the virus, by the time Andy inherits the toys, will have expired. Also, that trunk that Andy opens to find the toys is the same trunk we see in the films.
@@majormana1 Maybe that's why Andy and his mom where so impressed with her walking on her own in the end of the 2nd film? She was showing signs of not having her father's illness.
For the happiness of another...A little little girl, wanting to pass on his *own* happiness that his father gifted him with the toy(s)...It’s possible and understandable:) some people may want to hang on to those momentums, and others would be more willing to let go, and have those that they loved be lived on through a more deeper and meaningful way.
What is interesting about polio is how it affects nerves and muscle tissue. In the photo where Andy senior wears glasses you may notice his head is semi tilted. This is because the secondary polo symptoms are progressing slowly. He is mostly crippled. He sees the camera and he is attempting to move his head enough for the photograph to see him and not his wheelchair. Even J said Andy crawled towards the pile where his toys were to be burned. This is because his legs are disfigured. It won't be until after his treatment he will gain a wheelchair which he is most likely sitting in as he gives the key to Andy. The burden from his heart and weak hand is lifted as he hands his son the key. Knowing he has passed on his most prized possessions he leans back and drifts off to the other side.
GryffinclawGymGirls 09 look at Up. That was sad opener yet it felt real and it was told in a way where it still was able to be for kids. Elli couldn't have kids after they painted that room, they never got to take the trip they always wanted, and she died. They showed all this without any dialogue and it was beautiful.
"Here's a key. I don't know what it is for but you'll never know." Mrs. Potato Head (Toy Story 2) What if that was actually the key to Andy Sr's (and now Jr's) toy box?
Yeah like after Andy jr got the key fdom his dad and opened the box then he got the special toys and he put the key inside of mr. Potatoe head for safe keeping!!?? Or like maybe yeah mrs. Potatoe head found it in some cabinet or something but yeah it probably is!
@@kylerbelshaw7042 well no because she left him in the closet for what seems like a while and Andy SPECIFICALLY told her to take good care of him(i.e. dont leave him in a closet)
Nikki Blake Well, yes and no. She wasn’t taking care of him, but it wasn’t happening for that long. The other toys in the closet with Woody say that this it was the third time that week that Bonnie wasn’t playing with Woody. So, she was still playing with him, just not as much. Which actually makes sense as most kids tend to cycle through their toys over time. But yeah, I didn’t like Bonnie in TS4 either 😑 Not because she wasn’t playing with Woody much anymore, more so because they made her more immature and frankly annoying. In TS3, Bonnie’s character is great because she may be a kid, but she’s a mature kid. She takes good care of her toys, she acts pretty grown up for her age (not whiny or bratty). In TS4, she neglects her toys (at least when Forky comes around) and then whines and mopes when she can’t find him. Not to mention she leaves her backpack in the antique store right after her parents reminded her to not forget her backpack. My guess as to why they made her so neglectful of Woody was to provide a better reason for him to go with Bo. Because if Bonnie still played with him a lot, it would seem awful for Woody to just abandon his kid because he still has goo goo eyes for Bo.
I doubt he knew Andy Sr had the toy. If you listen to the timeline, it seems like Andy Sr gets sick right when he gets it. Also, I don't think Andy's mom knew who Al was.
dunno if anyone thought of this but... in toy story 2, when woody's arm was ripped and he got shelved, he has a nightmare of Andy throwing him away because he was broken, and he "didnt want to play with him anymore," it has just been confirmed that woody was once truly thrown away even though he doesnt remember it, since he was "asleep" or had just not yet "came to life," he doesnt exactly remember it. It could just be a little hint from the writers if they had known about the story gaps (which i dont think they did), or woody sub consciously was awake in some way?
If they ever make this prequel movie, I hope Tom Hanks is cast to be the voice of adult Andy Sr. That way, I believe, that Andy’s Dad can be present in the later movies as him looking out for his son through Woody. Also, if Tom Hanks is cast as adult Andy Sr. We the audience can see why in Andy Jr.’s imagination Woody is portrayed the way he is, because Andy Jr. admires his father through Woody.
Oh my god, this actually fixes a big issue I had in Toy Story 3. Because in 2, Andy's mom says Woody's an old family toy, so he either belonged to Andy's father or grandfather, so in 3 when they're all freaking out about being forgotten, it always bugged me that Woody was never like "It's cool guys, I've been through this before, he'll give us to his kid, it's all good. Don't even trip, dawg." because at that point, we're under the impression Woody has had previous owners. But this fixes that, it explains why Woody is trying to calm them all down but never states firmly that this has happened before. So if all of that is true, and I commend Mike for remembering all of that cause that is a lot to take in , it totally solves that issue for me.
Having Woody, Slinky, and Mr. Potato Head survive getting burned with the other toys by Andy's dad kinda makes you rethink about that furnace scene in Toy Story 3. What must've been playing through their heads...
This explains why Woody is so confused about the other toys being scared of getting replaced. Andy Sr died around 1-2 years before Toy story 1 based off Molly’s age, which means Woody has only spent 2-4 Christmases/Birthdays with Andy Jr. When Andy Sr was a child, he probably didn’t get much considering how poor his parents were, meaning the fear of getting replaced was virtually nonexistent.
I had to check because if they were the same i wouldn't believe this theory but it so different to the point it surely cant be the same person's handwriting.
It's supposed to be like that because Andy got Woody when he was younger so Andy's handwriting improved (Ex. Your handwriting is probably much better than it was when you were in Kindergarten)
Honestly Woody should break up with Bo Peep and then after Bonnie gets attacked by Andy he uses his college maths to do a breakout of jail. When Woody is escaping, he runs into Sid. Sid remembers the terrifying memory of Woody and he kills him.
Frankthetankk I don't know if I want to believe Mike Mozart lied to us...he's such a nice guy. He did say that Joe Ranft never really told anyone else about this story.
Sam J. I believe Mike Mozart because I read somewhere that Pixar gave a backstory to every single character in the movie even the pizza delivery man. So there's so much we don't know about the movie.
@@T-Dawg75 And Toy Story 4 it's said consistently that Andy was his 1st kid, Bonnie his 2nd. For years, I was like "How is Woody a rare toy from the 50s, but Andy was a kid in the 90s is his first played with kid, yet has no memories of being in a store for years and years?" And then I finally stumbled upon this video.
im pretty sure this was mentioned in another video they did about toy story where they discussed his missing gun but unfortunately i can't remember exactly what they said
Why did college Andy give woody and the rest of his toys to the toddler if it held such a memory? It was literally the last thing he was given by his dad...
Julia Vladimirovich i think it's his way of moving past the tragedy of his fathers death. leaving the toys for a new owner allows him to let go of old painful memories.
Andy: Being a kind adult, hoping the last memory of his father is being well taken care of. Me: Hears this story Also me: "My Heart" Also me 1 second latter: *"BONNIE IS THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"*
That alone is enough for an entire movie. I would LOVE to see a Toy Story prequel (it could be advertised as an origin story), but I'm thinking the only reason they wouldn't is because it would be too freakin sad for the kids. Like, I know that Pixar adds plenty of sadness to their movies, but that's usually limited to a few scenes. This story would be mostly one sad thing after another. If they made it, it would be the saddest movie in Pixar history thus far, but I'm dying to watch it!
I remember watching Toy Story on tv, then at the bottom of the screen. It says they didn’t have money to animate Andy’s dad, but I like this story better.
@@TJSpyke LITERALLY EVERYONE KNOWS THAT TOY STORY IS FICTIONAL. WE CAN HAVE EMOTIONS FOR A MOVIE WHETHER ITS REAL OR NOT. THANKS FOR POINTING IT OUT, SHERLOCK

