"The Revival's Dads vs The Young Bucks' Dads"
Golden
Funny he says that when Facially,
Michaels and Janetty look NOTHING Like Matt & Nick!
@@BigTiger_99 You're right. Marty and Shawn actually look like grown men. As opposed to the Bucks who somehow look middle aged and pre pubescent at the same time. But he was referring more to what each team styled themselves after.
The Rockers aren't vanilla midgets and their moveset contains more than highspots and superkicks
It's not exactly forgotten but Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins vs The Bar from No Mercy 2017 is an underrated gem
Dude that late 2017 period when we were getting new day vs usos on smackdown and the bar vs the shield and the hardyz on raw felt like the resurgence of tag team wrestling in wwe, too bad it was short lived.
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins had quite a few bangers in their short run as a team. Their match vs the Bar and again on Raw and their match vs McIntyre and Ziggler from HiaC 2018 spring to mind. 2018 was a quietly great year for tag team wrestling
UE vs Lorcan and Burch is still my favourite opener in Takeover history. Its so excellent. Oney turns in a masterful performance. Lorcan and Burch never getting a proper run with the belts (their only run constantly made them feel like afterthoughts) is one of the biggest missteps in NXTs otherwise glorious tag team history.
It's one of the many matches that make me think (and people will probably hate me for this) that Kyle/Roddy representing UE>Red Dragon, at least/especially when looking exclusively Kyle & Fish's NXT run.
@@carbone172 100% agree. I love Fish to death but O'Reilly/Strong is the single greatest tag team reign in NXT (and maybe WWE) history.
Burch and Lorcan's whole heel run was pointless. They finally get the belts just because they haven't held them yet.
I prefer thier match with AOP. It sold me on O'Reilly as a potential singles star and his selling manages to be hilarious while still seeming to look brutal is genius. Not to mention thier conflicting styles made for a more interesting and engaging match to me.
It’s just Adam doing more for tag team wrestling than WWE have done in the past 15 years
Lets not forget Shield tag matches till june 2014 and Uso VS New Day stuff in 2017. These were fun times.
Who can forget the Classic Shayna Nia vs Riot Squad for the 200 Times.
That wasn't that over done.Lana and Naomi and Mandy and Dana vs Nia and Shayna is.Also Bayley and Sasha vs Riott squad
We need a *How Adam would book... WWEs Tag Team Division* where he has to save the tag division and form interesting matches and rivalries over the course of a calendar year.
An underrated tag team match that deserves more love, Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie vs. The New Age Outlaws in the Dumpster match from WrestleMania XIV.
How could you not mention the match where Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose got counted out after being scared by Nia Jax and think they won??!
"...because he's a Hardy and he was raised by ladders" has to be the king of puns ever used in relation to the Hardy boys.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
what's the pun? it is definitely a great line, but there are literally no puns
@@shahidnyker2900 he was raised by ladders - ladders were his parents
He was raised by ladders - he climbed ladders
He was raised by ladders - his career saw a boom due to his ladder matches.
@@chinedumjosiah4398 yeah, literally only the first interpretation is correct mate 😂😭 he literally meant that ladders are his parents, nothing else 😭😂
@@shahidnyker2900 I'm sorry you don't understand how puns work. I'd recommend looking up the definition of a pun.
@@chinedumjosiah4398 I have an English degree. It's not a pun, it's a reach. There has to be ambiguity in order for it to classify as a pun. There is no ambiguity in what he meant. He literally meant that Jeff Hardy's parents are ladders. It's a metaphor, not a pun.
Yes! Lorcan and Birch vs UE was incredible. I was legit pissed at the crowd booing The BritAm Boys, but was so happy they were able to win them over.
This list showed me that HBK is such an underrated Tag Team wrestler.
Cheers, Adam.
True, we're so used to Shawn as a all time great single performer that seeing him as a great Tag Team Wrestler...
A good chunk of this list is just "Hey, HBK was arguably just as great in tag matches as he was in singles matches."
Which..... yeah, fair point.
I remember the Hardys vs E&C because of Lita hitting the hurricanrana off the ladder. It must have hurt like hell, because she landed hard on her hip, but damn what a moment.
