It's truly a shame that such a glorious show didn't receive the life it deserved. This, for me, is Broadway. This caliber of talent, level of production and originality. Now we're just left with jukebox musicals and movies put on stage. A shame.

Pippin only won because it was the favorite, not the best.

I for one think Pippin deserved the win, but this production was also amazing!

CookieAnon I can’t believe more people don’t mention that. Like Jessie Mueller might be talented or whatever but I have zero respect for someone who does brown face.

@@amanday3103 Blame the writer and the director. They're just there to sign a contract before make up was even considered.

Or Pippin was the "favorite" because more people preferred it to Drood. It's all subjective, but things don't become the favorites in award races without some people finding merit in them first.