With an understanding of Pixar Theory and the concept of memory, it's most likely that Woody didn't just have a seamless transition from Andy Sr. To young Andy, but with the father's death, memories of Woody had died. His life potentially reset during his stay in the box.
This video totally changed the history of my childhood. I hope that Pixar confirms this story. It's such a beautiful story about what happens to Andy's dad and why the bond between Andy and Woody is so strong and beautiful, which also makes the ending of Toy Story 3 more emotional and heart breaking but beautiful seeing Andy pass down part of his childhood and the last reminder of his father to Bonnie. Seeing the trust that Andy has for Bonnie to let her keep Woody is amazing and shows that Andy has really matured and is finally accepting his father's passing. :'-) Thank you, Joe Ranft for this incredible history with Woody, Andy, and Andy's dad. RIP.
My cousin sat next to a guy from Pixar on a plane and he was the guy that did the voice of Ross from Monsters Inc and the sketch of the slinky dog from Toy Story and the voice of the stingray teacher in Finding Nemo!
WOW. Even if that isn't legit, even if it's all made up mumbo jumbo to troll us all... It's one of the most perfect confirmed yet unconfirmed fan theories I have ever heard. Mind BLOWN.
@@TJSpyke Andrew's only evidence is his claim of "I was there", problem is Mike Mozart was also there when Joe (head story writer) told him this story. So it comes down to who do you believe. The actual animation within the films support Mikes story more than Andrews denial of it. AKA Andy's glasses, empty moving van, the absent father, empty gun holster and the pure love a 90's child has for an old toy from the 1950s.
Official cannon or not, Pixar needs to approach Mike for the rights to his version and hire him to write a script of this narrative and make a prequel. Prequels are the hot thing now so it would be a great move.

