- In this how to we are going to look at how to use the NAV mode from the autopilot using the Working Title CJ4 addon. Compared to other aircrafts the NAV mode in the Working Title CJ4 works a bit different compared to how you think it might work.
If you also want to give the Working Title CJ4 a try you can download it from this site: github.com/Wor...

Give this man a medal.
thanks Mikef25
If you don’t want to make the sharp turn to get to the flight planned track (magenta line), you can select direct to the next point and a new line will be drawn and LN1 will be immediately captured by the autopilot.
thanks for the top tubeslats
Thanks for explaining the FLC mode! I always struggle with getting the constant speed and you did the best explaining it out of all of the Cessna CJ4 tutorials!
thanks Josh glad you liked it and it helped you understand FLC
Finally an answer i have been looking for all morning! Thank you!
good to hear it solved the issue for both of you
finally. i was getting so mad when i kept setting up all my flight plans and the plane would keep going straight and not follow the flight path
Good to hear it resolved your issue!
bro this was world class
thank you glad you liked it
I did my maiden test voyage last night and had lots of autopilot issues - altitude as well as NAV. I will use this video to help so thank you! Also, could you not go to the FMS and, from a reasonable location, double lsk on the next waypoint, execute and then use nav when it draws a direct line to that waypoint? Thanks!
glad the video helped!
good stuff lad, very lovely and very helpful
thanks Walrus good you loved it and you found it helpful
Hi, thanks for this. Btw, what is the ATC overlay? 3rd party addon?
you mean the one used to see the communication?
@@Highintheflightsimsky Yes, the text in the bottom of the screen.
@@PasiYP there's probably an option for displaying ATC on screen, I'm not in front of my MSFS PC though
thank you, wasn't able to figure out why NAV would not work. super!
glad to hear it works using the tips in this video
How do you change from the Rad Nav back to LNAV1, after you have landed if you are going to do a second leg?
legend
thanks

What is the difference in the NAV and Autopilot button?
nav is just one of the functions of the autopilot. So once you enabled the autopilot you can enable the nav mode to tell the autopilot to follow the flight plan
Hello, I have a problem. My heading mode and NAV mode dont work. The LNV1 lights green but the plane doesnt care, completely ignoring the flight director. Any advice?
did you fly close enough to the flightplan line? In several other aircrafts the nav mode only works if you are in a certain range of the line
@@HighintheflightsimskyYup, I just took of from the airport and followed the SID line manually, then engaging nav mode, which didnt do anything
Also, the LNV1 announciator was Green, no flickering, but the plane just ignored it
I’m having the same problem. Most of the time the autopilot will appear to be engaged, but will not actually engage.
How do u get ur vfr map to look like that
You mean the VFR map outside the cockpit? I am not sure if that still looks the same since this is an older video and a lot has changed recently to the VFR map
put...th...r...almost there :P
thanks
