    Im so glad you finally did a 600rr review. I have an '08 i got this year with only 5000 miles on it. From all the research I've done, they started to detune the cbr 2009 and after for no apparent reason. The cbr is my very first bike, and when I was originally looking into bikes, this was not on my radar whatsoever. I've been an avid cyclist for years and have even worked in shops a number of years so the transition from pedal to motorbikes was completely natural. Honestly, i was in the middle of buying a brand new 500rr when i found the 600 only a few blocks away from my home... in matte black; exactly as I wanted. I live in Canada, so unfortunately ive had to put her up on stands as of two weeks ago. I'm 5' 9" with long legs and she sits perfectly, even with my long legs. I felt the R6 was far more aggressive in every way. The cbr is absolutely perfect for every day riding, as I rode her nearly six months straight to work and back. (Which is pretty nice, if you live here.) The roads here are some of the twistiest i've seen in any vehicle. Nothing but mountains, hills, and valleys everywhere. I'm mostly self taught aside from the 5 days of MSF school i took. Second best money spent next to the bike. All I gotta say really, is if you are looking for a laser-precise bike that will go exactly where you point it and deliver the power you need to get out of any situation instantaneously, look no further that the cbr. I somehow acquired my exact dream bike and I really cant wait to start motovlofing with the rest of ya'll!! props c2w!!

    Your review(s) make no sense. The difference in riding position between a CBR600RR and an R6 is night and day -- I've owned both simultaneously so I know, The R6 is significantly more aggressive, both in clip-on positioning and rearset height/angle back. The CBR is way more relaxed, with raised clip-ons that come stock and lower/more forward rearsets...although it's still a race bike. I'm 6'1" and the CBR is by far the most comfortable 600 for the street (and has the best motor for the street too for a 600...aside from the 636 and 675).
    If you feel crunched up on a CBR, I'm shocked you still ride an R6. All this video screams is "I love my R6 because it's the best looking bike and I'll find anything to critique on other 600s." Yes we all love the R6 but call a spade a spade.

    600's are great, practical. Down low in the rev range nice and smooth can ride around town easily nice and predictable. Kick it back a few gears and wring the throttle and you have a demon that will easily lose your license or your life. In my opinion it would take a lot of riding, proper riding, not highway miles, to outgrow these bikes and move on to the litre class.

    I have the 2011 with akrapovic and absolutely love everything about this bike. I'm 5'11" and fit and the riding position as well as the seat i find amazingly comfortable. It's super smooth, pulls nicely from 5k rpm, stable and with new tyres i just had fitted it feels like it defies the laws of physics. Can't compare to a lot of other supersports 600s but to me it won hands down over a 636 and daytona

  • @mavricxx

    Love the undertail exhaust and the fact it actually has a fuel gauge! This is the ONLY sport bike left with the undertail exhaust besides Ducati I think. The reasons I personally don't like this bike are the color schemes they offer, they suck except for the Repsol edition. I love how GSX-R does their color schemes but I hate the front fascia look. Next is that I wish it came with adjustable rearsets. Finally, the thing I hate about this bike are the turn signals lights. I wish they made them integrated like Kawasaki has with the 650R, the ZX6R and many of their other bikes.

    Still waiting for a Daytona 675R first ride, hopefully you can get your hands on one in the near future.
    Also found it interesting that the Honda has the under tail exhaust system, earlier Daytona's had the under tail exhaust, but Triumph decided to go with a standard side mount exhaust on the later models as it made the bike more flickable.

Probably not the most comfortable thing, but if that's your issue, don't be trying to buy a super sport in the first place am I right! I'm glad I went from a 2006 675 to a 12 675R. I love my 600RR because it's the perfect balance of racing performance and controllability for me. Riding a bigger and more powerful bike is more of handful and is more scary than fun when trying to haul ass. It's way more enjoyable to ride something very light and nimble with a somewhat forgiving powerband that enables smooth cruising *and* have more than enough punch to thrill you with the throttle cranked up but not quite enough to make you nervous.

  • @airborneivan
    @airborneivan 8 років тому

    love the cbr's. had a 05 600rr ad was awesome. power kicked in at 8000 and it was powerful. the bike was a little taller but I do prefer the higher pegs. when tucked in you in a more aggressive position and I feel contributes to better control of the bike in and out of turns. one day I'll get another one.

    • @RyanMcIntyre
      @RyanMcIntyre 8 років тому +3

      +a non 07 is when Honda relaxed the whole machine for commuters though, the original 03-06RR was a no-compromise track bike, and actually made the R6 look like a chump until 08 when Yamaha stepped up their game. I would actually agree that post-07 is the "better" bike because I don't think pure race bikes are a lot of fun off the track, but it's hard to compare apples to apples when the focus is so different between two generations of machine.

    • @krysistheabyss
      @krysistheabyss 8 років тому

      Ryan McIntyre i like 03-06 because they're dirt cheap so a good bang for your buck, but i like the 07-08 because of how light they are.

    The low rpm torque is plenty for city riding esp up to 5k. The engines revs up very quickly, so you'll have no problem passing traffic up.
