These watches are just gorgeous in the flesh, and definitely give off an MR-G G1000 vibe as you stated in your last video. I also prefer the dial layout to the older B1000, as it looks more balanced with the MT-G logo at 12 o'clock. Cheers.
I just bought the MTG2000 blue version to replace my MTG1000. I love the lighter weight of this new line. BTW, these metal G's have excellent resale value. Got $725 for my MTG1000. Another excellent video, Rob!

The bezel & sapphire glass are an assembly. I believe they are bonded together at the factory. ~$200.00 to replace so different colors would be expensive. Replacement bands are also expensive. I don't know if a carbon fiber bezel will be manufactured since it utilizes a 12 sided polygonal shape.
I like it, but I wish there were more digital models in the MT-G and MR-G lines. They did just come out with the MR-G square, but I have an MTGM900DA-8 and I can't help but think how they could make some awesome digital models. There used to be quite a few.
b2000 has better comfort by far. It misses the battery indicator if you dont want the smartphone connection. I prefer the patterned solar panels on the B1000. I sold the b1000 and bought the b2000 far better to wear
This model does not auto connect via Bluetooth for time adjustment four times per day, and the Self Check feature is very confusing, does it self connect once a day, or only when we manually connect. So far mine has failed to auto connect
A stunning time piece. These G Shocks are really top notch👍. I'm gonna buy the silver version with the black bezel as its a bit more of a neutral colour way. It's interesting that they come with a quick release system. Hopefully they will release a separate rubber strap so you can swap between bracelet and rubber (the blue one comes on a plastic/rubber strap).

The triple motors are very fast versus the 1000 model. I don't like that it is thicker. G Shock's website says it's 15.9 mm thick versus 14.4 mm on the 1000 model. It's also heavier at 127 grams with the resin band. I would like to see a blacked out version with carbon graphite bezel and black resin band. I look forward to seeing it in a store in person. I would like to compare it side-by-side with the 1000.
What pushed me towards this rather than the 1000 was the symmetry. I just could not deal with not having a functional button at 10 o clock on the 1000.
Does anyoone noticed that this model is NOT syncing via BT, 4x per day as other MTG & Gsteels? Nothing is mentioned about the 4 time auto sync in the manual nor website. Supoose to sync at 1230am/pm and 630am/pm. The lume is very poor compared to the MTG B1000
You should start doing wrist checks at the beginning of your videos to show us what you're currently wearing :) I owned an MTG-B1000 last year and sold it because on my 6.5" wrist, it just didn't wear comfortably. The rubber band was comfy but the crown guards would bite into my wrist and feel uncomfortable after only 1-2 hours. Do you think this version wears better?
I've never really been a fan of G-shocks, but damn, this one looks great! Only bad thing about it is that it looks like it would be way too big for my wrist. Thanks for the review!
I have a big wrist and even then the steel band version of the GST B100 still looks a bit too big for me. But yes, they look extremely sporty and undeniably eye catching

Just went to my local AD and they didn’t have any B2000’s nor did they have any listed in their 2020 fall/winter book that he “just got”. Tried on a B1000 MTG just to get in the ballpark of what to expect. Quite a nice piece. I’m going to check back with him in a couple of weeks as he suggested but he didn’t seem to know much to start with and him questioning me about online shopping was pretty off putting. If there is a line to somebody I can work with to source one of these, I’d be very grateful. Respect from Las Vegas. Keep up the good work.
Wasn't crazy about the previous MTG. This one, wow. Never liked how it was metal + resin, I felt that at the price of an MRG, it should really be a screw back. This watch with the carbon resin really changes things, as there's no longer a rear 4-screw panel. It looks premium and I bet it feels crazy light.
I don't consider it light but I guess for its size it is. Compared to a ga2100 or dw5600, it's pretty heavy. very well balanced though and comfortable. It has that luxury watch feel.

why PVD a 1000 ish watch? It is beyond me although it looks good but it will wear out having said that just bought the stainless one christmas present to myself ;-). I think it is because G shock is supposed to be plastic so lets colour it in. great watch G shock you do not need to paint it

More like a fashion watch than a tough shock proof watch, since the ring bezel is very easy being scratched
