The underdog of underdogs. The 2019 Washington Nationals were snake-bit in the middle of the season, having a bullpen ERA of over 7.00. While that never changed, the Nats bats woke up and climbed back up into the Wild Card spot after August and never looked back.
However, nobody knew it would turn out like this: A World Series Champion for the first time in franchise history. A huge upset in Game 5 against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS, a clean sweep of the Cardinals in the NLCS, and overcoming the odds of beating the Houston Astros in the World Series in 6 games.

Love seeing Kershaw getting lit up and the look his face is priceless. He may have had a HOF regular season career but the fact he will get inducted and being one of the worst post seasons pitchers ever is pretty rough.

Kryptonite - The Nationals kryptonite was winning a playoff series in this era. They finally did it by beating the best team in the National League as underdogs.
It's All Been Done - It's about a breakup wondering if you'll ever see this person again. In reference to the song the fans have been through heartbreak so many times and after losing Bryce Harper you're wondering if they'll see them in the playoffs again.
Bottoms Up - The song is in reference to the phrase which means "a call to finish one's drink" and this connects to the Nationals celebration after winning the franchises first World Series
The fact that astros were sign stealing and still lost the world series just impressive by the nationals winning it
The Nationals changed their signs before the World Series. They assumed that what Altuve did with the buzzer in Game 7 was for the worst and changed everything possible

Why did you put faded form from years in 1981, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2017 while the nationals have lost the postseason
That answer is simple my friend. It's an underdog story. It symbolizes all of the playoff failures beforehand to show the past history of the team.
At least Nationals are sad that they lost to the postseason of the teams: Dodgers, Cardinals, Giants and Cubs. But 2 years later, they won the World Series the now the national league east teams are happy that the Washington Nationals have won the World Series against the cheaters, Houston Astros. Right, 408 feet?