@@yusef316 exactly. I HATED how toy story ended.
Yato is my life line I hate bonnie. But I love the ending, bo and woody are great and woodies time is up
when woody steps in toy story 2 on a record player he says "oh i haven t seen one of those in ages!'' which kinda proves this theory even more.
Actually, it doesn't because, as the theory says, Woody doesn't know that time has passed.
Not quite. If he hasn't seen one, that means nothing about knowing if time has passed or not. "Ages" could just mean he hasn't seen one since Andy Junior started playing with him.
Yeah and he knows at least some time has passed since he grew up some time with Andy watching him grow up
andrew stanton said the theory is false, so just leave this theory,
uhohwawh dam you smart
At the end of Toy Story 3, Andy, all grown up, explains to Bonnie, the little girl that,
"I'm going away now"
and he needs someone very special to play with these toys. Maybe this is what Andy's father told him when he was about to die.
i.e. "going away"
Wow this got dark. Like what if Andy (Jr.) actually remember his dad saying this but like just the lines “I’m going away now” and said to his sister what he remembered
And then she never plays with him and lets him "get lost" at the end of toy story 4. Bonnie is sweet but Andy>Bonnie
Just archie 😳 (gasp!) 😭😭😭😭
* cries *
So you're saying Andy Jr also dies?
I feel like this explains why Andy was so protective of Woody when he found him. It also makes the last scene in Toy Story two where he says "so long, partner" so much sadder. He is literally saying goodbye to his fathers last gift to him.
Okay, who’s cutting onions?
you mean toy story 3, but yeah
@@GavinsBazaar313 O ya, sorry.
YES
Kevin Miller Thank you so much. I was about to complain about him giving it to Mollie but I read your comment and it changed my view. I thank you very much
Kevin Miller Your point makes total sense! ;)

ua-cam.com/video/naH4CFtqj5o/v-deo.html
@@laurabrn11 no it isn’t funny to them. Is there something wrong with your mind? The reason why is because they mostly target towards kids but the heartbreaking scenes relate to adults. That’s a good thing about Pixar
That explains why Andy is so distraught when he realizes that his mom threw away Woody and the rest during ts3
Christopher Freeman If I'm remembering correctly, his mom also looked upset.
This really explains why Andy is so attached
The part about Andy Sr. crawling out to the yard to retrieve his favorite toys gives me goosebumps. It’s such a powerful visual and gives those toys a whole new meaning in the movies. Pixar needs to make this movie, or at the very least acknowledge this story.