Forget Main Event, remember Superstars or Saturday Morning Slam?
I’ll never forget em
Love how the minor shows had really cool theme songs lol
I only remember Saturday Morning Slam specifically for Daniel Bryan and his infatuation with bears
Sadly right at the end of TLC 4 after Kane won, Triple H walks out and accuses him of being a murderer
Yep. One of 2002's best RAW main events gets overshadowed by the start of the f**king Katie Vick angle.
Wait really? I've seen TLC 4 so many times lmao I saw none w/ that segment.
Edit: Hidden shame! Surely, also, not relavant for a Ladder Match DVD Box-Set.
Let me tell you, *The Usos* vs *Erick Rowan & Luke Harper* (R.I.P Mr. Huber) was a chemistry that worked in 2014 to a double T (tag team).
Their 2 out of 3 falls match had the fans grow mental with excitement from beginning to end. Even as *The Bludgeon Brothers,* both teams never lost a step with each other and is a key moment that says how great the late EXALTED ONE was.
It’s my birthday today and an Adam list is the best gift I could ask for😂🙌🏼
It's also my wee bros. Are u the 30th or 29th? I know it's the 30th in the uk not sure how many hours back parts of america are?
Great list and can't argue with any of them.
If I could add one to the list, it'd be Bret / Owen vs. The Steiners from 1994. It is absolutely fantastic.
“Look at (Shawn’s) hair. Great googly moogly” what a line!
Ziggler&Drew vs Seth&Ambrose where drew claymores Seth in a suplex position was a good one too
OMG THANK YOU! Thank you for Putting UE vs Lorcan and Burch on this list. As someone who saw that match live, and knew how good Burch and Lorcan could be, to hear the crowd slowly getting behind them was so satisfying to witness.
The Usos vs New Days Hell in a Cell match was a gem and underrated one for surely.
UE’s entrance at Takeover Chicago 2 was HOT. crowd went wild
Got to see UE vs. L&B at a nxt house show, and yeah it started with a meh who are these guys, and ended with an ovation so loud that Lorcan and Burch had to come back out of the back to take a bow
I would recommend watching the whole series of Usos vs Wyatts. It’s the only series WWE did again and again and I remember be actually being excited to see it again and again. They are all quality.
Lorcan and Burch vs UE is one of my favorite tag matches ever. Glad people recognize it for the classic that it is.
A tag match that was so far ahead of it's time was the 2 out of 3 fall Jumping Bomb Angels vs The Glamour Girls in the late 80's title change . . . showed WWE fans what women can do long before the Divas Revolution . . . crowd really got into the JBA
London and Kendrick vs Hardyz vs MNM at Armageddon is waaayy damn underrated man!
So underrated in fact that you misremembered it as a triple threat tag, when it was a four way tag.
That matches specifically remember for what happened to Joey Mercury but still that was a great match
Regal and Taylor's out-of-element powerhouse dynamic contrasted so well with the Hardys and London & Kendrick's more risk-taking styles. They were the best part of the match in my opinion.
Aahet from classics from UE, I love War raiders vs Black and Richotche where they gets absolutely emotional send off from hot NXT crowd after having all time classic show opener.
Very UNDERRATED Match showing mix of 4 styles specially when High flying god Rick does tag work with hard hitting black, that thing us a 'chef's kiss' 😘
I’m so glad you included Burch & Lorca vs Undisputed Era. That spot where O’Reily is in a cross face, but breaks Lorcan’s half crab on Fish by rolling over and repeatedly shortening Lorcan’s jaw with his foot, all while the crowd goes crazy is one of my favorite tag team spots ever.
Lorcan & Burch aka Brit Am Brawlers are a good tag team. Sure they barely have any personality and look generic, but man I love their wrestling style. Especially considering how almost everything is flips & kicks every 5 minutes.
Really glad you mentioned UE vs Oney and Danny, super underrated. I’ve gone back and watched that one so many times
Shawn was so damn good. So many “classic, favorite, best ever” match lists have multiple entries involve his work.
I'm glad the Cena/HBK vs Batista/Taker is getting some more love. 9 year old me marked out at that match. It was like Marvel Civil War to me.
