I doubt it. But who knows.
Maybe a proper HD Remaster with voice acting. But a full on remake that uses modern graphics, fully re-made in unreal engine, and follows the combat system of FF7R? Too impossible. FF8 doesn't have that much popularity compared to FF7
@@michaelrobosa146it’s a shame. Game aged like fine wine. A lot of the Obtuse systems and narrative decisions I don’t care as much about as an almost 40 year old. Whatever comes next for final fantasy won’t be until this, XVI’s dlc and dawn trail come out.
Hopefully we get news about that IX remake/remaster thing that was rumored

That was the good old days. When I was 14, I played FF8, and 'Eyes on Me' became my favorite FF theme. Time flies, it's beautiful. Thanks for sharing...It brought tears to my eyes. 😭

FFVIII isn't my favorite, but it was my first FF & the reason I fell in love with most of the first 10 entries.
It's not the best game but definitely one of the best OSTs.

Just wait until this is on PC, we're going to be able to play a lot more accurately (connecting a midi keyboard will even be possible)
That'll be a different thing, though this is pretty accurate already even if I say so myself!
@@JanneOksanenMusic I hear what you're saying but pushing keys on a keyboard or even a controller vs using analogue sticks is a lot easier and more accurate.
(I'm not at all trying to take away from your performances by the way, they're great ^^)
I agree, I've said from the start that keys mapped to buttons would be closer to a real keyboard. Maybe they thought this is the best way for some reason. If they could integrate pedaling the sticks could be used as pedals.

So many people are gonna start making songs in rebirth instead of playing the actual piano lol. Good video though. I got my daughter a collection of FF songs to play with me on our piano at home and this is one of them.
Yeah, playing real piano is of course better but this is a fun extra minigame.
