From the official PlayStation blog - March 14 2024: Nobuo Uematsu: “No Promises to Keep” is a love song. I wanted it to exude a sweet feeling, but at the same time, evoke the complex feeling as Aerith confessed her feelings. Loren Allred: I wanted to get to know Aerith well, and I also wanted to depict her relationship with Cloud. So, for me to channel her fragile and pure personality, I needed to change certain elements of my natural vocals to match up with her character.
Speaking of Love Songs, if they ever remake FFVIII, I hope they get Faye Wong again for Eyes on Me. If she can no longer sing, I hope they just keep the old version of the song and not remake it.
The ending is really beautiful. The fact she knows this is the end, that she has to say goodbye to Cloud, but can't get too close. She spends her entire time balancing out not breaking him, whilst enjoying the moment. This is her telling Cloud she'll wait for him and they will see each other again. Anyone who thinks Aerith is just a pixie-girl romance has never looked at the nuances of Aerith's character. What a woman.
Honestly, even as far back as Advent Children, there has always been that implication of, "I'll be here, waiting for you." No, Aerith isn't a cutesy pixie girl. She's an immortal goddess.
I hate how people cant see it. The fact that she so wanted to tell Cloud how she feels , but knows that she is gonna die, so she just spends time with him, trying to enjoy herselfб , to say goodbye, and trying not to break him
Finally, someone who gets it 😢 Waiting to reunite is one of their themes. Their relationship is tragic but beautiful because it shows the importance of life and cherishing those you love when you have time with them.
Aerith is the only girl who makes Cloud jaw dropped, completely in love with what he's seeing. It happened twice, in remake when she's wearing the red dress and now. Oh, the pure and true love is so beautiful! 🤍✨
Reminder for those coping that this is about anyone other than Cloud: 1. When this song debuted in the game awards trailer, intimate scenes of Aerith & Cloud were exclusively shown. 2. The orchestral version of this song plays during Cloud and Aerith 5th sector date 3. The song plays AGAIN at the very end of the game. The "till we meet again" obviously refers to Cloud & Aerith because they are parting at the end of the game. 4. Aerith looks at Cloud multiple times while singing this song 5. Aerith is crying because she's aware of her grim fate at the end of the game, she's shown to know more than she's let on for a while now. 6. The lyrics literally mention the street where she met Cloud. That could only apply to Cloud, not Zack 7. Loren Allred, the singer of this song, acknowledges that this song is about Aerith & Cloud.
how about the person who actually wrote the song saying it isn't about just Cloud I'd take the word of the man who wrote the song over a singer the company paid just to sing it and doesn't know the characters.
@@Shadow-jm9ei Nobuo Uematsu composed the music and was the one who agreed with Loren, the lyrics of the song were written by Kazushige Nojime, the guy who's been writting for the characters since the og in 97 and he says that it was never meant to be a love song to Cloud its meant to be about everyone Aerith holds dear and her burden of what her fate is being the last Cetra.
@@Azraelsonyou know the developers received death threats after the game awards trailer, I'm not surprised they changed the meaning to keep everyone happy, anyway the intentions are clear for anyone who listens to this song, it's for Cloud.
I am a Tifa enjoyer but I have to admit that yes, Aerith is indeed the canon love interest based on these hints. After replaying part 1 Remake, they made a lot of comparions on Cloud/Tifa and Cloud/Aerith. Tifa always has a gap when sitting/standing near Cloud and easily gives up on him if he's not interested while Aerith, while being pushy, tries to close the gap with Cloud and ultimately successfully high-fives him, breaking his "trying to look cool" persona. I also noticed how she's always trying to sit close to Cloud which is still shown here in Rebirth. I find it cute. More things I noticed after replaying part 1: > It is only Aerith trying to get close with Cloud, just by simply wanting to spend more time with him rather than always giving him a "job" that everyone does around him. Yes, even Jessie and Tifa orders him around, but not Aerith. > Cloud, for the first time, wants to do something (saving Aerith) without anyone paying him (job). > When Tifa asks if there's nothing between them, Cloud hesitates to answer while if asked by Aerith if there's something between him and Tifa. he outrights say "No" lol > During the first mission, he doesn't believe Barret "hearing" the planet even ridiculing him "to get some help". But when Aerith is sad about "not really able to" talk to her flowers, Cloud angrily tells the flowers to "learn to talk to her" lol > Did you guys noticed the Honey Bee Inn's "reward" is Aerith's reaction - if she's amazed or bummed with your performance? Who wouldn't love a woman who actively seeks affection from you, puts in effort to make you fall in love with her, and is beautiful? This game highlights this a lot, and Tifa is pretty much toned down. Until disc 3, I choose Aerith.
I’m sure Cloud was giddy inside 😂😍 I love how Aerith glances at Cloud after ”until I met you” and how they both looked at each other fondly/in awe at the besinning and end of the song too. They are the absolute cutest, romantic yet heartbreaking thing ever 💘
I know the loss of Aerith is what makes FF7 special. But a huge part of me wants some element of the game, even if a dream sequence or multiverse, to have these two reunited as a couple. Perhaps a choice at the end? Live a life with friends or 'seven seconds' reunited with Aerith in her dying world? I know what I would pic... Every single time.