Fun fact: the Usos vs. Harper and Rowan is in the 100 Greatest Matches coffee table book. :)
Another underrated tag gem is Cody & Goldust vs The Shield for the Tag Titles on Raw Oct. 14 2013
I know people more remember their match at Battleground but track down the 2nd one, it's great
Michaels and Austin had amazing tag team chemistry.
I used to despise tag team matches but thanks to Adam I'm growing to appreciate them
Me and my brother still love that tag match for the NXT Tag Titles at Takeover between Burch and Lorcan vs the Undisputed Era. Such a freaking banger I need to rewatch it
Angle and Benoit vs. Los Guerreros on a Smackdown during a European tour (2002, maybe) was an amazing match. The arena was small and poorly lit, but all four of them just went at it like a Wrestlemania main event. Super fast pace for nearly thirty minutes, trading finishers, everybody bumping and selling, just exactly what you want to see.
The Battleground match is absolute class. It's the first thing I'd recommend for someone who wants to see Jon Huber in his prime.
Lorcan & Burch vs. Undisputed Era was the first NXT match I watched, and what an introduction it was. 16 minutes, and it felt like it was moving at a dead sprint the whole match. It's a shame Lorcan got injured in that match, because I think he and Burch were primed for a bit of a push after that match.
LOL the video editor with the double Adam face lol
I wanted Hardys to win at Unforgiven more than anything, and actually lept off my couch in excitement when they did.
I was 11, give me a break. It was still real then.
Adam I found out you were back on UA-cam about 3 days ago.
I've now watched every new list you've made. I have no regrets
Thats a lie
I have many
Edge/Rey vs Benoit/Angle vs Los Guerreros at Survivor Series 2002. Not exactly forgotten, but damn is it beautiful.
Matches everyone needs to have seen
TLC 4 is also the match where Bubba got concussed by Jericho and had to ask how to climb a ladder.
Undisputed Era vs Danny Burch and Oney Lorchain was so good it had my friend who is absolutely not into wrestling hanging on the edge of his seat.
I genuinely can't believe WWE had Taker and Cena in the ring competing in a tag match, then proceeded to never do the big money match.
Also, a great underrated tag match I thought of was Ziggler/McIntyre vs Ambrose/Rollins at Hell in a Cell 2018. It's forgotten because of the horrendous HIAC ending, but there's some intense action. Great spot when McIntyre claymores Rollins in the middle of a falcon arrow sequence, allowing Dolph to get the pin.
I don't know if this counts but the Fatal-4-Way Tag Ladder match from Armageddon '06. While people always talk about the Joey Mercury moment, the match is one of my favorites but gets overshadowed by that one spot.
Best. List. EVER!!!! Yea I’m someone who has seen all the matches but Forgotten is the perfect PERFECT description. This list has so many matches that either got me into wrestling or brought me back to wrestling. Helluva list Adam!!!
Steiner Brothers vs Midnight Express for the nwa us tag team championship at nwa world Championship wrestling 10/13/1990 a forgotten classic by two legendary tag teams
Want ADAM'S Top 10 favourites wrestles video now. He promised to do that list in 5years.
I love that E&C vs Hardys cage match. I generally loathe the escape stipulation but it’s done to perfection in that particular match.
This list brought back SO MANY memories.
All of these lists are so great but the ones where Adam gives love to things are the best ones
That Undisputed Era vs Lorcan and Burch match from Takeover Chicago 2 is easily one of my favorite tag matches of all time. I remember watching it live and I was blown away by both teams. Great match...
I was thinking Usos/New Day from SummerSlam 2017 because it was on the Kick-Off, but I remembered that it stole the show DESPITE being on the Kick-Off!
I still can't believe Taker's best years were in his forties. From 2004-2013, the dude was (mostly) exceptional in the ring. I can't think of another wrestler who wrestled that good into their forties.
Oney and Lorcan vs Undisputed Era
So underrated, so glad it was brought up, my favorite match of that card, a fantastic card might I add
Adam's head on the Beverly Brothers bodies is everything nobody wanted, but must always see now!!!
Any match and I mean any match with the Hardy's, the Dudley's and Edge and Christian is the golden era of modern tag teams. Pure gold.
