I just wanted to say thank you so much for or this video! I’ve made so many of these for friends and family and they always turn out so beautifully! Just finished one for my little sister and she requested a burnt orange and earthy green case. My favorite is using cotton yarn with cream and sage green they always look so cute. My favorite is letting the person pick the colors and if they want scallops or not but I get to pick the button to add my personal touch. Thank you so much!!
this is the best tutorial on youtube!! as a beginner, i find some things hard to understand, but you explain and show everything so good, so i had no problem making this cute kindle sleeve and i am obsessed! thank you so much ☺
Agreed. I struggle to follow tutorials because they move so fast and they really did well with making this seem super easy. This is how I learned to keep yarn in my work instead of having to cut and start every color change
You..... You just taught me how to do the second line in my crochet 🧶 GOD LORD my supplies have been sitting in a box for 6 months because all i could do was one line 🤣 THANK YOU
Thank you for the tutorial☺️ this actually was my second attempt to crocheting and I can say I am super proud! I made it black and pink and I love it (it's not even that wonky as I imagined 😂)
I had such a fun time making this crochet Kindle sleeve! This tutorial was just what I was looking for! BTW I love your accent! I made my case for a Kindle paper white 2024 In brown and white! Because the paper is a little bit bigger, I did six squares wide, and 18 squares for the length! I also did a two single crochet border and to join the sides of I used slip stitches
This was such a great video to follow! I made mine a monochromatic teal with a light teal and slightly darker teal. I ended up extending the scallop edge with one extra scallop (7 on each side) so they would end where the flap folds over!
Love this pattern! it's super easy for a beginner ❤ i made mine in lilac and burnt orange. I also skipped the scalloping on the edges and just joined using single crochet. Thanks so much. Would recommend makers check the sizing before finishing as i had to add on a couple more rows and an extra single crochet round on the edges to make it the correct size. ❤
Thank you for tutorial! I crocheted this with one yarn (it has more colours in shades of pink and purple) and I didn't do squares, so It was for me a little bit easier. My case looks great! 😍❤️ I crocheted this case for PocketBook Basic Lux 2.
hi so I’m using different weight of yarn and I struggle with measurements - could you share information about measurements the panel should have? 👀 thanks ❤️
Hi there, I’m quite new to crochet and when I’m switching yarn making this it leaves a trail from the last colour to the next, how do you disguise this when you move on to the next colour? Thank you :) love the design and this tutorial is so simple to follow!
When you are stitching, lay the other yarn on top of the stitch you are putting the hook into so it’s inside of each stitch you make! Before you switch colours, it helps to pull the unused colour so you can’t see it through each stitch. I hope it makes sense, it’s very hard to write lol 😅
3 stack of single crochet makes it look more of a square on my piece, so I decided to change color every 3 lines instead of 4, but is it ok? Will it change much of the result?
this was such a great tutorial thank you! i was wondering if i would be allowed to make and sell these, with some slight changes, giving credit to you of course for the pattern!
did you figure out how to adjust it for a bigger paperwhite size? i’m a beginner crocheter so i’m scared to mess around w the pattern without knowing what to do
@@vees_reflectionsI have a 2018 Paperwhite, so I decreased my hook to a 3.5mm and chained the width based on my personal tension. So my CH was 19 instead of 21 to fit my Paperwhite.
Mine looks bad from the back and when i turn the project to continue with the next round it makes it look bad from both sides because i dont know how to hide the other yarn color :( i'll have to follow another tutorial
I’m just going to follow your tutorial and hope for the best!😂 This is going to be a present and I have no idea if she has Kindle or tolino but it looks like it would fit 😁
I made these two pouches the exact same but I think it looks different because with the light pink and yellow you can’t see the colours carried underneath. With the dark and light pink they’re more contrasting so it’s a bit more noticeable 😊
I made this size in the video to fit the latest kindle paper white model but you can adjust the pattern if you need by adding or taking away squares or rows 😊
hello, this is a wonderful tutorial. I just want to ask on how did you did the same pattern to the other side in the scallop edges part? Did you turn your work? Thank you!
@@crochetbyskye thank you for the lovely pattern. Unfortunately I didn’t understand how do you turn your work? I tried but couldn’t manage! Is it ok to start the other side from the bottom? Thanks
hi! i have a question... when we single crochet around the entire piece how do i know where to knit it? :') like i can´t differentiate the knots, help :')
I can follow the general gist of this but when swapping colours I don't know how to carry or hold the other piece of yarn because if I drop it theres lines across my work of the yarn? It's hard to explain in text 😭😭
@@crochetbyskye I finished it 🙏🏼 5 squares (5 sc in each square) and instead of 15 squares up it became 22 😅😊 but it is very pretty and im so happy with it, fits my kindle basic -22 perfect 😊
So for a book you should make the width bigger, so adding more squares on your first row to allow it to go around the thickness of your book because the kindle is quite thin. Hope this helps!
I'm confused. On the fourth row where you are supposed to switch colors at the end, am I supposed to continue doing this for all 15 rows? Or do I just do this on the 4th row only???
Hi I accidentally only did three stitches in each different color and I only did 4 sets of checkers instead of 5 do you have any ideas that I can make it bigger?
I really love the colors you used in the video! If a viewer were to sell an item made using this pattern, are you comfortable with that? Everyone feels differently about it, so that’s why I ask. Thanks! :)