When I first played FF7 I went all in with Tifa. I was a huge Tifa simp. They were childhood friends! I never truly understood the impact of Aeriths death. It had no meaning because I never hung out with her during the story since Tifa and Cloud already had a previous relationship. and while I did replay the original with a focus on Aerith, it wasn't until the remakes that I truly understood. Aerith and Cloud's budding relationship is just so genuine. These new interactions just make her death feel so tragic that thinking back to the original game brings a tear to my eye. I've completely changed my mind about Cloud and Aerith.

So this is so perfect in so many ways. Let's dissect: 1. Cloud's jaw dropping over and over again as he looks at his absolutely perfect vision of purity and innocence. He is so in love it is just perfect. 2. Aerith's little nods to their private moments and their place. 3. The Avalanche departed...did not expect that 4. The approval from Madam M who being frank shipped Clerith the second she gave Cloud that epic handy J 😂 5. Cid and Vincent perfect comic relief to break the tension especially Cid so in OG character snoozing through the love fest. 6. Perfect use of Aerith's thene leitmotif just to kick you square in the nuts knowing what awaits Cloud and Aerith. Made even more profound by Aeriths sadness over her knowledge of her fate and their love that can never be fulfilled. This is just 200/10
yeah was kind of surprised with the Avalanche trio, I mean i guess it was kind of hinted at with them finally seeing Jessie's performance but it seemed like implied that like they were like only being seen by Aerith which would be weird as she never really met them, cloud just mentions jessie in passing on the initial date you have.

There is this one person saying she is singing both to Cloud and Zack and I showed them Loren Allred comment. I know Zack and Cissnei will reunite, he asked her to watch over his parents and she has. She is waiting for him to return, with such dedication I am pretty sure it’s safe to say that Cissnei is in love with Zack and I like her character as well.
When there are optional scenes with multiple companions, Aerith's max affinity scenes like this one are the only ones that were put in the trailers and in the official story recap/end credits. It really makes you see how the devs see her as the canonical love interest

@@reishi62Aerith's death does not even play out like her OG scene where Cloud gives a speech and lays her to rest with a water burial. That's finality. In Rebirth, after her death, Aerith has way more active scenes and Cloud doesn't even think she's dead. He's literally still able to talk to her. Stop viewing the narrative so shallow, obviously this will be a plot point going into part 3. Like you do remember there's another part to this game right? It was obvious they would find some way to keep Aerith an active part of the third trilogy beyond her 'death scene'.
@@AnbuPrincess it leads to advent children, this aerith cloud sees is a conscious version alive in the lifestream who hasnt diffused because she tethers to cloud, like zack and sephiroth. The games are majority from clouds POV, with his cracked psyche by the end i think he's not even aware she's dead, and the water burial was wiped from his memory by jenova cells as we see from his pov shes alive in his arms. we will see the proper death in part 3, i think that is going to be part of the cloud putting himself together scene because the devs really want to hurt us again

Oh and them the REST OF THE WHOLE GAME is CLoud doing everything he can to save Aerith and he refuses to believe she died.