that also explains why woody was in such good condition.
Al also states that he had seen other Woody dolls, but they were in bad condition.
Even though when I was little, I never really acknowledged Andy’s dad’s presence in the movies, but just after watching this video...it really blew my mind. i want a fourth movie that has the toys learning this. having woody and the other for the first time questioning their loyalties and thinking back to what the previous villains had said. then going on a long quest to find their creators to prove their existence has meaning only to learn that their creators and the factory are gone and that everything they knew a lie. then someone unexpected teaches them that its important to be loyal to whoever owns you cause they care about you and thats what matters. and i want to see one of the toys from the first few films die saving the others.
It also kinda explains something I've always wondered. Why Andy and Molly were sharing a room in such a large home? Guess it was because it was just an extended stay and not their house.
Does this explain why Woody has a holster but no gun? Because he's a prototype?
He actually never had a gun you can see his video on why he dose not have a gun
Maybe the other Andy lost it
This explains Woody’s fear of being thrown away- it’s a reoccurring theme throughout all the movies. He even has a nightmare about it at the beginning of 2 🤯🤯🤯🤯
That must of represented what happened
And a deleted scene from the first film.
It also explains why he's so attached to andy
He spent a lot of time with Andy's father who was poor and didnt have many toys and especielly after they were all burned. So a new expensive toy comes in and does all these things he can't and seeing the boy who relied on him for all of this time start pushing him aside

Yes and he couldve gave it to his own future kids
Also, the name "Andy" written on buzz and woody's foot are different. Woody has a backwards "N" and looks like a child wrote it.
Ruben Young always figured it was cause he was older by the time Buzz enters, like it better this way though.
and maybe the N was wrote backwards because of his weak hand from the polo

Omg YES
Exactly what ive been thinking!

Andy died
This would also explain why Woody is Andy's favorite toy.
EXACTLY!
ALSO, by the 90s kids were vaccinated to not get Polio, so even if they were contagious still, they would have had no effect
Andy would've been vaccinated there was molcule of chance as Molly wouldn't have been yet in 1 her to get polio though clear virus had died in box
Andy was likely vaccinated by then considering that Toy Story 1 takes place in the 90's and polio vaccines were widely distributed by then
@@majormana1 Maybe that's why Andy and his mom where so impressed with her walking on her own in the end of the 2nd film? She was showing signs of not having her father's illness.

Faith SJ the girl wanted it so andy gived her it and told her take care of it .
@Put Waluigi in Smash Ultimate he might still have his father's key for the trunk that Woody slinky and Mr.Potatohead was in
For the happiness of another...A little little girl, wanting to pass on his *own* happiness that his father gifted him with the toy(s)...It’s possible and understandable:) some people may want to hang on to those momentums, and others would be more willing to let go, and have those that they loved be lived on through a more deeper and meaningful way.
This also explains the holster because if it was a prototype then they might not have made Accessories
YASSSSSS
That was deep
Or he could just be looking with his head tilted at the camera.

@@nikkiblake9505 finally, someone who actually watched the movie.
Toy Story 4 ruined the whole three Toy Story movies for me.
Omg it also explains why Al wanted Woody so much as he was jealus of Andy Sr

even though he doesnt remember it, since he was "asleep" or had just not yet "came to life," he doesnt exactly remember it. It could just be a little hint from the writers if they had known about the story gaps (which i dont think they did), or woody sub consciously was awake in some way?