UE vs Lorcan and Burch is one of my all time favorite Takeover matches. I was already a big Lorcan fan, but man that match is one that I still go back and watch when I’ve got free time and want to watch some wrestling.
The match at 4:20 I was yelling into the internet abyss about how good and underrated/forgotten it was for months before finally giving up lmao
Super underrated mostly because it's on the same show as THAT DIY/Revival tag match, but I feel like Authors of Pain vs. TM-61 from Takeover:Toronto was lowkey great.
I have to (reluctantly) give WWE credit, Rivals-Turned-Tag-Partners was a story that both NXT and the main roster did well. Both the Brit-Am Brawlers and The Bar were two of my favorite things in their respective eras.
No Way out 2007 I adored that tag match - so so fun and that Batista "turn" genuinely made me gasp as a kid
Every time the Beverly Brothers came up i laughed out loud 😆😆
Well another reason to click on the video is because you know its going to be the best Adam talking 👍😉
Its quite recent but The Bar vs The Hardy Boyz in an iron man match at Great Balls of Fire 2017 was fantastic, very well booked match and Cesaro has one of my favourite tag team performances ever. Really great match
Where's the freaking Partsfunknown podcast?
Yeah Adam you're damn right Undisputed ERA's tag team matches are CLASSIC. We should not forget that Oney suffered orbital bone fracture due to jumping knee of Roddy. Ahh I miss UE so bad
There is a Steiner Brothers Vs Bret and Owen Hart tag match from the early 1990s that was super fun but it’s a direct to Coliseum Home Video situation and I can’t recall which tape it appears on.
Brock Lesnar & Matt Morgan & A-Train & Nathan Jones VS. Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit. Random Smackdown Episode in November 2003 (shorty before SS03) - this match gets me pumped again and again and again, but no one knows that match xD
Revival/FTR VS UNDISPUTED ERA/REdragrons is wayyyy to untalked about
Tbh I forgot it happened until he brought it up and now I want to see that more than anything
Rollins and Ambrose v The Bar had a pair of matches that sometimes get forgotten Summerslam and No Mercy 2017
i was there for oney and burch vs UE it was so good seeing oney and burch make everyone believe
Speaking of Oney Lorcan and forgotten classics, anyone remember Oney Lorcan vs Hideo Itami/Kenta? Those boys sure did slap the piss out of each other. Great stuff.
Sasha & bayley dropping the tag titles to Shayna & Nia was actually a really great match
I love any list that manages to get a shot of Kevin Dunn's top lipless derp face...
UE vs Lorcan and Burch always gets a rewatch just for the face slaps. Those slaps just bring me joy
Id like to hear Adam's top 10 entrance themes
Does anyone remember that RAW episode from MSG in 2009 where the main event was John Cena & The Undertaker vs DX vs Jeri-Show. Every man in that match was world champion at some point, just look at star power in that match. A trully forgotten diamond of a tag team match.
AOP vs DIY vs Revival at Orlando is an honourable mention
Fun fact about the No 1, it was the match of the decade winner from the Raw X Anniversary, no seriously.
The Rockers vs Haku and Barbarian at Mania 7 is pure tag team bliss
I retain a lot if what these video's teach me. much Love Adam
I have learnt one thing today: Shawn Hickenbottom is very good at the matches of tag.
Was TLC4 forgotten? I swear it won "Raw match of the decade" during the show's 10 year celebration event.
Bret and Owen v The Steiner at Wrestlefest was also great.
I definitely need to checkout these matches asap.
Edit: I’ve seen some of these matches.
TLC 4 was my favourite match for a long time when I was a kid
Made me love 2002 Kane
I always reccomend TLC4 to people pirely for JR commentating is solo and what a great job he did. The match was brilliant too.
Undisputed vs lorcin and birch was amazing. I never expected it to be that great before the event but that was so so good!
Another underrated tag match was the shield vs the new day at survivor series 2017.
I have a feeling HBK and Cena vs. Batista and Undertaker at No Way Out 2007 is going to be on this list
I was there for Lorcan and Burch Vs UE, and it’s a damn shame I lost my video footage I took at the event, but it really was an exciting match. Honestly was a great PPV overall.
The amount of HBK in this list is astounding, but not at all surprising.