(I know this is long but I think there's some good points to be made here) For people saying the song was confirmed to not be for Cloud, or for those upset by toxic shippers: Nojima said NPTK wasn't SOLELY about Cloud, there are elements of the song that can be generalized towards other characters. Aerith has a lot of people in her life that she really cares about which makes sense. There are also elements that are focused on the hardships of her life and the burden of being a Cetra. HOWEVER, just because the entirety of the song isn't SOLELY about him, doesn't mean there aren't parts geared towards Cloud. Nojima himself in his response said "There's nothing wrong with a love song, of course... and the lyrics do have elements of that- like meeting someone, them changing your world..." Nojima does not deny that the song has romantic elements throughout. The song is deep and impactful and talks about a lot of different things... Lauren (the incredible woman that sang the song), multiple times, has discussed learning about the relationship between Cloud and Aerith in order to properly understand the emotion behind the song she's singing. She's said that in 2 seperate interviews with Uematsu, one of which came out after the Nojima interview clip, with Uematsu supporting the idea of the song being a love song. Details of the song performance in the game support the idea that part of the songs message is about Aerith's feelings for Cloud. 1.) "Until I met you..." Aerith looks over at Cloud every time regardless of the route. 2.) "Our place" The only person Aerith talks to very specifically about having a place with is Cloud, referring to the church. 3.) The lyrics about taking someone's hand and being together directly mirror the lyrics of "Hollow" which is from Cloud's perspective. 4.) "City streets of worn cobblestone/ finding ourselves all alone" Cloud and Aerith met under the Loveless sign topside in the city. Cobblestone street. Only the two of them were present in the scene, but Aerith was stuck being pushed around in a crowd on that same street before the two met. I've seen people arguing this could be for Elmyra, so if we're going to pick stuff apart I want to present a counter argument. I don't think fits for a few reasons: a.) Aerith and her mother were sitting in the dirt next to a cement sidewalk, not busy or crowded like the lyrics of that section talk about. Elmyra and Aerith aren't alone in that scene, either, Aerith's mother is there, and while she does die there, with the other context provided that just doesn’t fit. I could go on. I don't think Nojima's answer takes away from Aerith's feelings for Cloud or the meaning of the song. I think it deepens the song to be about more which is valid, Aerith is more than just a love interest. Her love for Cloud is important though, and is evident throughout the game.

Rmember people, while the golden saucer dates are OPTIONAL, lets point out some juicy facts that happen after chapter 12: -Marlene confirms Aerith has feelings for Cloud to Zack of all people lol Marlene points out that Cloud is THE ONE who will save Aerith -Cloud get a NON OPTIONAL date with Aerith regardless who was your date in the golden saucer (hehe) -an instrumental version of this song plays during their final date -the sleeping forest scene even made a reference to her date about her trying to find the real Cloud -Aerith gives him her empty white materie which will for sure play another important role apart from holy -Cloud remembering his first encounter with Aerith is what broke him out of Sephiroth's control - Cloud's will deflected Sephiroth's blade, yes Aerith is dead but she is also alive because of him - Aerith physically joins Cloud to fight Sephiroth and it's them on that final fight, hero and heroine agains the villian - their hands intertwining before she goes back to the other world Geee i wonder whose the canon romance 🤔
Also, Cloud's response on the Dream Date depends on whether or not you took Aerith on one of the two GS dates. It's not about if she's HA in your game, but if you dated her which makes Cloud's response enthusiastic rather than more closed off. It speaks volumes on how much weight her GS dates have on Cloud, implying clarity on likely the Zack situation is my guess since he was jealous and believed Aerith still likes Zack.
She changed it up a little in that last note. Everybody should see Loren Allred ( the singer) sing Never Enough on AGT Fantasy League last month. A masterful performance.
I love Aerith so much. She KNOWS she's going to die and has every right to be angry or upset, but instead embraces the life she has and the friends she has right now. She's sad, but still wants everyone to know she'll be okay and that life is beautiful and will still be beautiful when she's no longer physically there. That's so beautifully profound.