Why did college Andy give woody and the rest of his toys to the toddler if it held such a memory? It was literally the last thing he was given by his dad...
Julia Vladimirovich gotta let go
that's sad fam
Julia Vladimirovich i think it's his way of moving past the tragedy of his fathers death. leaving the toys for a new owner allows him to let go of old painful memories.
Actually Woody was supposed 2 go in the attic
Julia Vladimirovich so the toys can still be played with
This made my cry more than the Toy Story movies did! What an amazing back story! Anyone else finally feel complete after all these years?
Me too :)
I had to go tell my dad straight away (a toy story lover- him fav movie
Stefan Buchala I wanted to cry but I didn't because I no longer feel human emotion.
Same. Still choked up. Damn this is a great story!
Stefan Buchala yes, such a great story
Spinge Bill I didn't cry. But then again I'm not a crier.
Andy: Being a kind adult, hoping the last memory of his father is being well taken care of.
Me: Hears this story
Also me: "My Heart"
Also me 1 second latter: *"BONNIE IS THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"*
That might also explain why Woody doesn't have a gun. It was just a prototype :O
ClearlyElemental Andy’s dad is also dying to watch it
Make it a short
I said this before the 4th story should be based on Andy's senior's life and should just be titled Andy
May Flower at the he got kill by his clone
Yeah, like Pixar movies are for kids lol everyone knows that half the audience are adults and adults that seen toy story as a kid
Rewatching this after Toy Story 4 and now i'm even angrier at Bonnie.
Mia Coats same
Mia Coats wheres bonnie ?
@@Mrnahfr the little girl that Andy gave all of his toys to
I Kno right
I havent seen Toy story 4 and I really dont mind spoilers but why are you angry at Bonnie what did she do?.... I DONT MIND SPOILERS.
I remember watching Toy Story on tv, then at the bottom of the screen. It says they didn’t have money to animate Andy’s dad, but I like this story better.
Well yeah Mike said the origin was told to him AFTER 2 so there's a chance Joe Ranft thought it up after 1 to explain certain things
This makes Toy Story 3 and 4 more heartbreaking....
It's fake though. That's not my opinion either, Andrew Stanton (who co-wrote every Toy Story movie) has said that this story is false
@@TJSpyke LITERALLY EVERYONE KNOWS THAT TOY STORY IS FICTIONAL. WE CAN HAVE EMOTIONS FOR A MOVIE WHETHER ITS REAL OR NOT. THANKS FOR POINTING IT OUT, SHERLOCK
@@teamricexx I never said you can't have emotions, all I said was that this "theory" is false (and that's confirmed by the cocreater of the movies)
You do know that they CO wrote it mike could honestly be the only one he ever told and Andrew got upset and denied it sense it’s someone who get nominated for an Oscar
"The thing that makes Woody special is he'll never give up on you...ever...he'll be there for you, no matter what."
-Andy (as he hands over Woody to Bonnie)
mrsbellagoth Knowing this story now makes me cry even more during that scene.
maybe Andy sr said that to Andy jr right before he died....
"The thing that makes the toy in the chest special is that he'll never give up on you...ever...he'll be there for you, no matter what."
:''O how sad would it be if that's the last thing Andy sr said to Andy jr
mrsbellagoth ah that's deep
I didn't know what it meant back when it released. Ah the feels
TheGamingCabit That gave me chills.
+TheGamingCabit - I have a mote of dust in my eye. I'm just wiping the dust away - I'm not crying :,,,,,,(
I wasn't planning to cry today.
Same😢 trying not to cry, it is really hard
With an understanding of Pixar Theory and the concept of memory, it's most likely that Woody didn't just have a seamless transition from Andy Sr. To young Andy, but with the father's death, memories of Woody had died. His life potentially reset during his stay in the box.
I never knew I needed a Toy Story prequel as much as I do now. I need dad's story asap!
Wow mind blown, this is great, this doesn't even ruin the movies they make them much more perfect and give me more sentimental value to the movies
exactly!
Jassy AS iiii
RIP.
Key'Shawn Watkins it's not a theory
Key'Shawn Watkins Pixar unfortunately can't confirm
the theory because the only man that knew about this Joe is dead!
Fran Ivan Mataković you do understand joe probably talked about it durring dailys and other meetings durring production
It may not be a theory, but it is a fact.
I know. :'-( This is what makes his story even sadder.
This story about Andy's Dad is so heartfelt but i love that we finally know what happened to him
Rest in peace Joe Ranft & Andy Sr.
My cousin sat next to a guy from Pixar on a plane and he was the guy that did the voice of Ross from Monsters Inc and the sketch of the slinky dog from Toy Story and the voice of the stingray teacher in Finding Nemo!
Rae Stanza wow awesome he’s lucky
Bob Peterson?
That’s actually really lucky.
Rae Stanza holy shit! You have one lucky cousin!
did he ask him any questions about the pixar theory or universe?
WOW. Even if that isn't legit, even if it's all made up mumbo jumbo to troll us all... It's one of the most perfect confirmed yet unconfirmed fan theories I have ever heard. Mind BLOWN.
ANDYS DAD IS DEAD
but toy story 4 tho...
Andrew Stanton, who wrote every Toy Story movie, has said this story is not true
Mumbo jumbo afk I’m gonna take that mustache away
Bill Keith The First Purge is an example of this.
Didn't Andy's Mom mention that Woody was an "old family toy".
