I bought a brand new 2013 because it was cheaper than a 2012. At first, I couldn't get use to the front cowling and thought it looked down right ugly. It's been 5 months of riding and I have grown to love it. I do think that for a few extra thousands you can get the best looking bike, the Ducati 899, it is sexy. It's just that handling and performance wise, Honda beats it hands down.
Max Chau few extra thousands? the CBR600R is £10,000, for the money you get a 20 year old inline 600cc engine with no character, rubbish brakes, rubbish suspension and finally rubbish look. In other hand, with £2,700 extra, you get Ducati 899 panigale, with excellent brakes/suspension, that awesome V-twin 899 engine, gorgeous looking bike with mental sound. 899 panigale is a bargain for what you get.
Sam Rad My Hyosung GT650R has character, the other day it told me to relax and keep going after a nice hard ride - since we have over half a tank of gas - next thing I know I'm stranded on the highway, fun times.
+Sam Rad A ducati is the bike you talk your friend into buying. You get to ride it every once in a while but he is the one who has to take care of it, pay maintenance costs, and worry about it getting stolen haha.
To me this bike is bringing a classic futuristic look to it ... First bike to go retro looking just like the muscle cars..mustang ..camaro etc .. in my opinion it looks mean as fuck .. I guess people on here don't like change ..not to mention Honda made this design to also help guide air into the intake ..I have this bike and at first thought it was ugly when I saw it on the internet ..once I saw it in person I loved it ...I don't track this bike so it being underpowered doesn't matter to me .. and everyone knows if you track the bike you obviously work on it to become way faster so really who cares about production numbers if your just an daily rider.. all I can say is all bikes are fucking sick .. and all bikes have their flaws..

For the most part 90% the bikes all have pretty much same style..it's little things like headlights and whatnot that people look into ...but my friend has a 1199 panigale and when we had both our bikes beside each other they looked similar in the front end so I thought that was a plus for this bike :)

Toqwert33 to be honest all those bikes are awesome but from my personal experience with my bike had been amazing so far I have 15,000kms on it and not one thing wrong with it... If u are planning to use it for daily street riding and commuting to work I think the cbr is more comfortable ... The power in the 3 bikes are very comparable.. the ergonomics they way you sit and lean on the bike to me is perfect on my bike.. the other thing I love and has saved my bacon is the ABS .. I know the zx6r doesn't have abs ... The r6 I believe doesn't either in the years you have stated... However they are all nice I would be happy with any of them ... But if ur looking for the cbr and leaning towards it than do it :) as I said it's been an absolute blast for me ..I have friends who have gsxr 1000 and a Ducati 1199 .. I have been on both and I can say my cbr is extremely nimble compared to the 2 ... But obviously the DUC is a beast lol .. anyways hopefully this helps Ya out I love my bike and if you get the same I'm sure you will love it as well !

It's ugly as hell, it Looks like somebody drove it against a street barrier! I prefer the last Modell over it anyday. Also, the bike has not more performance than the last model. Compared to it's competition it can't hold up anymore and it's outdated in terms of suspension.

Honda made both the cbr1000rr and cbr600rr based on street friendliness; It has enough power but not to much, it won't tire you out as quick and it has combined abs which is 5x better than the regular abs.

interesting to see the differing opinions on the new fairing - I find this new body style to be much more handsome than the outgoing model. To my eye it's not only one of the best looking Honda's ever made, but one of the most attractive sport bikes currently for sale at any price point.

I just bought a 1999 zx7-r. It rocks. I'm having so much fun with it. I hope Honda would launch a 750. It would be a perfect machine.