I got Aerith's high affection just by playing normally and doing everything for everyone too. Yet, it's her who ends up the default date with the highest affection. Just like in OG. Cloud and Aerith's is the true love story to be told. It always has been. I realize that now.

The writing in this game is incredible. I've never seen the level of skill and resources put into presenting a love story in the world of video games. This remake (all the episodes), with the development of this romance, has brought something never before seen in a video game! I'm also a fan of films and books, and the portrayal of the love between Cloud and Aerith as experienced through a video game brings a real sense of freshness. Thanks to all the team who worked on this game, which will leave a mark on the cultural history of mankind. I hope we'll see them start a family at the end of the game, and that we'll get to see their children.
Cloud is the main character obviously but i mean both of them always were the main characters of ff7. Sephiroth is trying to control Cloud, Aerith is trying to free him from his control because Cloud will have the final word when it comes to sephiroth and Aerith will guide the lifestream to protect the planet from meteor.
The developers understood their fanbase so well that they knew people would try and literally steal this song and try to distort once again everything about it, like they did a hundred times before, trying to deny the undeniable. Cloud and Aerith love eachother. So this time they made the lyrics be something unique about Cloud and Aerith storyline when they first met on loveless street. Made a live presentation with a Trailer showcasing the date scene of Cloud and Aerith. The background image of the theme song official page is Cloud and Aerith Gondola scene. Aerith sings the song directly to Cloud with both of them looking at eachother in love and Cloud holding the yellow flower and taking it to his heart, moments after they declare themselves to eachother. In the ending of Rebirth they play NPTK one last time just after Cloud and Aerith are saying goodbye. And you still see people trying to deny this.

This is specifically if you chose to romance aerith. If you chose the Tifa de scene is very different, Tifa is beside Cloud the entire time and even hold hands with him.

When I saw Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge, I legit cried. Whole song and video had me on the verge of tears but that broke me. This game was my childhood and this hit me right in my soul.

This song is basically spoiling what will happen in the 3rd game. The entire game, like the song, is a love letter to Cloud and Aerith. I never expected they will make it that clear in Rebirth....
Small advice from me, stay far far away from twitter or any other social media platform to interact with this fandom!! It's extremely toxic, especially now from so called "Clotis" since Nojima said that the song is not particularly about Cloud only. Schizo-fans of Tifa and Zack are of course extremely happy about it, acting all nice and fake-thanking Nojima for making Aerith an even more loveable character, since she is singing for all her loved ones. Meanwhile they're celebrating their "win" and harassing, bullying, insulting, making fun of everyone with a different opinion. Never ever have i experienced such ugly behaviour in a fandom. So play your game in peace, choose the date you want and wait silently for part 3.

this game hit me after an hour of playing the first part i have played a lot of good games but i have never said wow and i can only say with amazement that final fantasy 7 is a masterpiece ❤❤❤

@@soundofstefany94 also dun forget it's only been a couple of months they met. Their pace in a growing relationship is kinda realistic and more genuine in my eyes. Kissing is definitely something the two will not do at this stage, but the attraction to each other is palpable.

The fact that people have to convince you this is about Cloud is pretty sad. One lyric is enough "when we meet at our place" End of the game: "Is this is? Our place?" Despite having spent 2 very long games together, people only see what they want to see. No matter how obvious it may be. (With the original Japanese context & script, it would be *insane* to deny it) I'm glad this is Aerith's date. As a girl, if I were in someone's shoes, if I was having a date with a guy and a girl was singing a love song about the person I was on a date with, I wouldn't be too thrilled.

