I take you through the winter pruning of a mature apple tree. All I use is a ladder, secateurs and pruning saw.
This pruning reduces the weight of branches during heavy summer crops, improves access, promotes formation of fruiting spurs and removes dead/diseased material to keep the tree healthy, productive and vigorous!