What size Kindle does this fit?
this is so cute and easy to follow! just discovered your channel and I am super excited to follow your other videos as well 🫶🤍
Loved it! I made two already💗 thank you
My dumbass finished the whole panel before checking if it was big enough. I realize now this tutorial is NOT FOR A PAPERWHITE.
Good additional information because I would have been devastated if I would have finished it and it wasn’t big enough
Is is for the size for the 2022 6” kindle? That’s what I have.

Hi there! I'm in the uk and 4ply yarn seems so thin in comparison to what you've shown. Is there possibly another name?
my mom just crocheted this for me! 🥹 it came out so cuuuute thank you

hi! i have a question... when we single crochet around the entire piece how do i know where to knit it? :') like i can´t differentiate the knots, help :')
What kind of yarn did you use? It looks super cute!
This is so cute. Im new to crochet, does anyone know how to make this the right size for the new paperwhite?
Made one for my mum in grey and brown! Ganna make one for myself in sage green and white!
That would look so nice!
Let me know if you make your own case 😊
Amei!! super fácil!!
oii, vc fez no mesmo tamanho que ela tá ensinando? meu kindle é o 10 geração, to com medo de fazer e não caber
does anyone have recommendation of what kind of the yarn is best to use
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I was just wondering if you suggest Cotton yarn? Thank you.
Thank you soo much for you or the video! It gave me a lot of intrest
looooove this!
Thank you! 😊
I can follow the general gist of this but when swapping colours I don't know how to carry or hold the other piece of yarn because if I drop it theres lines across my work of the yarn? It's hard to explain in text 😭😭
Are you like stitching the actual other colour at the same time behind your hands?
When you carry the other yarn you want to make your stitches with it inside if that makes sense. So your new colour stitch goes over that old colour
@@crochetbyskye Thank you!! I tried again and that works 🩷
Dose ot work with 3ply yarn?
I want to use a thinner yarn with a 3,5 mm hook, how can I adjust this pattern to make it match my kindle? 🥰
I’m also thinking about doing this in green and white… will I see the green yarn through the white one? ❤️
You can add an extra ‘square’ or two so chain more when you start and then add another row or two to accomodate your kindle size. Hope this helps 😊

@@crochetbyskye thank you!! it really helped 🤍 (ps: your tutorial is so good!!)

For the scalloped edges, do you place the 3 hdc all in the same stitch?
Yes 🙂
I'm confused. On the fourth row where you are supposed to switch colors at the end, am I supposed to continue doing this for all 15 rows? Or do I just do this on the 4th row only???
Just the 4th row so that you can complete the checker 😊
If I don’t want to do the scalloped edge can I just slip stich the sides together? :)
Yes! or a single crochet will probably be a bit more secure😊
I’m making this for my best friend’s sisters 16th birthday!! Because she has a kindle❤️
That’s so nice! What colours are you using? I love my kindle case I hope she loves it too 💗
@@crochetbyskye blue and white!!
Is this for a 6.8 inch Kindle?
Hi I accidentally only did three stitches in each different color and I only did 4 sets of checkers instead of 5 do you have any ideas that I can make it bigger?
You might have to restart unfortunately! Or if you don’t want to restart you can make multiple rows of the boarder once you have the length you want
Very nice, thank you.🤩🤩
Thanks so much 😊
I'm struggling to do this, idk why!?😭😭 I know how to chain, sc and my tension is fine but idk!!

Yes I’m ok with that 😊
Thank you! I will give credit to your pattern when I first post about it!
Hello what is the finished size of this?
Is it for the kindle paperwhite?
Yes 😊
Could using a 4.25mm or 5mm hook be okay??
Yes it should be fine 😊
hey is dk yarn suitable for this project 🥺
I’m not sure what yarn that is but you can pretty much use any as long as you have the right size hook 😊
@@crochetbyskye oh! dk is short for double knitting!
I just made this and for some reason my piece came out too small 😢
Is this for the newest kindle paperwhite 11th gen?
how much yarn to make this crochet
I used about 100g in total 😊

How many rows is 15 checkers if I'm just doing solid colour instead? (counting two rows per horizontal line of the single crotchet stitch)