Yes 100%. The start of the song is referring to when they met on Loveless street in Midgar. Also the song plays *SPOILERS* at the very end of the game as Cloud and Aerith part ways, which makes the rest of the lyrics make ALOT more sense.
While he does love both, I wouldn't say he loves aerith just like tifa. Its clearly different. I mean, he even kind of did tifa wrong on their date. Sure, they kissed. But before the kiss, he was clearly concerned about if aerith still has feelings for zack and upset thinking she did. Every time I watch this scene, it just makes cry again and again. The scene is so beautiful and the lyrics of this song is perfectly match Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Squire Enix has done a great job. Can't wait to play the last part of the game. But the only thing makes myself not comfortable is I am not sure if I can still play the last part without Aerith. Love her.
Any idea how I get the scene where Aerith sings "No Promises To Keep"? I know it's during the chapter 12 date night thing, but the only account I've heard so far is to get high Tifa bond rating, which doesn't really seem right to Me. Ever since I've heard this song it's become a HUGE part of my life, and I'd love to hear it on my first go around of the game. I'm on chapter 10 right now, and I'm not really going yo play until I get an answer, because I still have time to boost Aerith's rating if I have to.
This scene plays always no matter what, it's not missable. There are slight changes to the presentation depending on who is your date, in this instance the player got the high affection Aerith date.

Speaking of Love Songs, if they ever remake FFVIII, I hope they get Faye Wong again for Eyes on Me. If she can no longer sing, I hope they just keep the old version of the song and not remake it.
The ending is really beautiful. The fact she knows this is the end, that she has to say goodbye to Cloud, but can't get too close. She spends her entire time balancing out not breaking him, whilst enjoying the moment. This is her telling Cloud she'll wait for him and they will see each other again. Anyone who thinks Aerith is just a pixie-girl romance has never looked at the nuances of Aerith's character. What a woman.

@@Shadow-jm9ei Nobuo Uematsu composed the music and was the one who agreed with Loren, the lyrics of the song were written by Kazushige Nojime, the guy who's been writting for the characters since the og in 97 and he says that it was never meant to be a love song to Cloud its meant to be about everyone Aerith holds dear and her burden of what her fate is being the last Cetra.

I am a Tifa enjoyer but I have to admit that yes, Aerith is indeed the canon love interest based on these hints. After replaying part 1 Remake, they made a lot of comparions on Cloud/Tifa and Cloud/Aerith. Tifa always has a gap when sitting/standing near Cloud and easily gives up on him if he's not interested while Aerith, while being pushy, tries to close the gap with Cloud and ultimately successfully high-fives him, breaking his "trying to look cool" persona. I also noticed how she's always trying to sit close to Cloud which is still shown here in Rebirth. I find it cute.
More things I noticed after replaying part 1:

I know the loss of Aerith is what makes FF7 special. But a huge part of me wants some element of the game, even if a dream sequence or multiverse, to have these two reunited as a couple. When I first played FF7 I went all in with Tifa. I was a huge Tifa simp. They were childhood friends! I never truly understood the impact of Aeriths death. It had no meaning because I never hung out with her during the story since Tifa and Cloud already had a previous relationship. and while I did replay the original with a focus on Aerith, it wasn't until the remakes that I truly understood. Aerith and Cloud's budding relationship is just so genuine. These new interactions just make her death feel so tragic that thinking back to the original game brings a tear to my eye. I've completely changed my mind about Cloud and Aerith.

1. Cloud's jaw dropping over and over again as he looks at his absolutely perfect vision of purity and innocence. He is so in love it is just perfect.
2. Aerith's little nods to their private moments and their place.
3. The Avalanche departed...did not expect that
4. The approval from Madam M who being frank shipped Clerith the second she gave Cloud that epic handy J 😂
5. Cid and Vincent perfect comic relief to break the tension especially Cid so in OG character snoozing through the love fest.
6. Perfect use of Aerith's thene leitmotif just to kick you square in the nuts knowing what awaits Cloud and Aerith. Made even more profound by Aeriths sadness over her knowledge of her fate and their love that can never be fulfilled.

yeah was kind of surprised with the Avalanche trio, I mean i guess it was kind of hinted at with them finally seeing Jessie's performance but it seemed like implied that like they were like only being seen by Aerith which would be weird as she never really met them, cloud just mentions jessie in passing on the initial date you have.

There is this one person saying she is singing both to Cloud and Zack and I showed them Loren Allred comment. I know Zack and Cissnei will reunite, he asked her to watch over his parents and she has. She is waiting for him to return, with such dedication I am pretty sure it’s safe to say that Cissnei is in love with Zack and I like her character as well.
I still ship her with Zack but we know the end to CC so obviously Cloud is the replacement.

In Rebirth, after her death, Aerith has way more active scenes and Cloud doesn't even think she's dead. He's literally still able to talk to her. Stop viewing the narrative so shallow, obviously this will be a plot point going into part 3. Like you do remember there's another part to this game right? It was obvious they would find some way to keep Aerith an active part of the third trilogy beyond her 'death scene'.

The games are majority from clouds POV, with his cracked psyche by the end i think he's not even aware she's dead, and the water burial was wiped from his memory by jenova cells as we see from his pov shes alive in his arms. we will see the proper death in part 3, i think that is going to be part of the cloud putting himself together scene because the devs really want to hurt us again

(I know this is long but I think there's some good points to be made here) For people saying the song was confirmed to not be for Cloud, or for those upset by toxic shippers: Nojima said NPTK wasn't SOLELY about Cloud, there are elements of the song that can be generalized towards other characters. Aerith has a lot of people in her life that she really cares about which makes sense. There are also elements that are focused on the hardships of her life and the burden of being a Cetra. HOWEVER, just because the entirety of the song isn't SOLELY about him, doesn't mean there aren't parts geared towards Cloud. Nojima himself in his response said "There's nothing wrong with a love song, of course... and the lyrics do have elements of that- like meeting someone, them changing your world..." Nojima does not deny that the song has romantic elements throughout. The song is deep and impactful and talks about a lot of different things... Lauren (the incredible woman that sang the song), multiple times, has discussed learning about the relationship between Cloud and Aerith in order to properly understand the emotion behind the song she's singing. She's said that in 2 seperate interviews with Uematsu, one of which came out after the Nojima interview clip, with Uematsu supporting the idea of the song being a love song. Details of the song performance in the game support the idea that part of the songs message is about Aerith's feelings for Cloud. 1.) "Until I met you..." Aerith looks over at Cloud every time regardless of the route. 2.) "Our place" The only person Aerith talks to very specifically about having a place with is Cloud, referring to the church. 3.) The lyrics about taking someone's hand and being together directly mirror the lyrics of "Hollow" which is from Cloud's perspective. 4.) "City streets of worn cobblestone/ finding ourselves all alone" Cloud and Aerith met under the Loveless sign topside in the city. Cobblestone street. Only the two of them were present in the scene, but Aerith was stuck being pushed around in a crowd on that same street before the two met. I've seen people arguing this could be for Elmyra, so if we're going to pick stuff apart I want to present a counter argument. I don't think fits for a few reasons: a.) Aerith and her mother were sitting in the dirt next to a cement sidewalk, not busy or crowded like the lyrics of that section talk about. Elmyra and Aerith aren't alone in that scene, either, Aerith's mother is there, and while she does die there, with the other context provided that just doesn’t fit. I could go on. I don't think Nojima's answer takes away from Aerith's feelings for Cloud or the meaning of the song. I think it deepens the song to be about more which is valid, Aerith is more than just a love interest. Her love for Cloud is important though, and is evident throughout the game.

-Marlene confirms Aerith has feelings for Cloud to Zack of all people lol

-Cloud get a NON OPTIONAL date with Aerith regardless who was your date in the golden saucer (hehe)
-an instrumental version of this song plays during their final date
-the sleeping forest scene even made a reference to her date about her trying to find the real Cloud
-Aerith gives him her empty white materie which will for sure play another important role apart from holy
-Cloud remembering his first encounter with Aerith is what broke him out of Sephiroth's control
- Cloud's will deflected Sephiroth's blade, yes Aerith is dead but she is also alive because of him
- Aerith physically joins Cloud to fight Sephiroth and it's them on that final fight, hero and heroine agains the villian

Also, Cloud's response on the Dream Date depends on whether or not you took Aerith on one of the two GS dates. It's not about if she's HA in your game, but if you dated her which makes Cloud's response enthusiastic rather than more closed off. It speaks volumes on how much weight her GS dates have on Cloud, implying clarity on likely the Zack situation is my guess since he was jealous and believed Aerith still likes Zack.
She changed it up a little in that last note. Everybody should see Loren Allred ( the singer) sing Never Enough on AGT Fantasy League last month. A masterful performance.

I got Aerith's high affection just by playing normally and doing everything for everyone too. Yet, it's her who ends up the default date with the highest affection. Just like in OG. Cloud and Aerith's is the true love story to be told. It always has been. I realize that now.

I've never seen the level of skill and resources put into presenting a love story in the world of video games.
This remake (all the episodes), with the development of this romance, has brought something never before seen in a video game!
I'm also a fan of films and books, and the portrayal of the love between Cloud and Aerith as experienced through a video game brings a real sense of freshness.
Thanks to all the team who worked on this game, which will leave a mark on the cultural history of mankind.
I hope we'll see them start a family at the end of the game, and that we'll get to see their children.

Cloud is the main character obviously but i mean both of them always were the main characters of ff7. Sephiroth is trying to control Cloud, Aerith is trying to free him from his control because Cloud will have the final word when it comes to sephiroth and Aerith will guide the lifestream to protect the planet from meteor.

The developers understood their fanbase so well that they knew people would try and literally steal this song and try to distort once again everything about it, like they did a hundred times before, trying to deny the undeniable. Cloud and Aerith love eachother.
So this time they made the lyrics be something unique about Cloud and Aerith storyline when they first met on loveless street.
Made a live presentation with a Trailer showcasing the date scene of Cloud and Aerith.
The background image of the theme song official page is Cloud and Aerith Gondola scene.
Aerith sings the song directly to Cloud with both of them looking at eachother in love and Cloud holding the yellow flower and taking it to his heart, moments after they declare themselves to eachother.
In the ending of Rebirth they play NPTK one last time just after Cloud and Aerith are saying goodbye.
And you still see people trying to deny this.

Schizo-fans of Tifa and Zack are of course extremely happy about it, acting all nice and fake-thanking Nojima for making Aerith an even more loveable character, since she is singing for all her loved ones. Meanwhile they're celebrating their "win" and harassing, bullying, insulting, making fun of everyone with a different opinion. Never ever have i experienced such ugly behaviour in a fandom. So play your game in peace, choose the date you want and wait silently for part 3.

Every time I watch this scene, it just makes cry again and again. The scene is so beautiful and the lyrics of this song is perfectly match Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Squire Enix has done a great job. Any idea how I get the scene where Aerith sings "No Promises To Keep"? I know it's during the chapter 12 date night thing, but the only account I've heard so far is to get high Tifa bond rating, which doesn't really seem right to Me. Ever since I've heard this song it's become a HUGE part of my life, and I'd love to hear it on my first go around of the game. I'm on chapter 10 right now, and I'm not really going yo play until I get an answer, because I still have time to boost Aerith's rating if I have to.
This scene plays always no matter what, it's not missable. There are slight changes to the presentation depending on who is your date, in this instance the player got the high affection Aerith date.
